I cannot reconcile my love of Dwayne Johnson with the fact that he was The Rock. Well the rock, the character, didn't voice Maui in Moana - Dwayne did. See, now I'm being an ass. What can you say except you’re welcome?

I hate cross body bags. They just bounce against my hip and then slide to the back or front of me. I’d rather a backpack. But I’m living the fanny pack life for this summer at least. I Like the idea of a backpack but I need a bag like this usually in crowds and I'm worried about theft.

Am I missing some reasonable explanation for why someone would choose to wear a fanny pack over, say, a small crossbody? Like, I have a small crossbody on a thin strap that is big enough to hold just my phone, keys, a credit card. Why on earth would I want a fanny pack? For myself, and the usage I’m picturing, the crossbody would swing and slide around a lot. The playground, for example. Lots of bending down, picking up, putting down, etc. with a honey badger 1 year old. Again, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this. That is my confession. That makes sense. I do use it at the park or when we go for walks, etc. I guess I see the appeal for that but there is ZERO change my short fat ass can pull off a fanny pack

I think Dwayne Johnson is hilarious and a great actor and incredibly sexy. I just always giggle at the ridiculousness of the WWE character and think it’s crazy/awesome he managed such a successful acting career after.

Lots of actors do odd stage jobs before they make it big. His just happened to be on a bigger scale and actually paid decent.

It's a reference to the conversation we had before here about princess Leah. It's okay. You had to be there and I was being an ass.

I saw The Rock at the Staples Center way back during the Attitude era. I was sitting super close to the aisle and had my "do you want to marry me?" Poster. He pointed at my poster and did the eyebrow thing. It came out on Monday Night Raw

Ah. Ok miawallace I see I missed something. I was like, wtf did I say? I don’t have issue with his WWE career I just think it’s rare/impressive he transitioned his career into that of a blockbuster-level actor. Usually former wrestlers are kindof laughed out of town when they try to get into acting or whatever.

Very entertaining.

My leather backpack is so convenient that barely remember how I functioned before it. I'm back to that diaper bag life again soon though. Sigh. Same. Same. 😩 I have a “leather” backpack diaper bag from Freshly Picked had it is the most amazing thing ever. It looks real but is easy to clean. And it leave both of my hands free for wrangling three children.

My aunt gifted me a very nice diaper bag from her shop when I found out I was pregnant, so I’m going to try to make tht work, but I will keep this in mind if I can’t make it work!

I feel like it can't be that uncommon for folks to poop when the take a drug test. Like if you happen to have to poo, are you supposed to hold it in? but men probably don't, right? Poop isn't flying out of their butts as they stand and pee, is it? So late, but this has me cry laughing. You're the best brux

Usually former wrestlers are kindof laughed out of town when they try to get into acting or whatever. That's because a lot of them weren't very good actors and just wanted a bit role to have money come in and to try to stay relevant. They allowed themselves to be very typecast and made no efforts to move beyond that. I'm sure there was some laughing at first.

I’ll admit I’m laughing a bit about Gronkowski trying to transition over. I’ve heard he has gotten advice from The Rock though. But I can’t take Gronk seriously.

I don't think he's (Dwayne) in the same league as someone like Daniel Day Lewis or anything. Who knows. He might shock us one day. But He's a good entertainer and has a ton of charisma and that makes him the perfect actor for the movies he's always cast in. He plays towards his strengths.
He was part of the handful of wrestlers who resurrected WWE with his Rock character. I imagine it must have been hard to successfully thrive in a dying industry at that time.

I love to see my boys succeed outside of wwe. I didn't watch wrestling, but I've enjoyed every movie I've seen him in. My favorite, though, is the meme about how only the Rock could make Vin Diesel look small. 😂
