So I'm stressing myself out about flying today. I don't know how I'm going to get the baby, suitcase, carseat bag, stroller and my backpack to check in. Our airport doesn't have curbside check and I called to see if they had some sort of service where someone could watch my bag so I could go park but they don't. I am picturing myself super sweaty and gross by the time I get inside to check in.

Good morning ladies!
We are up and busy as usual. After showering and breakfast, I cleaned up, swept floors and straightened up a bit. I just put the baby down because he was sleepy. Today is my dads birthday so I just put cupcakes in the oven. He and my stepmom are coming over for lunch and I am pretty excited about it.
Tonight I am going to work for a bit.

sarahh, just leave yourself plenty of time! I assume your suitcase has wheels? If so wear the baby, put your carseat in the stroller, attach your backpack to the suitcase and you should be okay. As soon as you check in the suitcase at least will go away and it won't be so hard.

After a few crazy weeks of work it is starting to slow down. It is 9:00 and I'm all caught up with most of today's assignments complete... I may take advantage of the down time and make a trip to Costco so we don't have to go this weekend when it is crowded.
Poor Faith still isn't sleeping well at daycare. She she only slept 1.5 hours TOTAL while she was there (8-5:15ish)... She came home and was happy but soooo tired. I nursed her and she fell asleep at 6 and she napped until 8:00, at 7 ounces (!!!!!) and then went right back to sleep. She woke up at 3:00 this morning to eat, and around 6:00 wanting a pacifier so I brought her into bed with us and she slept until my alarm went off at 7:30. I just keep telling myself that she will adjust and we just need to wait this out. I'm just sad that we get so little time with her awake during the week because she just wants to sleep when she is home.

H and I had a huge talk last night and this morning about how I’m feeling so hopefully things start to change.
We were up twice last night but I’m not sure if the shelf next to the crib hadn’t come crashing down at midnight he would have woken up. Talk about your heart racing.

GL sarahh! I’ve only flown with my kids once, and I only had 2 at the time, and it was a family vacation so there was 6 adults to the 2 kids lol. I haven’t flown a ton in general so I’d be feeling flustered too! You’ll rock it though! |

Well daycare just called and DD1 has a fever of 101.3 so I'm guessing HFM like DD2 or possibly a stomach bug that is going around at school I guess.
Hopefully I can coordinate at home DD1 not getting near DD2 who seems to be feeling somewhat better before we leave.

I am not sure how I still have hair on my head - I am still losing so much hair!!! I think cutting my hair short and being on thyroid meds this time have significantly helped as far as my hair loss. |

Good luck sarahh!! Anytime I flew with DD as a baby I’d wear her & pile all the stuff into the car seat/stroller. I’m flying alone w both kids at the end of the summer & that’s my plan again. |

yellow711 , Faith is 4.5 months and my hair loss is now just slightly more than normal. My hair feels so much thinner than during pregnancy and when I pull my hair back you can see my scalp along my hair line. Not quite bald, but I feel like it. sarahh, I hope they both feel better soon!

sarahh I would park, put babe in carrier and go get one of those suitcase trolley things bring back to car and put all the stuff on it, including stroller folded, then go check everything in. I would check all things there and bring my stroller through to the plane. Good luck, possibly flammable but I think they should pass out Xanax, flying stresses me out.

I took the kids to the lake this morning for some playground/beach time 🙌🏻 Bonus to being able to go during the week is we get the whole place to ourselves so super easy to keep an eye on them and even have some time to chill out a little!
Supposed to be hot on Saturday, and I found out some friends are thinking of going, so if we can get our life organized hopefully can go back for some more hangout time then!

Yesterday he literally only slept for 20 min. Wtf!!! Today he slept for 2 30 min increments. He wants to go to sleep at 6 but then will wake up at 4:30am for the day. Today I'm going to let him nap till 6:30 and then wake him up for a bath and then put him to sleep. I hope these babies get more used to DC soon!!! |

sweetsurprise, Faith slept a little better at daycare today, but she fell asleep at 6:00 and still out. I'm going to wake her up in a few to give her a bath, feed her and try to get her to be awake for a little bit before putting her down.

I hope it went okay sarahh!! Flying with kids is so stressful but I have always been lucky enough to encounter kind strangers who are willing to help. I hope the same is true for you. |

So I’m here. Since DH had to take a half day to get DD1 from daycare they both took us to the airport which was good. Baby was a little fussy on flight one then passed out in my arms. She was fine in the airport in her stroller but awful the first part of the 4 hour flight. I could tell she was tired but she wouldn’t give in. She finally fell asleep an hour and a half in and slept the rest of the way in the empty middle seat until I had to wake her for landing and she was pissed. Luckily a mom behind me held her while I packed up my carryon and also helped me open my stroller.
I don’t think I’ve appreciated DH more than after traveling alone with a baby haha
