This would be a no for me. How old are your kids? 5 and 2 (she'll be almost 3) Yeah, this is very weird for me. I have a few more questions. Is this a wedding you have to travel to or is it in your town?

I 1000% did not spend or appreciate my college time/experience the way some of ya'll talk and reminisce about yours and I have the regretz. Same. I met MH at the end of my freshman year and while I have no regrets, I probably should have fucked a lot more randos.

I would say this is really typical of accounting, legal, finance, real estate industries, where you have access to info that can cost the company money. IME too, when you give your notice, security is getting called and you’re leaving. for sure. I've had an instance where the office manager stood over my desk as I gathered my things and made sure I didn't send any emails. When my entire group got laid off when I worked on Wall Street, they literally were like "your login info has been changed while you were in this meeting and you won't have access to your computer anymore". Done and done. It's basically engrained in me that you don't store shit you need on your work computer, or you back it up on a flash drive. And you get all your affairs in order before you give notice. 08 on Wall Street? Shit was crazy then. I remember DealBreaker would get tips about what the lady doing the firings looked like at MH’s company. It would say “Asian middle aged woman, black leather boots, red skirt, heading to the 9th floor of the 42nd Street office!” And everyone on the 9th floor would scramble to get what they needed before getting laid off. Eventually, the company blocked access to DealBreaker and I would stalk it for MH and text him updates. It was such a weird time. I legit backed up my shit before I told the president of my company I was pregnant. I had no intention of leaving then but I have always been taught you get what you need before you let someone know of that kind of change. Those industries are ruthless. There’s no two weeks.

I couldn't disagree more. You are assuming every 18 year old knows what they want to do with their life. Plus those electives in college is what made me realize what things interest me and I feel like I gained a lot from those classes that I still use just as much as those towards my major And plus also college fun One of my electives is what made me change my major to something I actually liked. I would have hated life if I'd stuck with my original major. If I didn't have all 4 years of college I'd be working at Fox News now probably cause I wouldn't have had time to change my trajectory and I'd have just taken the job after my internship. WOOF.

More than anything about college time I just miss being able to live with and hang out with friends any time. Like the drinking and shenanigans led to some good times, but the best was the late night hangs and just being like intertwined in my friend’s lives in a way that is not possible once you become a real adult. Walking into an apartment or house any time of the day (without knocking) and knowing that you’d find someone down to hang and do something with.
And all the opportunities to meet new people and try new things.
And as stressed as I was then, god, I would give to have that level of stress back.

I 1000% did not spend or appreciate my college time/experience the way some of ya'll talk and reminisce about yours and I have the regretz. Same. I lived with my parents and commuted. I also crammed all of my classes into two days a week and 1 or 2 evenings so I could work the other 3 week days and Saturday mornings (was a bank teller).
Ragerts here too.

I did it backward and did the “safe” drugs in my high school years instead of college. That was a mistake.

fikafairy Happy birthday! I would clearly tell him what you want and expect for your birthday. I have. I told him yesterday, for the 11th year in a row, that I want to continue the tradition my family had growing up - "waking" up the birthday person singing happy birthday and some kind of breakfast or beverage. For my parents, we always brought coffee. I have made sure that DS gets it each year on his birthday, and honestly it's usually a toaster waffle. He went downstairs this morning to eat his own breakfast, didn't even start the coffee running, and then came back up and went to bed. I got up, took a shower, got myself dressed and got DS dressed while he rolled around hitting the snooze button. Then even after he got up and was asking about DS's lunch, and if I started coffee - nothing. I left for work with nothing. I mean, I don't know how much more clear I need to be. This is the same conversation we have had every year, and at least before this he would usually SAY something, even though he wouldn't do anything really. I'm sorry, that really sucks. It cannot be that hard. Happy birthday to you and I wish I could bring you some breakfast.

Does he HAVE to be in the wedding? A polite decline and explanation as to why He's the ring bearer. My husband works for the bride's father (his uncle). Yes, we have to go. ugh...and what a "great" time you will have at the wedding entertaining the ringbearer (prop) since there will be NO other kiddos around! If it's a no kid wedding then no kids! Including a ringbearer! Sorry this really sucks

I would have hated life if I'd stuck with my original major. I wish I would have taken a broader range of classes my first 2 years instead of focusing only on science. It wasn't until my last semester that I took an English class and realized how much I loved it. It was way too late at that point though to even think of continuing on. I just needed to graduate and start making some money.

I didn't sleep much last night. Only way you will get me in a minivan.

I post the monthly quote of the month for my team’s visibility wall. I enjoy some inspirational quotes. ::ducks and covers:: I enjoy reading them and sharing them as well. I know this tends to be frowned upon in some parts.

I want to do away with your traditional 4 year degree. Why four years? So much time is wasted. We should be focusing on trade schools and revamping college majors/areas of study to have a degree length reflective of that particular industry/area. Not everything should fit into this perfect 4 year degree program. Some more. Some less. Otherwise, it feels like some degrees are just fang receipts and not a mastery of subject. I couldn't disagree more. You are assuming every 18 year old knows what they want to do with their life. Plus those electives in college is what made me realize what things interest me and I feel like I gained a lot from those classes that I still use just as much as those towards my major And plus also college fun Yes. I went in as a film major lolol A very bad one. At that time, it was my one and only life goal to work in film. Reality hit very hard when I saw the dedicated work of my peers. Thank god I had a few more years to get my act together!

My poor decisions mostly involved hooking up with guys who wanted more. Can't we just leave it at a drunken night of fun, guys? Why do we need to date? I had one like that. Look, just because we had sex in your closet doesn't mean we are forever, sir.

Actually. I never had a walk of shame with anyone at my college during college. I would makeout with boys and do finger stuff but I had a serious problem with excess. So while everyone was going upstairs with guys, I was the asshole like, “you got drugs? Oh go get them! I’m never going home!” In retrospect, guys probably hated me in college.

I have an SUV with a 3rd row, but I can’t wait until I live the minivan life. Maybe it’s just my SUV, but the second row feels so tight, but there’s plenty of space in the back when the third row is down. The second row should be able to go back a couple inches, as our rear facing car seats are right up on the driver and passenger seats. I think you need to slide the seats back. I can't think of the SUV where the seats should be on you like that.
(not one with a 3rd row).

Yeah, this is very weird for me. I have a few more questions. Is this a wedding you have to travel to or is it in your town? about 30 minutes away. oh and its the Sunday of labor day weekend in the evening. Ok, I'm a little less annoyed. I mean I realize it's shitty (and as a no-kids bride I had the kids who were in the wedding AND THEIR SIBLINGS allowed at the ceremony and reception) but I would probably just book a sitter early. It sucks, this bride/groom is inconsiderate at best.
