Welcome to the IVF check-in for June! We are currently switching to once a month check ins. Please remember to update us on your progress throughout the month! If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks, you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. Got the official go ahead for this cycle yesterday! Meds have been started, first ultrasound is scheduled for the 16th. I feel like there is nothing to this as far as prep, it makes me nervous that so little is being done and I almost wish they were doing more monitoring.
It's only day 2 on meds, but I'm feeling fine so far. Awful headache Today, but that might be from not sleeping (I work straight night shifts, not uncommon for me). Otherwise I'm hopeful everything will go as planned and I can give them a baby 40 weeks from now.

Just hanging around waiting for CD1 now. I was able to finally start lupron after a lab mixup. I was out of town and went to an independent lab for my progesterone check and they ended up faxing the results to themselves instead of my doctor’s office 🤔
But I was able to get PIO using a synthetic oil that is supposed to be better for people who have allergic reactions to the sesame oil. My injection sites are still a little sore from the first round. Hopefully that makes this round better!

Thanks for the tag. Unfortunately I still haven’t taken care of my test. I need to call this week and get it done. Thanks for the reminder actually, I’ve just been so swamped with work I never think of it until it is too late in the day.

bonzo thanks for the checkin. Unfortunately we were cancelled. 😞 my lining was great at the lining check, except for the polyp that's popped up. So I have to do a sono once I get AF and then the RE will decide if it needs to come out. Nothing is easy for us.

sally, I’m so sorry you got cancelled because of a polyp! Hopefully it can be resolved easily, and you’ll be back on track in a cycle or two.

Hi ladies. I had my retrieval a few weeks ago, got 11 eggs, 4 fertilized and only 1 made it to freeze on day 5. Grade is AB- , the dr gave it a 75% chance of surviving the thaw. Transfer should be sometime around 7/17. I’m still hopeful this one may work but also trying to prepare for if we have to repeat. And figure out how the hell we’ll afford another cycle.

wineandcake, do they have you do progesterone? Do you have betas, or just wait til ultrasound? Yes, I will do progesterone at some point. Not sure about betas vs ultrasound. They haven't really given me a lot of information, I'm not overly pleased with the clinic and wish we had gone with somewhere else.

I would feel so frustrated not knowing when everything was happening. Do you know yet when transfer will happen?

Finally suppression check today! It is CD1, and I’m worried it’s too early, but they don’t do these appointments on Saturdays.

jacks, how was the suppression check? It was good! I was sufficiently suppressed, so I was able to start patches last Friday. Next check is next week, and hopefully will be able to start progesterone then and schedule the biopsy! I’m so glad that it feels like we’re finally making progress.

I’m new here, though I see a few names I know from J15. I have been more absent over there for the last year, but was a regular poster at one time.
***TW*** After fairly easily conception of my two beautiful girls (ages 5 and 3) we have had a much different path to our hopeful #3. In the past year and a half I have had three early losses, which my RE is attributing to my age (35) and failure to produce genetically viable embryos. After our last lost in early May, my husband said he was done watching me go through that and the only option left on the table for him was IVF with PGD.
So here I am. CD1. I go for my baseline ultrasound Friday and, if all is ok, start meds Friday night.
This is extremely surreal to me at this moment and I feel like I’m floating along next to someone going through this, not that it is happening to me. I so badly want another baby but I’m extremely overwhelmed by this whole process and a little shut down in general.

Hi mrsklm. I am sorry about your losses and that you find yourself here. I was definitely overwhelmed when we started IVF. I went to a long class, but most of it went in and out since I hadn’t even seen my plan yet and didn’t know what applied to me. Not saying this is the right way, but I generally take each step as it comes. Like the PIO shots sounded so scary, but by the time I even got to that step, I was so used to doing shots that they were really not a big deal. And this comes from someone who almost fainted the first time I gave myself a shot. Anyways, I hope you get a handle on everything. One that that really helps me is to print out blank calendar templates and write down what I’m supposed to do each day.

Welcome mrsklm. I hope your stay here is short. I understand about being in disbelief, I still wonder sometimes how this is my life. It's not easy but you'll get through it. Good luck!

I went for my lining check this morning and everything looks great. I don't know the exact terms they used, but lining was 9mm (I think? I know they said 9 but I don't exactly remember the unit of measurement) and tri/triple/something. Anyways, I got the call this afternoon yo start progesterone on Monday and we are going ahead with transfer on Saturday. I'm so relieved everything is going according to plan, I was getting quite nervous it wouldn't.

I went in for my first u/s after 3 days of injections. They’re only seeing 3-4 follicles which is in line with am AMH (I think?) numbers but still really disappointing. I’m trying to keep my head up, but I’m feeling really discouraged.

mrsklm, did your RE give you an idea of what to expect based on your numbers? What’s your AMH? wineandcake, sounds like your lining looks good! How’s the progesterone so far?

We should be getting everything finalized this week. My nurse said I’ll likely get the call from the pharmacy this week too. Looks like she’s still on track to start meds around July 3rd or so!
