We're in the middle of moving and my son has always been happiest at home... well we don't have a home until next Wednesday (we're at the inlaws) and he has been a nightmare. I totally understand it, but the screeching is getting old. Today he was doing it in the grocery store, Sunday was at our friends' house, and Saturday was in the car. It's just so LOUD! How can a three year old be that loud?

Age 3 was a pain but 4 is being kinder to us. There are still some...very special moments, but at least now she has some ability to understand logic and reason. It’s the whining that kills me. JUST USE A NORMAL VOICE and we will all survive, child. Omg. The whining. Last night I made M repeat “I want to watch Paw Patrol” until she said it without the whiney voice. That voice killlllllls me.

Re: cravings BAGELS is all I want. Breuggers bagels with ungodly amounts of cream cheese. I’ve been buying 13 bagels and 4 tubs of cream cheese every other week and god forbid someone else touch my stash. 🔪💣 I could eat a million everything bagels with cream cheese.

DD suddenly is doing this high-pitched voice/squeal thing that drives me nuts! like when I get home from work, she squeals "MOMMY'S HOME!" in a super high-pitched voice, and randomly she will talk/yell in a super high voice that grates my nerves. And the spitting, ugh. 2.5 is a challenge, am dreading 3!

I can see the full doctor’s report in an app for the health network. I’m twice referred to as a “very nice patient.” Genuinely curious if that changes, depending on the interaction. Like, has anyone been referred to as a “douche canoe of a patient” or “very mean patient”? Things I wonder.

quijibo that’s interesting! We have a patient portal but I don’t think it’s updated as much as it’s meant to be. I’ve wondered about the appt notes though— would they write something like “over-anxious patient— she is probably going to call the nurse line a lot!” And then post it on the portal? Lol.

Usually there are two separate portals, one for staff only and one that is shared into patient records, which the patient has access to. Unfortunately, both can be subpoenaed as I found when managing a medical office. 😬

Y’all, the high is 102 today. It’s barely June. I’m not going to survive this summer.

Ugh, Dr. Cox, that sounds miserable. It is supposed to be in the 90's here this weekend and I'm already planning on taking the kids to the pool both days. Thanks to this thread I really want Mcd's fries but am feeling lazy and don't want to get up from my desk to go get some. It's an internal struggle.

It’s only 69 right now. I’m not happy. If we could hang out around 80, that’d be peachy.

I was looking though the kids files on the patient portal for the pediatrician. For my 22 month old, it said "smoker status: unknown". I promptly changed it to "non-smoker". 😂

I keep hearing the weatherman say “record high temps”. I’m starting to think he’s doing it just to spite me.
I thought being overdue in August was bad where I lived before.. temps get higher here and there’s tons of humidity compared to barely any.
Don’t mind me as I cry a little.

It’s really hot here too, though at least it’s not that horrible southern humidity.
I’m feeling rather unflattered as I walk around in the loosest, most airy oversized clothing I have to accommodate both the heat and my larger size.
Dressing cute for pregnancy was a lot easier when I was pregnant in the winter.

It is too hot here for me already too. Take me back to Tahoe, the high was 70 last week. 70! We are mid 90s with crazy humidity so I’m not looking forward to rest of summer. Our electric bill was $100 more this month than it was last year at this time and I don’t expect it to go down. Sorry H.

Ugh, I woke up with freaking heartburn this morning! Not the way I want to start my day. Took a pepcid and a couple of tums and still uncomfortable. Thanks, baby.

I live the Zantac life from the time the stick turns pink. And even with that I still woke up with heartburn this am thanks to pizza last night.

I slept like garbage last night. I had acid reflux for the first time in my life and was so uncomfortable. I'm hoping I can avoid trigger foods but we shall see. I'm so tired right now and just want to go to bed after we eat dinner.

I've been craving Mexican food non-stop this pregnancy, so naturally, I went to Qdoba for lunch today and had some amazing tacos and their queso. I've been feeling what was maybe, possibly, flutters, but I'm pretty sure I'm getting my first for real movement now! It's my very favorite part of being pregnant, and I'm so glad that this kid apparently shares my affinity for tacos.

I did not bring enough food to work today and my chiro appt ran late, so I didn't have time to grab lunch after. Sooooo hungry. Seriously considering getting a watermelon gelati from Rita's on my way home (watermelon italian ice and vanilla frozen custard, for the non-philly folk.)
