Wishful Weekend

T-ball was so hot! They called it after 3 innings and Chase passed out on the ride home and chose a nap over lunch. Colin is somehow still hyper?? Anyhow as we were leaving, the next group was just arriving. Within a couple minutes, it was a complete downpour. Close call for us and unfortunate for them. Today was supposed to be the last game but instead, we have 4 more games scheduled through next Saturday. I'm pretty sure any additional rainouts will just be lost and gone forever.

Argh. I work this weekend. It started out with none of our computers here granting us access to use them. The person who should be able to override that does not yet have the permissions to grant us access. So I drove to my other job to get my work laptop, left my office key and had to drive back, found out my bosses' hotspot wasn't working so I had to meet MH down the freeway to get my own hotspot, and then the internet still didn't work for a while. All in all it took about 3.5 hours to get a working computer and I have back-to-back patients scheduled all day including double bookings. Unfortunately this type of crap is not unusual for around here. I've had some no-shows so that helps a little.

I'm bummed I'm missing the girls at soccer today but we're going out for dinner tonight.

Totally random, but we're about 93% sure we're putting in an offer on a house. I've been casually looking for months. Part of that was spurned by redoing the flooring in our home because I didn't want to go through that if we were going to move, but it may happen anyway. The carpet was shot so this will increase the value of our house. So we'll see what happens. I'm not getting too invested in it because our house works for us if this doesn't work out, but it just felt like and there were several signs in the universe saying you should be here.

Omg a friend from elementary school just posted that her husband died suddenly. 3 girls elementary age and they were truly living the best life and the best couple. The funeral may be next weekend, so I may be canceling the trip after all. 💔

That's heartbreaking tallb. When things like that happen it just makes you question your whole world and why such awful things happen to such a happy family. I wish them strength and support. And I'm sorry you have to cancel you're trip. :/

It's 3 or 4 depending on how many kids show up. There were only 3 kids on each team today so they were each batting twice an inning and getting plenty of opportunities to field the ball. They certainly didn't get cheated out of play time.

We just woke up from a family nap and now the kids are wrestling Daddy while i HIH. I might take the kids to polish fest nearby. I feel like a bad friend: my friend that lives in nyc is having a 2nd bday for her daughter and i bailed last minute. MH didn’t want to go because he’s fasting and me taking both kids for a 50 min car ride each way plus finding parking only to be in her apt sounded like fresh hell. She made the effort to come here for O’s bday, so I’m really going to hell.

It was also about a million degrees here today--I feel like we got cheated, our spring was non-existant. We went straight from cold and rain to summer. Now it's raining but at least the temp has dropped a bit.

C and I skipped the tball game since it was during nap time and I knew she'd be a wreck; naturally B played great and had two good hits, so I hate that I missed it :/ After nap, we went out for some geraniums and I ordered some outdoor pillows for our new front porch bench, so everything will be looking good in time for the owner's visit next week

I received my rings that I'll start wearing in place of my wedding ring today. I love them! All the way from Romania. I'm actually surprised I received them so fast

It's been a quiet day for us.

Dude is obsessed with ET so he's pretending to be Elliot and refuses to break character. He's been demanding Reese's Pieces. I went to the gym and took the boys for a walk. We're heading over to visit FIL now. Pete and Atticus might spend the night there and I'm really hoping that happens. I could use a night to myself (once I get X to bed) holding a screaming baby and binging Jane the Virgin.
