Well I am really making myself sound quite attractive-- between cysts and thin hair.
My hair has always been on the thinner side, but it's been feeling/ looking really thin lately. I just cut it quite short- and I do feel like that helps a bit- it looks less scraggly. I also take biotin daily.
Anyone else have any thin hair tricks / tips they can share?

I've mentioned these hair fibers before, but they've been a lifesaver for my pp hair loss. I have dark brown hair so it's fairly easy to cover.

I still take prenatal vitamins often, I feel like that helps a lot with my hair texture. Not much help but something small you could try!!

I take a hair skin and nail vitamin, my stylist told it was better than the straight biotin because the other vitamins work together or some shit lol. I get it at a health food store but I don’t remember the name and I’m not home. Also, twice a week I do a castor oil and argon oil mask. 3 parts castor, 1 part argon. Coat the hair, massage it in rreally good, comb it through, and put a shower cap. I try to leave it on for at least an hour if I can. Takes two washings to get it out. But it’s supposed to stimulate hair growth. I feel it’s helped but it also makes my hair feel super soft and clean. Whatever you do- don’t use minoxidil (rogaine)- it will work but if you stop it will fall out and worse from what I’m told. There is also a shampoo that is supposed to help also called nyoxin.

Mine is legitimately thinning - derm did a scalp biopsy and dxed me with androgenetic alopecia (diffuse thinning, no bald patches). It's not TOO bad (only really noticeable to me and my hair stylist), guess I caught it early. I've gotten a TON of new growth over the past few months from doing what I mention below (which is overkill, I admit), we're just waiting to see if it makes a difference when it's longer, or if it's coming in at the same rate I'm losing hair (although I don't shed much at all - I never noticed a lot of fall-out, just realized it's not THERE anymore, if that makes sense).
I'm taking spironolactone and tons of vitamin D (currently 5000 IU/day at derm's rec). Also taking a good daily vitamin, and occasionally biotin (hair/skin/nails vits, but they make my skin break out if i take a lot), and I add collagen peptides to my coffee.
I'm washing w/ Pura'dor shampoo and Nioxin conditioner (occasionally also Nioxin scalp foam treatment), doing daily scalp massages in the shower, and using Head & Shoulders a few times a week to remove buildup/sebum from scalp.
Good luck - it's an awful feeling to notice hair loss!
ETA: We first did lots of blood workup to check thyroid, zinc levels, testosterone, etc. Those were all fine. I also have an autoimmune (Crohn's) that can cause malabsorption and i was off meds for a long time, so the combo of going back on my meds plus a daily vitamin is probably helping too.
