I know it's been discussed ad nauseam, but humor me since now I have a kindergartener.
What do you do for the teachers at the end of the year?
Anything for say, the bus driver?

The class mom is collecting 10.00 per child - but TBH I am not sure what will be purchased. I am v lazy so I like this method of teacher gift buying.
DD isn't a bus rider this year, but last year she was and we did 10.00 Dunkin gift cards for the bus driver and the bus aide.

We do a $ collection and give the teachers gift cards, plus the school has a general collection for classroom aides. So much better for a) lazy parents like me, and b) teachers not getting 5,000 #1 teacher coffee mugs.

I was just talking to DS about getting something for his teacher and he wants to get her flowers and lemonade. I told him the flowers were a great idea and maybe a target gift card.
I should add that I don't always do year end gifts, but I love this teacher so much and she loves my kid so much.

We give a nice bar of chocolate tied with a pretty ribbon to some staff (bus driver, nurse, specials teachers like music, PE, art, library). For classroom staff we bundle the chocolate bar with a Target gift card.

As room Mom I sent everyone a “all about my teacher “ sheet similar to what you get for mother’s Day with like “ms D likes when ____” I’m putting them all in a binder as a gift.
From us we’re giving a book store gc

My kids’ teachers get Target gift cards at Christmas and Amazon at the end of the year, unless I know something more specific they would appreciate (the preK teacher DS2 will have next year loves a certain restaurant so I may do that for her instead). I have my kiddos write thank you letters (now DS1 is older he makes them little books about what he loved about their class).
The grade level team is also trying to raise funds to have a project funded through our local educational foundation so I will likely also do a donation in honor of DS1’s teacher.

GDI I wish they did a class collection. That would be so easy.
I like the idea of having DS write a thank you to his teacher with a gc.
Thanks!

I did a mug 😂😂 (I’m a teacher and I love all the cheesy mugs!) and a wooden sign for her classroom.
Still trying to figure out what to do for his bus driver. I have a kindergartener too.
