This may be the most passive aggressive thing I've ever read here. No, passive aggressive is talking shit about the lazy thank you card. Yeah, I don't see how address it directly with the person is passive aggressive?

(1) I don't do thank you cards. I do thank in person and/or via text the same day or within 24 hours. I am still better than the person who sent a blank card because what the fuck is that move? (2) Bloody housecleaner sex is an anomaly. Don't let this fear prevent you from one of the great joys of life -- having somebody else clean for you. (3) Roseanne is and always has been a horrible person. Good fucking riddance. (4) TV crew jobs are always extremely volatile in nature, and such folks are used to seasonal unemployment. (5) Losing a job, nevertheless, is always difficult, and I have immense sympathy for anyone who loses a job. It's the pits. (6) None of these statements is actually an unpopular opinion, but I feel accomplished for having read this far.

If you're unhappy or hurt by what your spouse doesn't do for a special day but you don't say anything nothing will change.
I do think some people will bitch about what their spouse does no matter what they do

No, passive aggressive is talking shit about the lazy thank you card. Yeah, you can argue over terminology, but you're the on in the wrong here. This is kind of extra. I mean if the people in her life want to address it they can. They can stop fucking with her, curse her ass out, discuss it. I really don't see how there is a "in the wrong" here when it is all subjective. Her rating of the thank you, the feeling of receiving your card back etc. It's all subjective.

Also fuck Jimmy Kimmel. He’s trash for defending Roseanne. Well, I used to like Jimmy Kimmel. He’s canceled in my mind.

I want to get H a decent Father's Day gift in a passive aggressive way of telling him he screwed up by doing nothing for Mother's Day My sister did this and my BIL did not get the message, FWIW. even if he doesn't get it, I will be able to bask in my smugness for a good 10 months. and then when mother's day approaches i can be all "remember what I did for you for Father's Day? I want something like that please and thank you"

Why is that? Some people remember high school fondly. That’s fine but they never post a picture of just themselves. Then they tag everyone in it. I don’t have necessarily bad feelings about HS but I don’t want a public pic of me at my most awkward shared on FB without my consent. Go to your FB settings and don't allow shit to get posted to your timeline without your approval so that way if you are tagged into something no one on your profile will see it.

I'm guessing based on the Father's Day gift thread that this is unpopular but I don't think big gifts for Mother's Day and Father's Day from spouses are necessary. There are birthdays and Christmases and wedding anniversaries and Valentines Days already. Obviously I don't care one bit what you do for your partners, I just don't want to buy a gift for my H in addition to a gift for my actual father. Maybe I'm heartless. I don't buy Father's Day gifts as MH is not my father. The end.

I generally agree with you. But my kids are the right age to be into getting H a Father's day present and I am actually buying things I want myself. Smoked meats and whiskey. All I see are positives. Kids happy, H happy, me full and half drunk. Yea, I don't mean helping your kids buy presents for dad until they are old enough to actually buy stuff themselves. But you know, like a diamond necklace or whatever, seems over the top. But again, I don't care what other people do, I just don't want to get into that habit myself. I also never did this because guess what...he would know it was a gift from me and the kids not involved so waste of time and sentiment.

I am clutching all my pearls about the story Chris Pratt shared of his 5 yr old son calling a fish a "fucking pussy" because Chris lets him curse while they are fishing together. I am all kinds of at the word pussy being in a 5 yr olds vocabulary. I'm unsurprised given the other stories we've heard. Sigh. I have a PHD in cursing and fucking would cause me more pause than pussy.

I think you might be better off being more specific about what you want him to do for you and/or temper your expectations.

I am basically the chauffer and cook at this point.
I don't wipe asses, clean rooms, laundry, hair, etc.

I would totally forget 10 months later My H likes to think he remembers, but he really doesn't. He will say something like "But I got you that massage certificate for Christmas!" and I'll be like um, no that was for my birthday. Or he will say "You still owe me from my birthday last year!" and I'm like ugh, no I got you the beard oil kit...jackass.

I have seen it posted too. Did you see Roseanne re-tweeted the fake pic and Whoopi was pissed and went off. Ha- no, I don’t blame her. Gotta love using a fake pic or lets just say it was real - someone else’s actions to justify your shitty behavior. I have never paid attention to Rosanne and have zero interest in her show so I am just learning the type of person she is.

I'm still in the ass wiping stage. My oldest is almost to the cook/chauffer stage so I'm looking forward to that

The worst food poisoning I ever got was from a Greek salad. I ended up in the hospital. And I can totally tell the difference between food poisoning and a virus. Different type of puking for me.
