vino DS1's best friend spends every summer in Serbia and they bring us ketchup fries. They are like chips that are skinny like fries. I bet they taste the same.

Nail biter moms - they have nail biting nail polish!!! I'm priming the hell out of that. I cannot handle this habit, I don't even like holding his germy little hands lately. I ask him if he chewed them and he says "I tried but it didn't work.." bc there is NOTHING to chew. Fingers crossed this does the trick. Is it Nail Biter? I use it. It tastes awful, like really bad. I have to brush my teeth or immediately eat something with a strong flavour to get the taste out of my mouth. Before you use it on him, try it yourself. So you are saying there's a chance? (Jk J's teacher said another kid used one and it works..I am going to ask her mom which one she used, seems to be lots of options)

I don't like ketchup, so the chips don't sound great but I'd probably still eat them. I mean, chips. Same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, turns out I was right to be nervous about Sinny's labs.
He has CKD.
We're so upset over this. I know it happens to every cat as they age but I wasn't ready for this.

Peach, it's not a personal attack on you. I have seen people giving you advice since you decided to train last weekend and a number of times, you said why it won't work for you. The kids who PT in 4 minutes and never have an accident again are unicorns, but you can definitely make the process easier on yourself in a lot of ways. Nobody is saying you failed your kid. They're giving you advice to work smarter, not harder. I felt like I failed him. And the piling on just drove that home. I was critized for saying I was going to wait and that I needed to push it, but also for not being breezy enough about it. Told that I need to keep going, be consistent but also you I'm now your kid. But now you're just turning down all advice. I'm not the only one that saw all the mixed messages, right?

Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk No I think that's a good idea since he has a.. difficult personality. I'm going to see if my library has it.

peachsmama potty training is not something where you're going to fail your kid, I have yet to meet any adult who suffers the effects of poor potty training. Yes, everyone has different advice because everyone has different kids. You need to find what works for you. That being said, you are on a timeline so hoping something just clicks may not be the best idea. If you want to have him trained in time for school, it will probably benefit you to find a method that works with your lifestyle and stick with it.

But now you're just turning down all advice. I'm not the only one that saw all the mixed messages, right? I think you're getting multiple messages because people are trying to help, and none of us have the exact same experience with PT -- people are trying to give feedback on what worked for them. Certainly, some of us were more forceful with suggestions than others, but I don't think anyone is suggesting you failed him. Whether with PTing or some other aspect of parenting, we have all been in a place where we feel like we failed. So it didn't work out this time -- I stand by my advice to take a week, talk up the potty like it's the best thing since chocolate, and then jump back in (for good). He isn't going to go off to college in diapers, I promise!

This is how all the advice works here, everyone tells their piece and you just hope that with all the info you can make a plan, but instead you're playing victim as if we were ganging up on you and sending mixed messages that in turn you said that you felt you failed him. I just went back and looked, it wasn't until you posted 'fuck' to having to have him PT in 6 weeks, that's why the suggestion ls starting coming in. The post before said that you were in a mood with yourself. Everyone is just trying to help, that's all.

I saw the worst case of helicopter parenting ever today at the park. This lady was following her three year old around the play structures like a crazy person with her newborn. She was all like "be careful this and don't do that". There were no other children there, I wanted to tell this lady to chill the fuck out.

Hi I'm back from my appointment. No news. I'm annoyed, this is a new ob and apparently the first appointment is just blood work and going over your paperwork/history. I didn't even see the doctor. I go back tomorrow at 10:30 to see the doctor and get an ultrasound. And dh took the afternoon off to come with me to this one, and now I have To go alone tomorrow with two kids. Sorry for the unhelpful appt. the way my doctors office runs it is you meet with a nurse educator and NP at like 6 weeks, and they will do an early us then. At 12 weeks you actually see the OB. It's too bad they didn't tell you how it works so you could have planned appropriately. That would make me mad too.

Well, turns out I was right to be nervous about Sinny's labs. He has CKD. We're so upset over this. I know it happens to every cat as they age but I wasn't ready for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Max has been in renal failure for six years. His values have been. Stable for five. Do you know Sinnys BUN, creatinine, and USPGR? I'd be curious to know what those are. The good news with CKD or CRF (chronic renal failure) is they are able to be stabilized. Max even went into remission for a bit. . If you're on top of it profession can be staved off for a long time. Since Max is in renal failure we do give fluids subcutaneously to help hydrate him. But we didn't do that right away. To start it was a simple switch of his diet. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. It's so hard to see them age and feel no control over it. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

I like how edgy we are today guys, it's bring me back to the good old days of our time together.
Do you all remember the in the days before cher was our mod and we had that annoying as fuck mod that like weirdly resigned because she was moving to Alaska. And then she was never heard from again...
I mean, don't they like have WiFi in Alaska? Was she eaten by a bear?
I also don't have the best memory so it's possible that didn't actually happen like I remember it.

Does anyone have any bubble toys they recommend? N loves blowing bubbles but he keeps breaking all the wands (cheap dollar store ones) and I'm just tired of having to go out and buy them all the time. I just bought one of these: www.amazon.com/dp/B00GQWKQMS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Ff0pzbT297GABAnd H figured it out pretty quickly. There are various sizes and the wands are a thicker plastic so I don't think they will break as quickly.

I'm sorry cagoldi, I'll be thinking of you guys and sweet Sinny. Do you guys have a follow up appointment to discuss the diagnosis? We're going to take him back next month for another BP reading. I guess right now we're pulling all dry food (which he never ate anyway but I liked to have some out for free feeding) and switching to a kidney diet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
