It will be for me at least. I'm hosting a breakfast for a new employee at work, then a training, then we have our last reading to the kids day, then paperwork with new employee, and then a ceremony for a newly retired judge. Hopefully the day flies by because this kid got up at 5 and I'm tired.

Ugh Z got up at 5 too. And O was crying and coughing last night until about midnight. I was in and out of his room checking on him because I was paranoid that he has secondary drowning or something. He's been swimming a lot lately and never only gets a cough, so my mind went crazy.

Morning. I'm up and trying to decide if I get dh up now and get to the airport early or risk that the traffic won't get any worse

Hi everyone. At work, drinking iced coffee and catching up on news/social media before buckling down. Wow wedding sounds like a packed day. It should fly by for ya.

Morning!
Poor B woke up with a snotty cough this morning and promptly coughed in C's face. Lovely. Hopefully this cold will be short-lived, we fly up to Maine on Sunday.
I need to get a move-on and order DH's Father's Day gift, but per usual I am indecisive and cannot choose b/n my 3 finalists.

Morning! Busy day with a whole lot of nothing, picking up dd's passport, groceries, cooking, cleaning, plus two kids with alternate nap times 😖. Meeting with our financial advisor this afternoon, ugh so boring, but hey it has to be done!
Dd actually had a decent night (02.30 and up at six, iso 11.30-02.30-05.30) but I'm making myself some coffee because I cannot keep my eyes open, 5.5 more hours till bedtime.
Have a good Monday ladies!

Re: Father's Day I don't have anything either. I'm probably going to make a trip out to the outlets and pick up some stuff from vv.

My dh is driving me nuts. I picked out clothes for LO and placed them on top of where we get the diapers/pull-ups and he picks out something else that doesn't match at all. Get it together dh. We are on a schedule.

It was a shit show. In more ways than one.. Basically, a miserable failure. We'll just try again in a few weeks.

Father's Day question: I just remembered that my husband told me he wanted a hammock . Does anyone have recommendations? Not the freestanding kind, but the old fashioned one that hangs between two trees.

guster does he want to take it with him when he goes on trips? Then you should look in to light weight ones. Great gift btw!

Dunkin in closed for remodeling. This Monday sucks! That is some bullshit. Yup. And I of course forgot so when co worker didn't text me that she got our coffee, I went to get it. About 5 cars pulled in at the same time as me and stopped at the "closed" sign and just sat there.

I ordered father's day gift over a month ago. I saw an ad on FB and ordered, it's a shirt for H that say's 'Daddy - 01' and a shirt for E that say's 'Daddy's Girl - 01.' I ordered them around May 15th and still haven't received them. After further investigation, they're coming from China. So it's taking forever and will probably be poorly sized. But since H didn't get me a Mother's Day gift, I'm not too worried.
So last Wednesday we were discussing wildlife...yeah, H came across a 4-5' black snake in our back yard last night. When he walked toward it, to get it to go under our fence and leave the yard, it CLIMBED UP EVIE'S SWINGSET LADDER TO GET TO THE PLATFORM she sits on to go down the slide. When he tried to use a rake to get it down to throw it over the fence, it started attacking the rake. We now have 1 less black snake in our neighborhood.
I mowed the yard yesterday morning. So when H showed it to me, I told him he was damn lucky that thing wasn't in the yard yesterday morning or I'd have abandoned the mower and stayed inside the rest of the summer!

We spent all afternoon Saturday at my dad's pool. I reapplied sunblock to E probably 3 or 4 times, way more than myself, but that isn't saying much.
Poor kid has sunburned shoulders. I feel terrible. And she won't let me apply aloe to it, even though I let her put it on me, H let her put it on him. Come on kid, it will help make it feel better!
Lesson learned to put block on way more than I think about it. At least it was only her shoulders, her face and scalp didn't get burned, so I must have forgot to apply to the shoulders in between.

I will go with the standard gift for mh for both father's day and his birthday, which is next week or the week after or something. Egift card for Top Golf, egift card for the Drafthouse. Done. Maybe for Father's Day this year I'll get him a giftcard to bowling so he and Cadence can go.

Oh no, Father's Day is in less than a week, isn't it? DH did such a great job with Mother's Day and all I've done so far is order a new faceplate for his phone charger. That's an annual gift, updated each year with new pics of the boys. It's a $15 gift so I've got some work to do!

Hang in there mamabear, the first month or so is a complete blur of wake ups, leaky boobs, trying to heal etc all while trying to make a new normal, give yourself some time. For me, it took a good 2-3 months before I felt I had a grip, otherwise I was just putting one foot in front of the other.

Father's day will consist of mh getting to choose what we do for the day. I'll probably one up him and get the kids to make him cards though. He has a baseball game with his dad, TBD if he wants to take J and/or me and N.
I need to plan something for my dad though maybe on Saturday. He's surprisingly stepped up in the past few months helping with my mom (especially considering they have been divorced for 25 years), so I want to make more effort this year.

Morning! guster I got dh a hammock last Christmas from amazon. I'll see if I can dig up which brand it was, but it was relatively inexpensive and works great! I'm sitting on our porch eating breakfast before I have to drive Lucas to school. I threw up twice last night and am feeling queasy this morning so I'm not looking forward to 45 minutes in the car. If I can pull it together I'm going to go to the gym and then o have my first dr app this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous. Obviously this was a huge surprise and the last month has basically been a laundry list of what not to do in preganancy. (Alcohol, sushi, hot tubs... just to name a few). I'm trying not to let my mind go there but if you could send some good vibes I'd appreciate it.
