Some people use snake skin to make jewelry... like a pattern overlay thing.

I braved Costco nearly 38 weeks pregnant. DD loves berries/fruit and they have the best price for cherries (her favorite!)

My boss addresses group emails "Guys" and I just realized it kind of bothers me. Better than the "gals" I hear at work.

Dyed my hair last night and for the love of god, I can never get away from goddamn stains around my hairline. I even put aquaphor there to try and deter! But no! Just a few more days and DS and I will go on our mother/son adventure. Should probably do laundry and figure out what I'm packing or something. Also, I'm 32 today. Meh. Vaseline works better for me than Aquaphor. And happy birthday!

Dumping this question in the randoms. My oldest has been invited to a friends house for a birthday thing on Friday from 5-7. The invite was emailed and said the boys can play and have pizza. The mom is super social and has invited us to a few things, but I don’t know her THAT well or anything.
I initially RSVP’d yes, but now things have changed and the soonest I could be to her house is probably 5:30ish, and I’d also have to bring along my youngest. Think I should just back out vs asking if I can show up late and with an extra kid?

My boss addresses group emails "Guys" and I just realized it kind of bothers me. Would you rather he address them as "Ladies and Gentlemen?" I address a lot of group emails as "hey guys," but my team is all men. lol. Alternatively I say "Hi y'all" or, perhaps, "hello everyone."

I usually address my staff in emails with whatever time of day it is: “morning!”, etc. Sometimes I use “folks”.

The OPs name is Jonny, and I have a theory that Rebecca is his wife.

Think I should just back out vs asking if I can show up late and with an extra kid? I would definitely check in with the mom. If I was the one throwing the party, I’d much rather have you come w/an extra kid than have one of my kid’s friends miss his birthday. Is it a party where parents are expected to stay?

I am listening to a training video for part of my new responsibilities and it's making my eyes cross.

theseaword I would ask. It doesn't hurt. We had a couple of similar requests for DS's party and it was NBD because it was at our home. I use "all" or "everyone" in office emails.

I stopped at a hmong grocery store on the way home from picking d1 up from school. We ate hmong egg rolls, mango, and tried vab nam for the first time. A nice hmong guy had to explain what it was to me, along with how to even order it, and then I let them all laugh at the white lady trying it for the first time. It was too sweet for me. Definitely asking for less sugar next time.

Fond memory.
