I’ve never had a formal planner but I write everything in my calendar (even after it happens). I am succumbing to the planner life. Tell me what one to get. Also I’m not flowery or cutesy, but I dig the stickers and such. Favorite brands? I am hoping to just order one with all the things. In my style. I favor pilot pens with the stick ball, but I can go rogue.

I don't decorate, and I need lots of space for each day because I use my planner as a to-do list, an appointment schedule, and a place to keep track of expenses & calories, as well as having sections for bank accounts and budgeting, and notes made in appointments or meetings. I love my ring-bound system for those reason. I use a combination of Day-Timer and Franklin Planner products in a Kikki K binder. It works for me.
My best advice is to decide what you want to keep track of in a planner. Do you need only an appointment schedule? Are you a to-do list maker? Do you need space for notes or journalling? The answers to what you want will direct you to a system. I love the ease of changing over months/years in my ring-bound system, because it means I don't have to re-write everything all the time. I can add or take out pages as I need to.
I use a mechanical pencil in my planner, but I like being able to erase. And after having a couple of pens leak/explode in my binder the pencil make me feel safer when travelling. Also, people are less likely to want to borrow (and not return) my pencils.

Thanks. I am a doodler... and list maker. I don't want a fancy one because its too intimidating to break in. Do you have week at a time? I like the space, but month at a time helps keep me on track. I have a strange day off pattern, and I lose too much perspective, if I cant see the whole month, I just lose time sorta, if that makes sense. Not really journaling or notes. Ill look at the binder you mentioned, I did Amazon, but was quickly overwhelmed by choices.

Look into Plum Paper. They have several layouts and can be customized. If you don't want to spend much at the start, check Michaels for their brand (Recollections) or Happy Planner. There are always sales and coupons.

I love my happy planner. I also have different days off, I like the month view and then I go into more detail on the week view

I like the Happy Planner. The price point (with coupon or sales) is right. I like stickers. I like being able to add and remove into my planner. I do leave a lot of white space because I do write a lot.

If you’re a doodler and list maker, have you looked into bullet journaling? I don’t have the time now but I loved bullet journaling. I also like ring planners. You can get an inexpensive one from Michael’s or TJ Maxx to try out. Annie Plans Printables has really nice inserts and you can customize your planner for what you need.

I have a couple of different planners and have used several. I used to do a bullet journal as my daily but with a newborn I haven’t had time. I have a plum planner that I really like but downside is I can’t tote it with me because of its size. So I keep a notepad for any brain dumps I have.
I bullet journal at work. I’ve gotten inserts from yellow paper house, sew much crafting and lime life paper. I prefer yellow paper house or sew much crafting. I don’t do fancy spreads but I like being able to customeize boxes with whatever mood I’m in.
I’ve used a happy planner at work before and I’m currently transitioning it to my budget planner.

I have a happy planner. It’s the first time I’ve used a planner. I like it but next year I’m going to scale it down a bit. I bought one of the big undated kits and it’s just too much for me. I like decorating though I suck at it. I’m thinking a mini might be more for me.
