For those of you who are exhausted this week, it wouldn't have to be this week. It could even be like a 4th of July up/ffc special or something.
The fact that it's dead over there is another reason on my why not list. We could gain a few new voices that's worth having and we're certainly capable of weeding out the ones who are assholes.

I feel like if this actually were a thing to happen, starting out with a UO or FFFC is like a recipe for disaster. Starting smaller would be wiser, but in the amount of lurking I've done, I don't think they like us very much.

It's not even that they don't like us, it just seems very "but why?" to me. It isn't like when there used to be site-wide FFFC/UO threads, where everyone already goes to the same site. They (or we) would have to register for new accounts just to participate, and I just don't see very many people doing that.
Plus you know half the thread would be 'who are you?'
