charliefox What was it about the timing of your trigger that you didn't like this cycle? I don't know much about all of this yet but hopefully it was better than you thought. Also I think the IVF makes total sense financially. Part of me wants to go straight there just because I figure it probably has a higher success rate. But I've also read some of the risks that can be associated with it which have me freaked out. If it weren't for our ages I'd say we'd just keep doing what we're doing until it works out. But age is the big factor for us right now. We don't really have the luxury of time:/ tl:dr Yes, the timing of the trigger/IUI has been "off" in some regard each cycle. IUI#1 I got a positive OPK so they had me trigger right away (which honestly was a total waste) and then did the IUI at the 24hr mark (which is all standard procedure)...but I O'd the next day so I feel the IUI was useless since washed sperm may not live as long IUI #2 I failed and didn't do OPKs as much as I should and I'm sure I missed my surge. We triggered and then I O'd the next day, but we did the IUI at the 36 hour mark so the egg was probably long gone. IUI #3 I had 15mm and 12mm follicles on Friday, the NP who does the u/s said that we would just trigger Sunday night since that would give them enough time to grow. I *could* have had another u/s on Sunday but it would have cost us more $$ so we just went without it. I'm kicking myself because I didn't have much going on that pointed towards being ready to O (cm, sex drive etc) so I don't think my body was ready when we triggered. Did the IUI at 36hrs again, and it does look like I O'd right on time but I question the follicle size/egg quality. That was long, anyway...I just don't feel great about it. Again, we have to meet our deductible either way so maybe we should keep going with the IUIs, they are just a huge PITA to get to all those doc appointments and have H skip work etc. Will definitely talk to our RE about our options if this cycle doesn't work out. And yes, IVF has a much higher success rate. For unexplained IF each regular cycle has like a 2-3% chance (vs 20% for a healthy couple), and IUIs are like 8-12% depending on drugs etc, while IVF is 50%. Soooooo....lol.

charliefox, I'd be frustrated too... and also inclined to go for IVF in your circumstances. CD1 arrived at 10.30pm, which at least is better than waking up to bloody sheets. 30 days is a long cycle for me. I'm feeling hopeful about this next cycle. L was conceived the month after H was away during my fw, and Gracie Wren was conceived the first month we started trying after L was born. So we have a good record for conceiving after "time off".

charliefox I would be tempted to do IVF as well and continue the IUIs. The appointments are such a pain. They are one of the main reasons we will not try IVF. I’m not even doing IUI and I am struggling to figure out how I’m going to fit all of the appointments in this summer.

So for me it is either 14 or 16dpo, and I had a neg frer at 12 or 14 dpo. (Ff is giving me the earlier o date, I feel it was 2 days later.) I have had brown spotting for a day, but no AF. I typically don't spot brown, and I usually begin AF soon after spotting, certainly sooner than a full day. So, who knows.
Eta, nevermind, CD1

charliefox That must be so frustrating. Sometimes the knowledge that comes with TTC is a curse. Maybe being blissfully ignorant would be better. But it sounds like at least the timing was good this cycle. So that's promising. I am hopeful that your follicle got to the size it needed to be by the time you triggered. I'm thinking it sounds promising! I didn't realize the odds for IVF were so much higher. It's definitely a route worth considering. But I'm hoping this cycle gets you (and a bunch of us) out of here so you don't even have to worry about making the choice.

Sorry for everyone who had CD1 today.
I hope we’re all out of here soon. It’s like a weird party where everyone is super nice but you’re just so tired & want to take your heels off & go to bed. Enjoying the company but hating where you are.

The nurse practitioner called me. I had my progesterone test results sent to her and the RE. RE said it was in the normal range and don't sweat it, but the NP wanted to prescribe me a progesterone supplement. She (NP) just left a message and called in the prescription, so I haven't heard yet if she agrees my number was fine but "it doesn't hurt to take it, so why not" camp or if she felt my number was borderline enough so why not.
Regardless, I now have progesterone supplements. Also, AF needs to get here or not because the suspense is killing me. How long can I spot for??? It's enough that it seems like AF, but then I'm like....is it? So maybe it is or is not cd1. I can't tell.

Well I caved and took a test. Then I wiped and, surprise! AF! I should’ve listened to my gut.
I kinda knew it wasn’t our cycle, but now we have to figure out what we’re going to do next.

Okay. So I’m 6DPO and I had some GI stuff this AM and now PMS-type cramps. Kindara thinks I’m getting my period on 5/30. Glow thinks 6/3. Ovia thinks 5/30. FF thinks 5/28. I think today/tomorrow.
I wish there was some way to bet on this.
