TTMA prenatal vitamins I am taking the rainbow lite complete one and I am gagging on it, this goes along with my new trick of throwing up that started on week 11... 🙃
What are you taking? I like the rainbow ones because they aren’t so constipating and I feel like I am taking enough for other things I don’t want to take more.
What do you like? What do you dislike?

I took the CVS brand prenatal gummies with DS and am taking them again this pregnancy. The only thing they are lacking is iron and I am okay with that. If I end up deficient I will just take a separate supplement. The gummies taste good and I have never had issues with them. Even better, they are inexpensive. I always stock up when CVS is doing BOGO.

I am taking the target up & up brand gummie prenatal. This is my first pregnancy taking these and they don’t make me sick like the others have. I do have to take an iron supplement in addition because I’m iron deficient, but I don’t think that has anything to do with my vitamin choice. I like that they are cheap and taste delicious.

We have my DDs third birthday party today (just family since I still feel like crap). She woke up this morning and asked if people were coming to give her lots more presents. Clearly I’m raising DD well 😂.
On an unrelated note I had a stupid dream about the NIPT test results last night and I woke up super early thinking about it. I hope we get the results soon so my brain can calm down, should be sometime this week.

We’re supposed to go to a birthday party for DD’s daycare friend today at a park. It’s drizzly and 50 out right now. Hope that clears up in the next hour!

I blacked out yesterday.. not sure if I didn’t eat enough, or if it was the heat, or both... but apparently I have to be very careful this summer. This happened with my son when we lived up North, but it was hypoglycemia. I really don’t think that’s it this time, or maybe I’ve just been snacking enough since I’m a SAHM now?
Either way, this climate is waaaay different and pretty brutal to switch to with a pregnancy. I’m in an outdoor wedding this coming weekend, and I’m really hoping I can keep things under control.

Yikes, that is scary!! It’s hot AF where I live and today was brutal. I’m scared for what summer will bring.

That is really terrifying. Just take care of yourself please. I was in an indoor wedding when seven months pregnant with my son and almost passed out at the alter due to wearing heels and the heat. Don’t make my mistake. Lol. I hope everything goes well and try to stay hydrated and sit as much as you need to.

I still need to buy shoes.. and get a haircut. This week is so busy that I’m a little overwhelmed.

I’m going back to work tomorrow, and I’m really nervous. I’ve been out for 5wks, and I only have 6ish wks before my contract ends, BUT SO MUCH TO DO. Plus, I’m still nauseated some (the Zofran helps a TON, but I have to eat every 1.5-2hrs or I get sick still). Gah! Why is being an adult so hard sometimes.

My last pregnancy I blacked out at Easter brunch - I was much further along, but I also got really light-headed pretty frequently. I've already noticed being kind of light-headed this go round too... I'm not sure if it's remnants of morning sickness, blood sugar being weird from pregnancy, or what. Last time my OB wasn't really concerned, and just said to keep snacks handy and stay hydrated. Either way, take care of yourself!

Also, is it just me, or are Mondays about one gazillion times worse while pregnant? The day hasn't even really started yet, but all I want to do is crawl back into bed! I need some of that second tri energy to come my way ASAP!

Either way, take care of yourself! It’s good you know what to watch out for! With my son I blacked out at Best Buy, couldn’t make it to a chair in time. Luckily H caught me so I just hit my knee. I think I was about as far along as I am now, maybe a little further. This time I started walking towards a chair, but realized it was happening too fast so I sat on the ground. Luckily I was with family and not alone with my toddler. Definitely need all the water and snacks at all times.

I thought the gummies weren't as good bc our bodies doesn't actually absorb them as well? Which might be why you don't get that sick feeling.
Not that I have any room to talk bc I hate my prenatal and the way it smells and the way it hurts my stomach so I skip a lot of days. Ugh.

I’ll have to do some research, but my doctor was the one to suggested them since I have a very hard time stomaching the pills. I know since my last pregnancy the gummies have started to include dha which may be why she suggested I could take them this time 🤷🏼♀️

Yeah my last OB was anti-gummies but I don't give a crap this time. I cannot handle being more sick than I already have been so I will eat my gummy vitamins and go about my damned day feeling somewhat normal.

I take the Nature's Bounty prenatal, which is a gel-cap and so not too hard to swallow, and doesn't seem to bother my stomach as long as I take it at night. I changed brands last time (I think it was to Nature Made?) and had bad diarrhea and so switched back.
My feeling on gummy vitamins is that if you can take the regular ones, they're better because they are more complete (Gummies don't contain iron, for example, because it can be toxic in high doses and kids can get into gummies and eat a whole bottle.) and gummies may not absorb as well. But if you can't stomach regular vitamins, gummies are at least something and you are getting benefits from them.

I hated the gummies. Haaaaaated. My taste buds are like NEWP. I was also anemic while pregnant and iron supplements made me ill and I eventually just stopped taking everything because it was all very frustrating (DD came out just fine). This time I’m sticking with regular prenatal vitamins that you swallow. As long as I eat first, they don’t bother me. I’ve had a much better relationship with vitamins this time around.

I feel like I'm dying. I have such a bad headache. I'm sure it's because of my neck/back issues, but all I want to do right now is go in a completely dark quiet room and curl up in a ball.

Trying to decide if we’ll do genetic screening and the nt scan. I’m currently paying off a $2,000 medical bill AND haven’t met my deductible yet. $800 was just added on for the two ultrasounds and blood work. I cried at my desk because DAMNIT AMERICA, you suck.

quijibo, holy crap, that's horrible. I'm so sorry that you have such a high deductible. I really hate our health care system. It shouldn't cost this much money to have a baby, or be healthy - it just shouldn't. Hugs girl.

If your plan year is calendar (Jan-Dec), then you're going to meet your deductible no matter what with the cost of the birth. So even if you're paying more of it now, you'll pay less for your later care/birth because of meeting your deductible sooner. Plans vary, but mine is a 6000 deductible and last time, whatever costs I had racked up prior to the birth lowered what the birth ended up costing in the end.
