I had half a beer and a raspberry rhubarb crisp with ice cream last night for dinner. It was heaven.

I'm thinking about getting myself one of those non alcoholic radlers for the next nice day, so I can sit out on my back porch and drink it. Also, likely doing pancakes for supper tonight, so no hate for your diets lol

I wanted to take a weekend trip to the lake house my parents have to celebrate my sisters's birthday, but she has so many friends coming that there is no room. But somehow I'm the only sibling not going. I'm the only one married with kids so I know we take up a lot more room so I didn't ask to come once I found out how many friends she had invited, but I'm still upset about it.
I know it's nothing personal, but I'm still feeling left out.

sammichcat that sucks. When you’re tired and emotional but wanting to get out and about, then you find out something like that, it’s a kick in the guts.

I noticed a little spot of blood on Morgan's onesie. Investigated and found his umbilical stump already almost off. It's a little..gooey l... looking and barely attached. It's 6 days old too early for this? I plan to call the pedi in the morning but I'm a little worried. Ella's came off at 11days. Anything I should do about it tonight? I feel like a newbie. Lol

Lol I don’t remember when DD’s fell off but it was on the early end and kind of gooey. I would just leave it alone and see what they say. DD’s dried out on its own fairly quickly.

lovealwaysalison, A2’s came off at 6 days & was gooey. Ped just had us clean the area with a dry, clean q-tip twice a day. It’s fine & dry now two weeks later.

Lol L’s fell off at 5 or 6 days and looked similar. They told me in the hospital that it would take about a week. It never hurts to call and ask, but I think it’s normal.

Just saw the chiropractor, now I’m waiting in a drive thru line for some fries because I didn’t bring a snack and I’m dying.

Thank you guys for making me feel better!
The stump fell off and I found it in his jammies MOTN. His belly button is a little red but doesn't look gooey anymore, just a normal ol belly button. He has a pedi appointment tomorrow morning so I'll have him look at it then just to make sure.

4-5cm dilated and medical induction scheduled for next Tuesday at 41w. Looked into tomorrow but they are too full. She stripped my membranes and now I’m cramping like woah. Some heavy spotting going on. I’m so nervous at this all getting very real

Busy day for deliveries here. I got the crib sheets that go with the mattress I got yesterday, and I also got my delivery of 6 more diapers that I had ordered. I really need my best friend to stop being sick so she can bring over the rest of the stuff she has at her house and I can get organized lol

lovealwaysalison you just reminded me that I accidentally pulled DS's umbilical stump off at 7 days. I felt like such a terrible mom. My friend that's a pediatrician just laughed at me when I called so upset 😂

I have been hooked up to pitocin since 9am PST, still only at 3cm but baby’s head is way down. Got the epidural, it is working, so I am very very happy. Trying to be patient and rest now !

I just heard from the hospital that one of L’s newborn tests (blood) was borderline so we need to run the test again. The nurse that I spoke to didn’t know which test specifically needed to be repeated, which was frustrating. We go to the ped tomorrow for his two week checkup so I’m hoping they have more info and can repeat the test for us.
I’m struggling a lot with my emotions and anxiety this week, and this news is not helping.

Hopefully it’s something routine like that. Hugs

Sorry your having a tough week budders I’ve decided to call my Dr tomorrow to discuss anxiety meds. My stress is causing me physical pain on top of emotional health. I’ve never taken anything before so I’m not sure what to expect

I’ve never taken anything before so I’m not sure what to expect That's good that you are reaching out, I hope that they find a solution that works for you. I'm not sure if I've just hit a hormone surge or if it's something more. The cashier at the grocery store asked me today how old L was, and then asked how I was doing, and I just burst into tears. I'm a crier in general, but it's very out of control the past few days.

budders was that the heel prick test? That happened to us with DD1. So stressful and I thought the worst but the testing is a screen so it picks up lots of borderline things and the testing process with putting blood on the card just didn’t work for DD1 cause she clotted too fast! I’m sure it’s fine, sympathies to you for the worry until you get the next lot of results x

Oh so it was the card? Shit. I’m still waiting for our results. Because we had the scare the first time I have a real thing about it. So I totally get where you’re coming from. Hugs.
