DS is officially to the entertain me stage. He is no longer content to lay on his mat or just play on the floor. What kinds of things are you doing with your little ones?

I'm so ready to get to the sitting up phase! I feel like once we hit that he will be less "bored" and maybe not require my constant attention.

Ug. We're at this stage as well. It's been an adjustment now that she's awake more and finally gets things. Everything still requires high participation on my part.
Dd is along for the ride on our toddler adventures to the library, parks, walks, and other fun trips like the arboretum today. Although she tends to sleep a lot for them because she's in the stroller or ergo. She does sit on my lap for Circle Time though.
I arrange the three of us so she's on my lap, ds by my side, and I'm holding a book/it's on the floor depending on the size so she can read with us.
She loves being on a blanket outside looking up at the leaves and listening to the wind chimes. She likes to grab at the grass. I sit her in the sandbox and she kicks her feet. I dip her feet in the water table when we're using that.
I put her on the floor with a bunch of her toys scattered about so she can roll and scoot towards them. Various rattles, crinkly baby paper, the oball, etc.
The freezer teething toy is a novelty that will entertain her for a few minutes.

Dd is a caboose so she's not ready for this and I can't remember when I started with ds. I would put a couple little splashes of water on a baking sheet and he would smack at it. Add an ice cube that they can bat around. We have big square and sphere ice molds so choking wasn't a concern.

Mylar balloons! With supervision obviously. Ds loved to crinkle it, bat it around when I held it down low, and watch it float around the room.

I always forget about setting them up with a mirror for a little distraction.

I do lots of reading she loves books. She also loved when I sing to her. I do hand movements to some of the songs too. I make her toys talk I give them different voices. Some speak in French which had her hysterically laughing on Wednesday. She is so close to sitting on her own.

We still don't do a whole ton. He's fascinated by any toy he can hold. He also watches his brother like a hawk.
Oh, and he just started screaming for fun 🙄🙄, need to figure out how to convince him that's not actually a fun game.

The other day the two of them screamed like velociraptors back and forth forever. They thought it was hilarious. It did result in dd's first real laugh but I don't want it to become a thing.

We do things like patty cake and itsy bitsy spider. She has a baby mirror and black and white contrast cards she looks at. I just got out more baby toys, like rattles, crinkly things, now that she's grabbing things.

Watch Springer.
I kid, I kid. We do kindermusik with DD1 (22 mo), go to the library/park, and go for walks a good bit. At home she's still content to lay on a blanket and watch big sister play while trying to scoot towards her. We spend a lot of time outside in the shade and she loves the fresh air! Lots of singing and clapping and nursery rhymes haha. When I nurse her DD1 will usually snuggle up to me with a few books and we'll read together. More clapping and singing. Good times!

We pretty much just piggyback off whatever the toddlers doing for now. She loves outside time as long as she toys to fidget with and also likes to be stood up next to the water table so she can splash. She just recently started being awake for music and movement class likes to hold shakers and scarves.

He likes when we go to novel places. He can just be held or worn when we go to church or watch my 3 year old at soccer practice. When he is home he requires more constant entertaining. He likes it when I put on shows for him i.e.- singing and dancing 💃🏻. He will sit in his high chair a bit and spin one of those toys that is suctioned onto the tray. He also has started to like the baby swing (the one outside attached to the tree)

Weekdays, we get home in the evening and I nurse her, and then one of us holds her while we eat. Then it's bed time. Exciting life for this one, I know.
On the weekends, when we're by the pool, we set her up in her RNP in the shade with a couple rattles or balls. When she gets fussy, we give her a frozen teether to gnaw on. When I feel like she might be too warm, we go inside and play in her jungle gym (aka floor mat).

B usually gets plunked down on a blanket/mat with a toy in whatever room I'm usually in with DD. Occasionally when I'm not toddler wrangling I'll sit behind him an let him sit/stand. Once he gets tired of that I usually hold him facing outwards while I go about my business.
If we're eating at the table he goes in his high chair (attached to the table) with a toy to play with.

Fs favorite thing is his jumperoo. Its so loud i gave to put a mat under hom so it doesnt disturb the ae8partment below.
He is able to sit up but not for long periods. I'll be put on tge toddlers gym mat too. He really lijes things that rattle and go in his mouth.

BUBBLES! Dd is swiveling her head back and forth watching them right now. neekoneeko thank you for the play scarf reminder! I took them out earlier. She flailed around with it for a bit before settling on gnawing it to death.

Lately we've been doing jumperoo, bumbo on the floor so she can watch brother, toys on the high chair tray and she also loves tummy time on the floor with the puppies (I call them puppies but they're two lazy 6yo dogs; one full blood pug and a pug/Boston terrier mix). The closest she has been to trying to army crawl was when she wanted to get closer to the pug yesterday

He is too busy trying to crawl right now to worry about being entertained 😂😂. But for real, we have a sit and stand piano thing that keeps him entertained.

C LOVES her exersaucer. Usually we get a solid 20 mins in it before she's ready to get out. She's also still entertained by her play mat and talks to the animals hanging from it incessantly.
ETA: and books. She loves Dr Seuss books right now. I think it's the colorful pictures and the rhythm of the words, but she really seems to enjoy them.

N still loves the playmat and the exersaucer for now. He'll sit and watch his sister forever, and right now she still loves playing with him. When he's bored of that, either my H or I will bounce him on our legs or make faces at him while he works on standing on our legs. Luckily he's a pretty chill baby so unless he's hungry or tired it doesn't take too much to keep him happy.
And holy crap with the sitting and crawling business! N is nowhere near either of those things! I'm glad he's still somewhat contained besides rolling around the living room.

Yeah the crawling is ridiculous. B scoots around like you wouldn't believe. He uses his legs to push his butt way up in the air then inches forward like a caterpillar. At daycare they said they've seen him go the length of the room.
My heart still skips a beat if I put him down on the floor on a mat and he's not where I left him when I look back.
I'm not ready for a mobile baby!!!

W is also really trying to figure out crawling. Rolling? He's only mildly interested in figuring out back to belly and rarely rolls belly to back but crawling? Apparently, he needs that. He's super into his jumparoo, too.

Having a toddler helps massively, he just wants to watch him play. Other than that we get out the house to play groups. Can't wait for the sitting up stage.
