So I have had shortness of breath today. I am kind of freaking out about this. Is this normal ever for pregnancy? Has anyone else had this happen to them. It feels like I can't take a full breath and I end up yawning to get more oxygen. I just called the RE and am waiting for a call back but was curious if others have had this happen.

I don’t have any advice but I’m glad you called. Better safe than sorry.

I haven't had trouble to the point where I felt like I was having a hard enough time getting oxygen, but I do get winded really easily at times during pregnancy - like walking upstairs has me feeling like I ran three miles. It kind of comes and goes (was more common a few weeks ago for me), and I remember the same feeling when I was pregnant with DS, mostly in first and third tri, so I just coupled it with general exhaustion. It's always better to call and be safe if you're really worried about something though.

Glad you called just to be safe. I definitely get winded more easily when even mildly exerting myself (stairs, bending over 800 times to pick up toys...), but it usually calms down after 5-10 minutes.

Yeah it’s really weird. I’ve had it before when I had mild ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome which the nurse said is a common side effect of that but I am too far past retrieval for it to be that. I am not out of breath or panting or anything just like every 10-20 minutes feel an urge to take a deep breath/yawn and have a hard timing doing it. Not related to activity which is the odd part. They weren’t too concerned tho so I am just resting and taking it easy. I have an US and appointment with the RE on Wednesday so I’ll ask more about it there I guess.

Shortness of breath and feeling like I can't get a really good deep breath is common for me. I brought it up with my doctor and she was not concerned.
