I haven't been around as much. I've been consumed with work. I've been trying to keep up and LT, though.
I was able to purge a bunch of stuff this weekend, which was good. I have a couple of rooms to hit still, but it's a start. My H also got a couple of projects I've been hoping for him to complete checked off the list.
MD was good. I was able to take my time getting ready and my H took us out to a MD brunch and they had a huge spread. Pretty sure my stomach grew twice it's normal size and I was uncomfortable for the rest of the day. But, I had to indulge. If not on MD, then when else, right?

Morning! I'm so tired this morning and definitely need a nap later. We had a nice day yesterday. We went to my favorite nursery and got so many flowers, afterwards we went out to dinner.
I think I felt my first BH last night. I don't recall having them with DS but my stomach just tightened and it was slightly painful. I hope I don't start getting them a lot.

Hi ladies! I was MIA last week because my phone died and I was busy at work and I had friends in town visiting, so I'll try to catch up a bit. Hope you're all well!

Good morning! I’m off to a rough start with dd. I’m hoping my Monday turns around though.
Friday was super productive at work, so I’m sure today has to be a good day at work.

I plan on being lazy today. My foot is still bothering me, the arch not where I cut it. I got a wrap thing for it and am hoping that will help.

Why is it a thing on cartoons to never show the adults face? I find it so annoying and weird.

It's definitely Monday.
Allergies are either kicking up or I'm getting a cold. It's hard to know which.
The physio tape on my belly is driving me nuts. I'm going to take it off tonight. The BH seemed to calm down with it, but I don't really know if that's why or not.
I'm so damn tired of people commenting on my belly and/or telling me I have a long way to go yet.
DS was so well behaved and sweet this weekend. He gave his great grandma kisses and told her "love you!"

Happy Monday ladies!
Is anyone taking anything for allergies?! Because I can’t handle these swollen itchy eyes and constant sneezing!
We had a nice Mother’s Day, but my real gift is the fact that my kids slept in until 8 am this morning and I had breakfast and coffee all by myself. Bring it, Monday!

The news says we will break heat records every day for the next week. We are moving above 100 degrees a month earlier than normal. Sounds like a fun summer to be super pregnant. I bit the bullet and ordered some yoga shorts to wear around the house so I don’t die in pants.
DD is at “school” today so I’m about to work on cleaning out my dresser. It is out of control.

I took benedryl at night a couple months ago and Allegra during the day. Thankfully, my allergies are gone now!

4 hours of sleep last night, about to head to this seminar, I really may not be able to keep my eyes open all afternoon. I am awful at traveling west because I’m a naturally early riser so I’m up at 3am PST for the day.

sugarkissed, I was also going to post for advice on allergies! Tree pollen just reached "very high" levels here and I can feel it. Over-the-counter antihistamines like Claritin/Zyrtec or Benadryl are supposedly safe in pregnancy. I find Claritin etc. to be really ineffective for me though, and I get paradoxical reactions to Benadryl so I can't take it. The symptoms bother me mostly at night, especially because I've been sleeping like crap to begin with, so I was thinking of getting a HEPA filter for our bedroom.

I've been taking children's Zyrtec (so I can share with DS) and it's been amazing. Clarifying does nothing for me too and Benedryl knocks me out cold and leaves me foggy the next day.

Is anyone else just exhausted? I started taking iron last week thinking I was anemic but I’m just constantly worn out and unmotivated!

I joined my 3 and 4 year olds at the care center today to celebrate national nursing home week. We did a balloon release, they had farm animals (chickens, duck, goat, bunny, and pony), and played with bubbles. There went two hours of my day. Of course I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures. I hope the daycare will post a couple pictures of my kids on their FB page.
Tonight they have their dance recital. They are both super excited so I hope they don't get nervous and we actually get to see what they've learned. Either way we'll celebrate with cupcakes afterwards.

Took today off so I could spend the whole weekend with my mom and sister in Charleston. It’s been a good weekend! Don’t want to have to drive back (it’s about a 4 hour drive home), but excited to get home to DH and our dogs.

Thoughts on a 5 hour car ride at 32 weeks? I’m 27 now and tired and uncomfortable but can’t remember how I felt at 32 with DD. DH wants to go to a golf tournament and wants us to go along so we can see his parents. I’m dreading it because of the bed/car situation plus we will see his parents two other times in June so doesn’t feel like a necessity but trying to think it all through.

I'm doing a 4 hours each way trip this weekend at 29, and I think it will be fine, since one of the other passengers is my kid who will have to pee at least as often as I do. We're also going to a destination with a hospital equivalent to the one I deliver at, worst case scenario. I think I'll just be uncomfortable in the car, but I'm uncomfortable most places!

I did a 5.5 hour car trip at about 32 weeks with my second. I rode in the backseat and I don't remember being uncomfortable. I did ok it with the doc before I went but I wasn't high risk for anything so he was fine with it.

How long do yours last? They vary but usually 30 seconds- a minute. If I even remotely have to pee, I’ll start getting them.

I spent mother’s day evening googling hantavirus because I found mouse droppings in the bottom shelf of my grill after the fact. We preheated the grill to 500 and scrubbed the grill part down with aluminum foil so I’m not so concerned about the cooking section as much as the gas shutoff that I touched, then promptly ate and served food without washing my hands. The chances are so extremely small that the mouse has the virus, the poop was fresh enough for the virus to be active and the part touched had waste on it, but tell that to a hormonal mama at 11pm, convinced she poisoned her toddler. Oh and also my husbands solution for cleaning it was to blow it off...which potentially blew the particles back in his face. Th virus has an incubation period of 1-8 weeks, so keeping my irrational anxiety in check for the next two months will be fun!

pickles, I understand why you are worried, BUT you are right that the chances that this is an issue are so small. I hope you are able to put it out of your mind soon.

I use a netipot every few days and take a low dose antihistamine every morning. My main allergy symptoms are nasal congestion and sneezing.
