Or it could evolve into a human flesh eating thing that can't be contained because it EATS ITS PLASTIC CONTAINMENT SYSTEM Thank you. I'm all for finding ways to deal with how trashy humans are, but let's find out what the side effects of this thing are before tossing it on the grabage patch in the Pacific, please. We tried to understand how it ate plastic. We still don’t, but now it eats 20% faster!

I was there! And drenched lol Honestly, I would be so relieved if they postponed the meeting. We were in the ER all night with another asthma attack (he's fine now). I'm exhausted. <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.07999999999993px; height: 2.9200000000000017px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_68733661" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1731px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_90397510" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82376233" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1731px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_92309987" scrolling="no"></iframe> Did you end up making the meeting? Or it could evolve into a human flesh eating thing that can't be contained because it EATS ITS PLASTIC CONTAINMENT SYSTEM I've been listening to X-files on audiobook (narrated by Jillian and David, with production sounds, it's kind of strange) and my mind goes there a lot these days. There was a large, unidentified animal poop at my work and my first thought was that it was absolutely from some type of humanoid species that is currently wandering the lab. I mean who knows what secrets they have here?!?!

Nikki Haley is speaking at the emergency UN meeting re: Gaza. The US opening its embassy had 'zero bearing' on whats happening today. Its ALL Hamas. We're completely blameless and our embassy has no bearing on the boundaries of Israel and Jerusalem. Israel is acting with restraint...

Moving the embassy is the 'will of the American people'
I would bet 95873904572395487398475923745937459 internet dollars 60% of americans living in america couldnt tell you WHERE the previous embassy was before this year/yesterday.

We did not need to move our embassy. It was unnecessary and this was all tragically predictable. Bibi and the Trump administration have blood on their hands. So many killed and wounded yesterday. 😡

Yeah... ok This sounds like every defense of anything that's happened during the Trump administration. "It's not our fault. It's totally Hillary/Democrats/Obama/lone wolves/illegal aliens/Hamas/ISIS/unicorns etc. Go America."

Regarding “trying to understand” Trump voters, I think people are over analyzing. The ones I know (who are neither coal miner or uneducated) simply would not consider voting Democrat, especially not Hillary, and at various levels agreed with Trump’s message. Most only follow Fox, have no real idea what is happening in a global sense, and honesty I don’t think they really care - “America First” and all that.
I have really struggled trying to figure out how and why, some of these people I had previously respected and honestly that has been lost. I came to realize their values are just different than my own. They buy into the “us -vs - them” that the GOP has sold and see themselves as victims. Their idea of a better world is not the same as mine. Not really sure there is a way to “win” them back.

Add me to the growing list of SO TIRED of trying to understand Trump voters. I got off that train.
Honestly, I just cannot take people seriously who take that much pleasure in voting for measures and people that they know will piss of Democrats - and the amount of bragging they do about it. It's strange, misguided, and makes me question your integrity on the issues, especially when people's livelihoods are at stake. It's us vs. them and I am tired of that.
This current Republican Party is a fucking sham, years in the making, and I look forward to helping burn it all down.

So, i'm in PA and registered Independent, so can't vote in primaries. I selected it in a rush when we moved here almost a couple years ago, because I used to be a Republican when I was a young and dumb brainwashed child of Fox News-loving parents. I want to switch to Democrat, but am wondering if I should do Republican instead to be able to vote in their primaries? The thought of identifying in any way as a R makes me want to die a bit but if it would have some benefit in voting against the worst R candidates then I could deal. What say you, politics board?
I meant to do this over the winter so it was done by the time the primaries rolled around but life happened and I just never got to it, which I'm so pissed about now.

milano I'm planning on getting a Republican ballot in our primaries to vote against Mark Sanford. But we don't register as one or the other in SC.

I once was registered as a Republican for this exact same reason. Now we have open primaries. I don’t love asking for a GOP ballot but I consider it for the greater good.

They closed our primaries during 2012 in reaction to Obama and not letting any registered R vote for him. I am currently unregistered and I'm not sure what I should do tonight. On one hand we have 2 candidates running on the dem side, neither are horrible and then we have 3 running on the GOP side. 2 of which ARE heinous. Brad Little's campaign is run by Vicki Risch, wife to the bridge troll, and then there is Labrador, the third would almost be a dem. and they are running attack ads against him saying 'he didn't even vote for 45' which is a plus imo. So do i register gop just to vote AGAINST the other 2, knowing that come november I can choose the dem? And plus then I see every single other candidate running (for state stuff) Or do I stay unregistered to vote the generic non-gop ballot with like 2 people on it.

They are to stubborn to want to learn actual facts and when you present them with facts they get loud and want to know where they come from and if they dont' believe it or it isn't Fox News then it is clearly fake news. People are to pigheaded or stubborn to not want to learn and change because pride is more important. When people start trying to tell me their views I give them attention but the second they say things about "deep state" or "god" or "jesus" they lose all credibility and sense of logic to me. Clearly fantasy is more slated to their speed. I feel as though I should carry Lord of the Rings books around with me to hand out to people because based on their logic they would understand it more than real life and it aligns to their views.

jkjacq, I’ve often voted in the republican primary, although I’ve never had to register republican to do so. When I lived in a very red state it was he only way I felt my vote counted. I did it last year in a state election because I was ok with either democrat and one of the republican candidates was unacceptable to me, and I didn’t want him to get the nomination. I used to think the crazy extreme candidates wouldn’t win in a general election; but I don’t have that faith anymore. I don’t know your particular election, but I’d vote wherever you think your vote means the most.

SK & NK are suspending talks NK is 'warning' the US because of 'provocative' drills over SK. They could back out of the summit if we don't "carefully consider" what we are doing.

Here is the blurb CNN is running with regards to the gov race here: HOUSE GOP CURSE: Last Tuesday, three House Republicans lost in Republican primaries for higher office -- Luke Messer and Todd Rokita in Indiana, and Evan Jenkins in West Virginia. (Jim Renacci won his primary for Ohio Senate, but failed to crack 50% against relatively weak competition.) Rep. Raul Labrador is the next Republican congressman up for a promotion, and he is in a tough race against Lt. Gov. Brad Little and businessman Tommy Alquist. Labrador was a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, but should Idaho Republican voters reject him, it will be another sign of how difficult running with Washington experience is for any Republican member of Congress this year.
Labrador will not get the nomination for governor. Brad Little has a decade of being Lt. Gov and Tommy Alquist is pretty well liked and a MAJOR developer in Idaho.

We have a teacher rally tomorrow-not a strike since it's tomorrow only. A third of the schools in our state are closed because so many teachers were willing to take a personal day, which costs us $50. Once they realized there weren't enough subs, they had no choice. They're expecting between 10 and 15 thousand people!
H and I are going, though I don't know that we'll be able to stay too long because I'm 30.5 weeks pregnant. Hopefully it catches the attention of all those Rs who are in control of our government because of the ridiculous amount of gerrymandering. I'm proud of the fact that the news has given decent coverage to the fact that teacher pay is only one of the reasons for this and that we are also doing it for our kids.

Here’s something that never happens in primaries here. Precincts are running out of ballots due to high turnout.
For anyone interested I registered Democratic. Because they had more women on the ballot. In some cases they were the only dem candidate

Trump picks McConnells brother -in-law to head pension agency. I mean, what are any of the qualifications for most of his picks? But I'm guessing this one is a favor for Mitch to keep him inline.
