Pretty sure the entire reason why the GOP defends this is b/c they're trying to figure out how they can shoot immigrants and protesters and get away with it. Finally someone else said it before I did. I am thinking the exact same thing.

So I was wondering if I could get some feedback on this article: It's Not Our Job to Understand 'Trump Voters'Essentially the author is going after the white male rural family man because of the current narrative brought out by Trump. Essentially the narrative is that you should feel bad for Trump voters other wise known as coal workers and farmers because they are unicorns because they are having a hard time and they have white entitlement because the industry did them wrong and politics forgets about them. Now as I white male myself I can agree to this at some point. I am tried of hearing I have to feel bad for coal workers because they lost their job and are having hard time. Don't get me wrong I feel bad for them but this happened naturally with automation and progress in equipment (you know like dump trucks and front end loaders). We don't need 10000 people working under ground with shovels and pick axes anymore. And they continue to argue that they are stuck in a limbo yet when you see an interview with these people they just sit in their house and watch TV. Many have families and I have seen numerous accounts of people getting help with going back to school and retraining to do other work. I agree they are having a hard time but the entitlement pity party has to stop and they have to get up and do something to fix their situation even if they are getting the retraining help. Believing Jesus will help is and never should be the answer. The article goes further into describing how the rural white protestant man's inherit racism prevents him from wanting to share progress and those in the way (i.e. others not them) need to be removed so they can live in their perfect bubble. I agree with a lot of this article but at some points it gets predatory and I think it crosses a line of going to far reach a balance of inclusion.

notblanche JukEboX yeah I am SUPER excited about him. I was torn between him and Rachel Reddick for a while, but unfortunately she had some controversy surrounding her. She was registered as a Republican for a long time (which is fine, I take no issue with that) but she lied about it. When it became public record, she blamed a "clerical" error. Annnnnnd she didn't vote in a few pretty important elections. She was in the Navy, but didn't vote via absentee ballot. I think she means well and can do the job, but I can't get past the experience Scott has and I just think we need more people like him in Congress. I think she still has a bright future ahead of her and should get more involved in local politics first and get more experience under her belt.

My only thought would be did anyone do a background on him. Like he could be totally cool and then after he is elected you find out he touched or said something to someone inappropriately and he is now tainted and your stuck with him.

Further evidence Eric Greitens is a POS: His defense team named the prosecuting attorney as a possible defense witness, meaning she can no longer prosecute the case. The charges have been dropped as a result (and her office has announced they will be refiled with another prosecuting attorney. His spin is to claim that the false charges against him have been dropped and he’s come through this ordeal a changed and better man. Dude no. State legislature is still convening a special session to discuss his impeachment and from the news articles I’ve read there seems to be bipartisan support for this. I will smile when it happens- this guy needs to be gone. www.cnn.com/2018/05/14/politics/eric-greitens-charge-dropped/index.html^I’m also annoyed that this news has been reframed as just charges being dropped.

JukEboX I'll have to read the article later, but I'll admit, I am just about done with all of the "trying to understand" articles that have been published about 45 voters in the last two years. Why do they never try to understand why someone voted for HRC? Why do they get a free pass to be stubborn and refusing to try compromise? Why does it always have to be us? And I know the answers, but it's exhausting.

And I know the answers, but it's exhausting. To me, they don't go into why someone voted for Hilary simply because the person writing it voted for HRC. They are the bias of the article believing that voting for HRC or Bernie was the right thing to do so there is nothing wrong with them or their thinking. Either way to meet it just leads to and understanding that 45 voters are to far gone and can't be saved.

I'm all for finding ways to deal with how trashy humans are, but let's find out what the side effects of this thing are before tossing it on the grabage patch in the Pacific, please.

Honestly, I would be so relieved if they postponed the meeting. We were in the ER all night with another asthma attack (he's fine now). I'm exhausted. <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.07999999999993px; height: 2.9200000000000017px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_68733661" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1731px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_90397510" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82376233" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="36.07999999999993" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 36.08px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1731px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_92309987" scrolling="no"></iframe> Did you end up making the meeting?
