Nope. H is deployed so I’ll be treating myself lol. DD was born a week before mother’s day so it’s always been fun but idk what we will do this year. We have a busy weekend so idk if we will do anything Sunday.

We’ve started some traditions over the last few years. Throughout the weekend I go to the greenhouse with my mom to get our backyards spruced up for the summer (doing that Friday evening), my little family heads up to the city for a zoo day (doing that Saturday, and with my sister this year) and we spend some time at the farm with my parents and Grandma (Sunday). So it should be good!

I want to get a pedi ALONE this weekend at some point. And I want to take DD1 strawberry picking for the first time. Other than that, no real plans. It's supposed to be warm so hopefully we can grill out this weekend.

It's supposed to be warm so hopefully we can grill out this weekend. This is what I did the first year after DS1 was born. He refused bottles so I had barely been away from him. It was lovely. I am going to a conference for work and bringing the whole family so we probably won't do anything super special. |

I told H all I want for Mother’s Day is to sleep. Same thing I said for Christmas, Valentine’s Day and my birthday. Easy to please!
My friends and I are treating ourselves to a spa day on Saturday as our gift to ourselves for all the mothering. Champagne is involved.
My in laws are visiting and staying with us this weekend too. At first I was annoyed but when I’m in my 70s, I want to be welcomed by my boys’ spouses and to see my grandkids so I’m not going to make it hard for my MIL.

We were supposed to go to a lilac festival with my brother and parents out where my brother lives. Now that we have the funeral on Saturday my brother is going to be at my parents so I have no idea what we will do. I just want to enjoy it since I go back to work Wednesday.

I would like to pick up some garden stuff at Home Depot and plant them.
DH is going to make dinner- that should be interesting since he rarely cooks.
I am going to make the dessert - a recipe I have been wanting to make for a long time.

I am still bitter about my first Mother's Day.
DD, DH and I went to Chicago for the weekend. On Mother's Day, the first person to say Happy Mother's Day was the waiter at breakfast. My husband completely forgot it was Mother's Day.
I know...i am unreasonable about this!

DD2 has a soccer game. And we’ll probably go to church. Other than that, there are no real concrete plans I’m aware of.

I’m going to my dads house to spend the day with my stepmom. My grandmother will be there too. It will just be dinner and dessert.

I will be at my moms lake house with her and the kids. By choice! I love it there & just wish her husband wouldn’t be.
I’ll be home by dinner time so H better have a card or something.

Wev have a big family brunch with my side of the family every year on Sunday. Saturday, we are going to go out to lunch and shopping with my parents and then DH and I will spend the evening with DS.
Last year Mother's Day was my first day of IVF shots, so this year feels sooo special!!

We are having brunch with my parents, grandmother and aunt, and my sisters and their husband/wife. I love brunch. I need to save my weight watchers points 😬
