I know sammysam is usually our girl to start these, but I figured I would jump on it this week.
I'm on official day 2 of the 21 day fix and my body is SO sore. There are muscles that hurt that I forgot I even had! I'm doing well on the eating plan and I think my body is getting used to the volume of food. I'm not really a snacker during the day but I think I might have to do an afternoon one just to make sure I get the food I need. It'll be a little hard to do the snacking just because I have invisalign and that would mean I would have to brush my teeth 6x a day instead of 3 and I just don't know if I want to do that. lol
How is everyone doing?
What are your goals this week?

remi Thank you! I totally dropped the ball on this thread this week. I have been crazy busy with DELF examinations and stuck in an area with no WiFi during the day. Gah! I'm not doing well at all this week. I barely have time to breathe. I was doing well last week but with the examinations plus catching up on all the work I've left for my classes while away I think this week is going to be a disaster. Plus my scale died yesterday. It is like 20 years old...but I hate having to find a new scale. I'm doing my best with food this week but I feel like I'm sliding backwards. When not TTC I have no problem with weight etc. I've been the same weight since middle school (I stopped growing early) but these extra 15 lbs are killing me. And I feel like it's increasing daily.

I was just thinking about this! Thanks for starting remi! I'm doing okay. My diet has much improved over the last week and a half and I feel really good about it, got to keep that going! The warm weather is a real motivator in terms of eating well and exercising so that's been nice. Today I bought 800lbs of sand for DS's sandbox and between loading it and unloading it I lifted 2400 lbs! Not bad I'm just about to go to day 58 of yoga. I reeeeaaally need to make a new playlist so I have yoga to do come Friday once I've finished 60 days!

remi, how do you like the invisalign? H is DYING to do it, but it seems so expensive that I'm just not sure (I've also never known anyone that has actually done it). sammysam, sorry you're having a rough week. Have you had your thyroid levels checked? With everything that went on with your loss, your hormones might have gotten knocked out of whack. Just a thought.

It's funny I was actually thinking about this. I'll bring it up with my doctor at my next appointment. I'm glad you mentioned it because I was feeling like I was just looking for excuses. But all the weight has come on after my loss so maybe it does make sense? Also, what kind of sandbox do you have? I need to get a new one for DD and have no idea what to get:/

charliefox, it took some getting used to, but I really do love it. I've had it for almost a year now and there is a HUGE difference. I had a severe cross bite and overbite which made my teeth overcrowded. My mouth was also very, very narrow. So almost every 6 months I ended up having to do some sort of dental work because no matter how much I brushed, flossed or used mouth wash I inevitably had a cavity. It is expensive, but invisalign has a tier of how bad your mouth is and they do cost like that. So mine was a tier 4 (the worst) so I had to pay a little more and have them for a little longer. I go next week for them to rescan me and see how much longer I have to go. I switch my trays every 4 days now and this year has flown by. I already feel so much better about my mouth now! Sorry for the book! tl;dr it is well worth the price!

OK. New plan for me. I'm still aiming for my 10 000 steps a day, BUT, I'm going to start my beach body power 90 workouts again. My goal right now is to make it to at least 60 days and to drop 2 lbs a week. I'm going to get up super early and do it while DD is still in bed so I'm going to use this thread to make myself accountable. Feel free to yell at me if you don't see me posting regularly about my progress. The beginning of this week sucked but I ordered a new scale and I'm planning on weighing every day just because I think that's what I need now. It's almost 2am, DD wet the bed and now I can't get back to sleep. Poop.

Can I jump in here with you all? Health wise, my starting point was being a late-30s overweight woman with two bad knees and a bad hip (partially weight related, partially due to an accident). In January, I committed to losing weight and getting healthy since I really feel like my weight is hurting our chances at TTC (in addition to my age of course). I'm also a vegetarian/pescetarian (I occasionally eat fish but mostly stick to a lacto/ovo vegetarian diet, fish is really just for if we're somewhere that doesn't have good vegetarian options). I've lost 10lbs since January, have about 90-150 more to go depending on what level of fitness I want to reach. (90 would be my PP weight with my DD who is turning 10 this month, 150 would put me out of the "overweight" category). I gained a lot of weight after my divorce in 2013 and my accident, I can't change the past, I can only change the future Starting in February, DH & I cut out soda. We allow it on rare occasions (I've had diet soda 3 times since February, compared to drinking it 3-4 times a day prior to that). This month, my goal has been to be active daily (done that so far) and starting next week I'm going back to My Fitness Pal. Once we do that, DH & I are going to try to reduce our added sugar intake which I think will be a huge step in the right direction. Thanks for letting me play

We had a strip of grass along the house that never grew because it never got any sun so we took it out and built a sandbox. It's huge but can easily accommodate 2, probably 3, kids which is great for playdates. I ended up putting in 1100lbs of sand and it could still use some more. DS is in LOVE with it.

Finished 60 days of yoga today!
I think I'm going to do her "Yoga Camp" for the next 30 days. It seems a little bit too yogi for me but I really don't feel like putting together my own playlist this time. Some of the videos seem shorter or easier than I'd like so I'll probably supplement with other videos some days.
I really need to get some more cardio in. I really prefer to do long, strenuous walks, but it's hard to find the time. It's already almost too hot to do them midday (plus DS doesn't really like to be in the stroller that long), and H goes into work early and get's home late. Ugh, I just NEED to fit them in somewhere. Gotta carve out the time.

charliefox That's amazing! I had a sand box like that growing up and I'm hoping SO will build something like that for DD once we are in our new house. We have a giant oak in the yard that unfortunately needs to come down. SO was thinking of using as much of it as we can to make a small scale natural play ground and cut the rest up for fire wood. He should easily be able to finagle part of the yard in to a sand pit of sorts.

Thank you for this! It's so what I need! DD and I walked to the playground after school and played for 2 hours and then I did stairs for an hour just before getting ready for bed. My new scale came today so I'm hoping it will motivate me. I also did pretty good with food so I'm calling today a win!

charliefox do you have a lid or cover for the sandbox? Currently just using a tarp draped across it. I think I will make one or will find a way to secure the tarp.

I started this yoga thing right before our first IUI because I needed something else to focus on. I also have spent the last almost 2 years thinking "oh it doesn't matter, I'll be pregnant soon", no matter what happens I'll be happier if I focus on ME.

I'm just worried about this awesome project becoming the neighborhood litter box, because that would be terrible! Glad you have a plan to keep it unsullied, lol

Thought I’d jump in here, too. I am doing weight watchers and exercising 5 times per week. I have been really good with the exercising since the first of the year and I am feeling so much better. I have had some serious back pain in the past, and it is so improved which helps my mood and my parenting! Now if I could just stay on track with the eating....... I’ve been really good this week for the first time in a long time so I’m hoping to see the scale move in the right direction tomorrow morning. Trying to lose this same 5 lbs that I’ve gained and lost 12 times over the past year. And then I need to lose a bunch more after that!
I also decided at the beginning of this year that it was going to be about me and I was going to stop feeling guilty for making time for myself. Healthy mommy, healthy family is my new mantra!
Great work in here, ladies!!

Thanks for the welcome and good luck everyone!! charliefox I'm also guilty of the "I'll be pregnant soon so what's the use" line of thinking, but here we are 17 months later, still no baby. I've decided going forward that I'm not putting anything on old for a baby that might not happen that month (I refuse to say "never" because it will happen!) @obscurereference I agree, healthy mommy, healthy family! My DD has noticed that I've been eating healthier and she's now curious about trying new foods. She's almost 10 and has sensory issues when it comes to food so that's a huge win!
