Both gets legit starting crying at the same time, 6am. Normally they stagger their wake ups so I can get one downstairs for a bit before the next wakes up. I forgot to set up the coffee machine (no biggie, I just wanted hot coffee immediately upon wake up, not five minutes later. FWP) and forgot to shower last night too.
The weather is suppose to be nice. I'm thinking of taking the kids to an arboretum today. My only concern is if ds gets grumpy while I'm wearing dd. It would be quite the scene to get him back to the car. But I can't stay home today. Nope nope nope.

I need to get groceries this morning but I'm having trouble meal planning. DH (and I to some extent) is doing Atkins and I'm dairy-free...so unless I want to make separate meals (hard pass) I need to make low carb/dairy-free meals and it's becoming difficult, gah! Grocery shopping used to be fun and now it's annoying.
DS has a baseball game this afternoon and it's supposed to hit 90 today. I might actually get around to putting together DD1s water table!

We're having friends over for dinner so I need to get some food prepped and clean up a bit. DS is eating a plain piece of bread for breakfast after requesting "Toast! No cook! No peanut butter!" Kids are so weird. Get out of the house Lakes! That's always my motto. Even if the kids melt down, at least they'll be tired for naps. That's a hard meal planning combo jess213. I have a hard enough time with no diet restrictions.

Hi! Coffee. My sil is in town until today so she came over last night after the kids went down. We split a bottle of wine and stayed up until 1:30 talking. I love her, she is pretty much my sister. But now I'm exhausted, after she left R woke up at 2, 4, 6 and the finally 8:30 for a bottle. I will be surviving on coffee today, hot now cold brew later.

Here with coffee! We have been using our weekends to explore our new city so today we are going to a park the girls and I found the other day then a diner. jess213, I also don't eat dairy I can't imagine also doing Atkins, I would be rather hungry. carrots, feeding children is a nightmare, just make up your mind! Lakes, I agree thinking about getting out of the house with both kids always seems worse but I get out with both mine everyday during the week and always feel so much better and time passes so much more quickly. meeggaannw, I'm sorry about all the wakes up but sounds like the wine drinking was a success and that's what's really important.

H is still sleeping. I have several errands to run too I probably will skip the pedicure today though since H is still so worried about getting E sick.

Hello. I'm not at all caught up this week but saying hi. Hope everyone is ok? Solo patenting Lakes? You'll do great! Work is rough and kicking my butt, but I am trying to stay off the laptop this weekend. We have a birthday party, errands, and an early dinner out tonight. Going to the baseball for kids fest tomorrow. DS1 will have a ball running all over the park with DH and I'll get to sit and chill with H in the shade hopefully I'll get to check in again over the weekend.

I had totally healthy plans to have a salad for lunch but I'm out of salad mix. So now I'm dipping croutons into Olive Garden dressing, same thing right?

carrots and neekoneeko I plan the same way during the week, we need to get out of the house at least once a day. Even if it's just a walk or silly errand. The arboretum was a hit! We were there for 2.5 hours This one is only ten minutes from the house and a tad smaller than the one we went to for Mother's Day. Ds did great and, brag alert, he walked two miles with no complaints! I was worried he have a meltdown and it would be a waste of $15, plus trying to get him to the car while wearing dd, etc. I hadn't been to this one in years and after seeing how kid friendly it was I signed up to be a member! Three more trips and it will have paid for itself. We only explored 1/3 of it too. The only snafu was dd had a poop through in the ergo. But it only got on the infant insert so that's easy to clean. I managed to nurse her while she was in there but I felt like I had to have my hand in there holding my boob up in order for her to latch properly. Anyone have any tips? I think orangecrush recently accomplished this?

Lakes I did! In a ring sling. I had to get her pretty low in it to work successfully. I think she re- latched a few times so it wasn't perfect!

Lakes, I have been successful nursing in the ergo. I found the positioning hard but getting her all set up and then using the natural tension to hold her in place helped but I haven't been doing it and moving around or anything though.

Yeah, we were still walking after the toddler. I didn't mind having my hand up there, I just wondered if I was doing it wrong. I'll definitely be doing it again! It was much easier than trying to get ds to chill and unpacking andthen repacking dd in the carrier.

I'm so over work. There's usually one tech here who ends up working the same Saturdays that I do and he always comes into the office to chat. It makes the day go quicker. But not today :/ Guess they were slammed, maybe. Idk. But today crawled and these last 40 minutes make me want to punch someone. I want to go home! *cries*

Lakes no Ergo nursing tips - I'm just impressed you did it period! I have to hold my boob to nurse M all the time or her latch sucks (same for DS). I think my boobs are weird.

Why do the weekends fly by so quick?! Yesterday we went to my sisters for lunch and ended up staying until late in the evening. We split a bottle, or two or three, of wine and talked. Really enjoy those days/nights. B has been having crap sleep the last few nights. His normal is usually anywhere from 6-10 hour sleep stretches at night. The last 3 nights we are lucky to get a 3 hour stretch. Not sure what's going on - teething, growth spurt, sleep regression? Regardless it makes for crazy long days at work.
Today I had planned on going to work to catch up on things that I can't during the week due to all of the therapists being there and me being pulled in a thousand different directions. But now that today is here, I'm just not feeling it. So we'll see what happens later!

Is there any reason to roll E to her back when she rolls over to her stomach motn? Unless she is fussing obviously.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk E is older but I'd still check with her doctor because she's a preemie. I think the general rule of thumb is you put them to sleep on their backs and once they can roll, it's okay if they roll into their bellies during the night? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I was never comfortable with ds doing it until he was much older and always flipped him back but I had ppa and was not rational about a lot of things.

Why do my kids hate sleeping in? Dd was up at 5:30 and wouldn't go back down, which woke up ds. The more fun we have, the earlier they get up. I would have though that being so busy, two mile walk or the shore, would make them want to sleep in!
At least I remembered to set up the coffee maker last night.

I second this peaseblossom55. It's a little weird to get used to since back is best has been drilled into us but if you get the ok from her pediatrician, I'd let her be. M has been sleeping on her belly full time for a month or so.
