Does anyone have recommendations for labeling bottles for daycare? I was looking at the stickers on the inchbug website, but thought I’d check to see if any of you had any good options!

For DS1 I got stickers and some bands that wrap around the bottle. You can search bottle labels on ETSY and a bunch of choices come up.

I just did those stickers with his name already printed on. Never once came off, even when I boiled the bottles to sterilise.

I am standing in my kitchen in my underwear waiting with everything crossed that DS falls asleep so I can shower. I put him down asleep then went to the other bathroom to shower but forgot contact lenses and saw he was awake when I snuck back in.
Cmon baby, mama needs a hot shower!
(Its 7:00am here)

Update: he did not sleep. But happily lay on his activity mat with me in the bathroom.
Stinker went down for a nap after that 😑
Oh well. Now I can drink my coffee in peace at least.

Is anyone seeing a ram lance if a schedule? I’m looking forward to a bit of predictability, but can’t remember when it started? 12 weeks?

Baby only wants to be on me. Been solo parenting all day. I need to dig out my moby wrap and try it.

I can’t for the life of me get this kid to sleep anywhere besides on me. And if the paci falls out of his mouth he’s wide awake. And screaming. Omg the screaming.
This horrible day can end any time now. I just need to not be holding a baby for like a half hour.

I almost throw the baby at dh when he gets home and then I feel awful. Like if I really loved this kid it wouldn’t bother me and I wouldn’t want to be apart right? Currently my drive to pick up dd1 from church is my “break”. I’m alone. It’s the little things right??

I can not for the life of me remember but I’m SO already for it. And I swear my DD was already pretty predictable at this age. This baby is something different every day😑

MH needed to work on the lawn tonight so I’ve not been apart from this baby in 24 Hours. I am so done. She slept exactly two hours last night. Babies, man. Have I mentioned I’m glad this is my last one? 😂

Yesterday I went to the dentist, ended up getting frozen and a temporary crown put on my broken tooth. And it felt like a fucking vacation so I absolutely get what you are saying.

I just can’t stand the unpredictability. Like we have a great day or a great night and then I think we do the exact same thing the next day and it’s an utter shit show. It’s driving me crazy.
I just think I’m not well suited to the newborn life.

Ugh. Sorry you guys. It’s been a hard day and my mouth still feels bruised and it’s making me very cranky.
In other news my 4yr old fell asleep on his dinner plate tonight so I suppose that’s one less bedtime I have to do

I just think I’m not well suited to the newborn life. Hi me. This is my life. Like some days are great and I’m like okay I can do this. And then the next day he doesn’t sleep or he screams the entire day. And I want to crawl in a hole and run away. I hate that I only like the “good” moments and the rest of the time I can’t wait for this part to be over. This kid is just so much harder than my first. I could at least calm DS1 when he cried. This one - nope. I think if L had been my first I may have questioned having a second. But somehow I still maybe want a third? What is wrong with me?

I’m so sorry about all the really hard newborns. The unpredictability is absolutely the worst. My toddler was that awful, if he was awake he was crying, kind of newborn. I promise it gets better, and it’s really okay to not “enjoy every moment.” I think I disliked my older DS more often than liked him for the first six months to a year, and I felt so guilty about that.
It really is going to get better. Hang in there, friends ❤️

My son was a very difficult infant but when he grew out of it, it was like clouds cleared and he has been the most cheerful delightful child ever since. No terrible twos or threes. Just all love. It will get better. Don't be afraid to give yourself grace

Thank you guys. Yesterday was such a hard day. And weve had a good night thus far so between your messages and a bit of sleep, I’m hoping the day shapes ups.

Has anyone used gas drops for baby? Did they work? Is there a brand you recommend? DS2 seems to have really uncomfortable gas and I’m thinking about getting some.

It’s amazing how everything always looks better after a good nights sleep. Has anyone had a problem with a formula fed baby suddenly start spitting up? J has been on the same formula since he’s been born, and he just started spitting up a lot. He doesn’t seem like he’s in pain and I try to burp him often. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s getting harder to burp, or if maybe I should try a different formula.

snowmoon what diaper does your DS wear overnight? Mine’s been in a brown edge GMD prefold under a wool cover. They’re barely wide enough but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting the next size up from GMD right now.

Elle spits up if we use bottles with non-newborn nipples. Or if we lay her down too soon after feeding.

Are you talking about the simethicone gas drops? If so, we used generic drug store brands and also Little Remedies brand for the older kiddo. Have not yet had to use it for #2.
