Are you planning to get anything for your kid(s) teacher(s)?

I usually do Target gift cards but my kids have so many teachers this year. Last year each kid had 1 teacher. This year DS1 and DD are both in inclusion classes so they have 2 teachers and DD has an aide (a one on one for another kid in the class but she's very nice and DD loves her.) T has a teacher and 2 aides for his class time but then different people for lunch, nap, and afternoon playtime (probably like 8 extra people at least) and the owner of the school. I want to do something for everyone but it's crazy.

We have teacher appreciation week, which is this week. Each day is something different. Tomorrow is thank you cards, so I had Cadence draw some cards and write her name on them. Tuesday they are doing a pot luck lunch for them, so we signed up to take a fruit and veggie tray. I don't know what the other days are, so Friday I'm going to give her actual teacher a personalized travel mug with a Starbucks card.

Like klong11 we have teacher appreciation week this week. Monday: wear the teachers favorite color Tuesday: write a thank you note Wednesday: bring a flower for teacher I'm too lazy to go downstairs and look at the last two days.

Would it be super dorky to get a mug with their first initial and then put a flower plant inside?

We also have Teacher Appreciation week and were asked to do cards, which we haven't done yet. But I did order Panera for them for lunch on Thursday. I show appreciation with food.

We don't do teacher appreciation week at our school. Actually if I recall, last year they sent out an email that it was teacher appreciation week like mid way through the week. Ummm too late to really do anything, people!
Anyway, since S moved classes in February, I guess I should get his old teacher and his new teacher something. I am lazy, so I usually do Target gift cards for his lead teachers and Dunkin gift cards for assistants or floaters who I know. The problem is I feel like there have been 900 floater/assistants through B's room so I might just get something for his lead teacher and bring in munchkins or something for everyone who pops through there.

I feel like the potluck tomorrow is going to be a shit show. I signed up for a fruit tray and veggie tray. The first thing on the list that someone was bringing was chicken wraps. ok cool. Then people started adding "drinks" and "dessert"...what kind of drink? what kind of dessert? I don't want to bring brownies if someone else is bringing brownies, write what you are actually bringing! Then someone wrote mashed potatoes. ....why are you bringing mashed potatoes to something where chicken wraps are the main dish? Do people normally eat mashed potatoes with their sandwich-like items? So tomorrow the teachers will be having a lot of unknown desserts and mashed potatoes... I couldn't tell if there was a theme, which is why I chose the trays.

This is why I ordered sandwiches so at least there’s a full entree. The last pot luck we had was 15 pizzas and weird sides.

Also teacher appreciation week here. They have a brunch for the teachers on Wednesday and ask parents to sign up/contribute food, but otherwise no daily gifts or anything.
As for a year-end gift, I'll probably just get her a Target gift card and have B write a thank-you card. She's been a good teacher but isn't particularly warm-fuzzy and I really know nothing about her, other than that she is married and has two kids of her own, so it'd be hard to do anything more personalized.

klong11 Yeah, I'll be interested to see how the potluck brunch at our school turns out, as well. Thankfully most parents signed up for specifics. I saw normal stuff--coffee, chick Fil A minis, donuts, etc., and then a couple more 'interesting' things like biscuit/gravy casserole. No offense but I have no interest in eating biscuit and gravy casserole from some unknown parent, esp. if it's been sitting out all morning. Or mashed potatoes, for that matter (so, so odd!)

So we never found out before today what his teachers favorite color is so I picked a colorful outfit. Luckily her favorite color is blue and both his shirt and shorts had the color.
