We’re mostly fully packed. Just ran 4 miles, trying to will myself to start getting ready for the day. I’m heading to Kansas City for a baby shower. DD2 has a dance performance. Tomorrow we have church, a birthday party and Girl Scouts. And at some point I need to put away like two weeks of laundry. And we need to clean up the yard and clean out the garage. Time to get moving!

Weekend is fully packed. I have my cousins bridal shower this AM that I’m going to with the baby. It’s an hour and 15min away so I likely won’t be home till 2ish. Then we’re doing fajitas and margaritas tonight for dinner.
Then tomorrow we have church, and MH and I are going to a show later in the afternoon and out for dinner after. I got him tickets to see The Illusionists for his bday. I’m so excited to go. We’ve never been to a show like this before! And plus, alone time date night FTW

Happy weekend everyone! My parents are picking DS up at 1 today and we are having our first overnight without him. We are spending the night downtown to celebrate DH's birthday. I'm so excited for drinks and the weather is absolutely beautiful, but I'm a little sad about leaving him for the first time! My mom is so great with him though so I know he'll be fine. I can't wait for wine on a patio 😊🍾

Good morning! ajetter you’re a rock star. Some day I’ll go running again!..... No big plans for today so far, except for my bff and her SO coming over tonight after DD1’s bedtime for wine and cheese and cake. 😊 And tomorrow there’s a home and garden festival that we’ll go to if not rained out. Hoping to find some nice benches and a bistro table for our porch. In unrelated news, I hate our cat. It’s really a shame, since before kids I loved her dearly. Now I just hate her. She meows every morning while we’re trying to sleep, scratches up our rugs. She’s really just a normal cat, but I guess I don’t have the emotional space to excuse her shenanigans.

bassa, you're not alone. My dog acts up as well. She's 9 or so now, we've had her for 7 years (adopted in 2011). It's very frustrating anymore. We kind of decided once we lose her, whenever that is, we would wait a little to get another dog. I had Goldens my whole life so I'm not used to a dog being older than 9/10. Aside from the toe amputation last fall, she's in decent health 😒

Hi all!
We decided to go get pizza last night at my fave place, we're not into going out on holidays so we decided it was our Mother's Day celebration.
I've got 2 papers to write this weekend and then my Finance class will really be over!! I'm just hoping I do well enough on these final assignments to squeak by with an A.
I also have to shop for a gift for my cousins bridal shower tomorrow. Eep. So there's that.
But O slept well again last night! I'm hopeful that we're getting thru the worst of it. She's even not having reflux in the motn and I could even see us moving her to her crib at 3mo like we did with her sister.

We were invited to the zoo today by my sister and her kids, but we had to back out because of DD1’s behavior.
“If you throw your toothbrush one more time, we will not go to the zoo.”
(Runs down the hall throwing her toothbrush and screaming.)

Good morning! We are on the road and headed to Sesame place. G is watching Coco in the back seat and the baby is sleeping. We have a packed weekend. We have Sesame today and G’s birthday tomorrow. I have to clean my house tomorrow morning too. Ugh so much.

pinkcat have such a good time today/tonight! Your baby is in good hands with your mom. It’s good for both of them. Your moms probably so excited! If I was doing this, I’d pump right before you go to bed but I wouldn’t set my alarm MOTB to pump. If my boobs woke me up I’d do it but if not, I’d enjoy the sleep! I’d set my alarm for when he usually does his first morning feed and then try to go back to sleep!

I think my mom is even more excited than we are 😊 And I was wondering whether I needed to set an alarm to pump then...that is great advice! I am so excited for some uninterrupted sleep. I hope you have a great weekend too!

We are pretty busy. My brother and SIL are having a gender reveal party tonight for their first child. They live two hours a way, so we are doing our first long drive with the baby and staying over my moms. DS is already there, my mom took him home with her Friday morning, so we just have the baby on the drive there, and then both on the drive home. A lot of my family has not seen the baby yet, but I know a lot of them are going to comment on how big she is, and it’s going to bother me...not sure if I can just let it slide or not.

marygracerich in case I miss it tomorrow, happy birthday to G! Quiet weekend at home here, which is nice. Looking ahead we have some fun but busy ones ahead! Mostly just getting stuffed cleaned up/organized for summer outside and hanging out. Supposed to be a really nice weekend so I’m sure we’ll mostly be outdoors and hopefully get a hot dog roast in tonight or tomorrow. I even shaved my legs last night for shorts weather whoop whoop hahaha. Have a good one!

Hey ladies! Jealous of your dates! Hope you guys have fun! Not much going on today besides H is taking DS1 to Home Depot for the kids workshop this morning! I need to finish putting away laundry and clean up. I might try to talk h into Converting the bassinet to the crib this weekend. I just need to figure out which room I want to put it in. This place is just not working for us anymore and it’s driving me bonkers. FX an affordable rental house will pop up that will meet H’s high standards.
ETA: Words are hard yo.

It should be slow and relaxed. Baby is napping and I've straightened up the living room and put away the baptism gifts that were still in the living room. Last night we got all of our thank you notes written, I just need to put stamps on them and put them in the mailbox. I've also (finally) digitized my address book into a google form. I had addresses in a physical book and a few different spreadsheets from our wedding and baby shower invitation lists. We've been married 4 years and no exageration, 80% of our invitation list has either moved and/or divorced. So I reached out for a few new addresses and made sure I had the right spouse listed. lol
DH is at a church thing for another hour or so. After he gets back I think I'm going to go out and run some errands. I have free money to spend at Carter's that will expire so I will go get her some new clothes, plus I have a return for there so more "free" money. I'm also going to stop at a baby re-sell store and look for some summer sleepers.
I would like to spend tomorrow afternoon working on some crafts. I have some gifts that need to be made for showers coming up in the next month. I have the supplies and everything designed, I just need to get it all done.

Hi guys! Jealous of all the dates happening!
Last night my BFF came over & we made homemade pizzas & drank a whole bottle of wine.
We had DDs birthday party today and it was so fun. Just brunch food & the kids played outside while we all just socialized. Didn’t make a big fuss out of presents or anything which was awesome. DD loved it! Now both kids are napping and I’m watching tv.
I originally had a cinco de mayo party I was going to tonight...my sister was going to drive up to watch the kids but now she can’t come so I can’t go. It’s not terrible though, I’m so tired from the last few days & it will be nice to stay home. I’ve got a lot of grading to do too.

Such a busy day but so much fun! Errands in the morning then multicultural festival in the park. We hung out at home for a couple hours then off to a Derby party. Oh and it was just me and the kids for all of it bc DH had to work. Weather was nice...warm but mostly overcast and not very humid. I did manage to fit in yoga this afternoon but I did eat a lot! Pupusas....

I wanted to tag people, but I’m tipsy so too hard. 🤷🏼♀️
In regards to me getting up early to go run, I just don’t sleep much (6 hours a night), and if I don’t run I’m a bitch. Also I like chocolate too much so I’m not killing it in the health and fitness department by any means.
Found out while driving the 1.25 hour home from the baby shower, on this 87 degree day, that my AC in my car is not working. Stupid. So I’m drinking some premixed margaritas and eating guacamole and saying to hell with it all!

Happy Saturday night!
We went out to breakfast this morning and then walked around a botanical garden. J is still miserable with the viral gunk he has but we made the most out of it. I think he enjoyed looking around at the gardens.

Me yesterday: I’m going to have a couple drinks and not set an alarm and just have an easy morning.
Naturally: DD2 throws up at 1:40am, DD4 wakes up out of character at 2:30am and isn’t back asleep until 4, DD1 has a bad dream at 5:15am and can’t go back to sleep, DD4 wakes up screaming at 5:45am (she was soaked with spit up when I got in here so reflux or something), and when I check the monitor after she woke me DD3 (who didn’t nap yesterday) is awake and playing in her room.
It’s fine. This is fine. Everything is fine. 😭😭😭
