My DS is 8 months old. He seems to get tired around 6:30-7. For some reason I feel like that's too early so I keep him up until around 8:30. What time are you putting your baby to bed?

DS2 (also 11 months) has been going to bed between 7:30-8pm for a few months now.
Both of my boys went through a bit of a phase where they were ready for bed between 6:45-7. I usually just follow their cues and put them down when they're tired.

I follow her cues so no set bed time. It’s anywhere from 8-9:30pm. She’s 11 months. When she was younger sometimes it’d be earlier.

DS2 is almost 8 months. He goes to bed between 7 and 7:30 most nights. He wakes up from his last nap usually around 4 so he's more than ready.
DS1's bedtime was 7:30 until he was like 2 ish. He was just ready then 🤷 and he was a much better sleeper than this baby.
I say put em down when they're ready. There's no sense in keeping a baby awake and dealing with and overtired, cranky, baby.
Sleep begets sleep.

My 11 MO is usually in bed by 7:30-7:45. I don't think 7 is too early, especially if he seems ready for bed.

DS is almost 8mo and is usually down around 7:30-8:00. He wakes up from his last nap around 4:30. Sometimes he's just wiped and goes down closer to 7:00, especially now that his class spends a lot of time outside.

At that age, DD went to bed at 7pm and we woke her up at 6:30am. Some days she was already up at 6:30, some days she would sleep until 7 or 7:30 if we let her.

I left out that she was waking up at least 3x a night 😴 If she slept until 7, it was probably because I was in nursing her at 5, lol

V went to bed around 6/6:30 at that age and was up at 6am which works for us because we leave at 7 for work/daycare. Around 10 months she pushed bedtime to 6:30/7 and now at almost 11 months is pretty much 7pm. Still up around 6.

J is 11 months old and her bedtime has been 7pm for the last couple of months. She usually wakes up about 7am. I feel so thankful now. For the first 4 months she had her days and nights all mixed up. I think she was still on utero time.

Thanks everyone. I think I will just follow his cues and see how it goes. Fwiw we start bedtime with my 7 month old around 630 and he's asleep in his crib by 730. We did the same thing with my first and even at 3 years old, he's in bed by 8pm. Overtired babies are harder to get to sleep and don't sleep as well in my experience. We recently moved up bedtime for ds2 because he was a nightmare to get to sleep. Turns out he just wanted to go to bed earlier.

DS has been going to sleep between 6:30/7 since he was born. I don’t think it’s too early.
ETA: currently 9 months old
