Aw: Here's my 6 week old in a 6 month sleeper and not at all swimming in it. I can't get over how big she is!

I still have carpal tunnel in both of my wrists. My hands ache and my fingers are still numb and tingly. I was hoping by some miracle this would all go away after giving birth, but it seems to be getting more painful again.
On a totally different subject, this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous here and it will also be my birthday. So, I'm hoping to do something fun outdoors with my family. I'm loving the warmer 70 degree weather. Seems like winter lasted for forever.

mattsgirl2004 I’m sorry about the carpal tunnel still hanging around. The world needs to give you a break. I hope you have a good birthday weekend though! Nice weather always makes such a huge difference in my mood.

Ugh. I was able to get 2 hours of sleep. Em is at my ILs and N has been sleeping thankfully.
I feel like crap. I was going to try a buti yoga class tonight but that's not happening now. Basically I'm just trying to survive until bedtime.
I'm confused also. The ER doc said everything was fine, but the ultrasound results say there's evidence of retained products of conception? I have my 6w pp visit Tuesday so hopefully I'll get answers then.

Mine was really heavy too - not that heavy though but same timing and it went away after a couple of days.

SO went to ball last night and rolled his ankle. It’s swollen and bruised and so of course he can’t do anything.
I’m the nicest of course so I told him that my cap of keeping things alive is 3 so he better hope the 2 dogs are low maintenance until he heals.

So I’m making a memory book for L. It will have pics from throughout my pregnancy all the way to his first birthday. I want to include text/captions on lots of the pages, but I can’t figure out how to word them. Like do I use third person everywhere (Grandma threw a baby shower for Mom and L, Mom and Dad arrived at the hospital at 6, Dad put together the crib in L’s room, etc)? Since I don’t want to keep repeating Mom/Dad, I guess I’d use “they” but that sounds weird to me. I could also word it from my point of view since I’m the one writing it (I started having ctx at 1, the dr put you in my arms, etc) but then I’d be using “I” to refer to me and “he” to refer to H, and that seems weird too, like the book is only from/about me. Last one... I’m guessing I’ll give the book to L when he’s older, so should I use his name or “you” (you were 8 lb, you took your first walk, etc) vs (L took his first trip to the zoo, etc)?
If you read all that and have an opinion you care to share, many many thanks! If you DGAF, that’s fine too! Not the most pressing of issues here, but I’m having a hard time deciding what sounds best.

But also hope he’s actually okay. H slammed his finger in the car door this morning, so fx he’s not to “injured” to help.

clementine I was just loling at myself because I realized in DS's baby book I failed to keep it all in the same person. I think I like we(parents) and you(baby) and dad or mom when talking about only one. Examples: We love your big grins. You hate having shirts put on you. Mom took you to your first fire.

clementine Fwiw- I have journals I kept up through pregnancy to present for both the kids and tend to write it almost like a letter. “We found out we were expecting you” “You smiled at your dad today” that’s just my preference though. Or like you said, you could do third person and keep descriptions short. ETA- if it’s something that not just he would be looking at, I would maybe do third person for photo captions so anyone looking at it would know who’s in the pictures?

But this has happened before and he has an ankle brace. That was in his bag. FFS

clementine I write mine like I’m writing to him. “Mommy was up all night with you while you screamed your face off for hours and daddy pretended to sleep like he always does”. Stuff like that.

clementine I used “we” and “you” in DS1’s book. If I was talking about just me I used “mum” and “dad” for MH. Eg “We were so excited to see you at the ultrasound” “Mum made you a vanilla cake for your first birthday” “Dad loved throwing the ball to you”

I don’t know what gives but DS2 took pity on me last night and slept really well. I really needed that. Bet it’s a fluke lol.

cornpop How much does your ultrasound say you’ve retained? I had RPOC that I didn’t find out about until 9 weeks postpartum with my first pregnancy, I would be following up with your doctor ASAP.

It doesn't say just that there may be evidence. I have my pp appointment Tuesday so I think I'll just going to wait until then.

I’m sure they would’ve handled it in the ER if there was a real concern. Sorry if I seemed alarmist, I just didn’t have a good experience

Don't be sorry babybean, I appreciate it. Do you mind if I ask what symptoms you had?
