If any one can suggest a way to get my baby to use a pacifier instead of my poor boobs for soothing, I’d be eternally grateful. Ouch.
I’m binge watching Schitts Creek and watching Lost in Space with DH. Both are fantastic if you’re looking for a new show. And if you haven’t watched The Good Place, add that to the list.

One of my BFF’s is here making pancakes with DD1. She’s on her way to my other BFF’s to visit her too. BFF2 still can’t drive/go to work since her daughter passed, so we had been visiting on mondays to try to get her out of the house. But now I’ve got DD2 so I’m out. She’s doing extremely well but obviously we are not in a place where she wants to be around my newborn. I’m just glad she knows she can tell me she’s not ready. I just want bff healthy and happy.

I've been MIA the past few days with family being in town. It was busy and exhausting, but a nice visit. I'd like to say that I got caught up on sleep, but no such luck. It was nice, however, to have the extra arms around to hold the baby and/or entertain my kids. Today is my last day of maternity leave. Baby isn't even 4 weeks yet and I don't feel ready. I start watching kids again tomorrow. I wish I had another few weeks off still.

My H went away for 2 nights last night. I lived in Philly by myself for years without being scared but now, living in the burbs, I can never sleep when my H isn't here. So I was up most of the night.
Now I'm exhausted and cuddling with Elle while Em is at preschool. Afterwards we're going to paint a birdhouse and go to my parents for dinner.

Also, I want a new pair of Tieks but I can't decide if I should replace my black ones (boring), get hot pink or sparkly copper. #fwp

D1 came into our room at 4am coughing up a storm. And the baby woke up a little congested. I'm not sure if it's a cold or allergies but I think we will be staying in today.
We went to the park yesterday and flew kites with D1 and my niece and nephews. It was fun and such a nice day out. I'm looking forward to being able to spend more time outside this summer.

I have 3 graduations to go this month so I'm going to spend my day online shopping for a summer dress or two for them. Of course a few cute ones I like don't look breastfeeding friendly.

Can newborns have allergies? I can't figure out if DS2 has a cold or allergies. DS1 was sick but I don't know if he got DS2 sick and my allergies have been starting up so it could be either.

I went to Old Navy yesterday (because the whole store was 40% off) to look for BF friendly clothes and only walked out with 2 tanks and a pair of shorts☹️

I have a graduation in a few weeks and there will be A LOT of pictures. We may also be doing some formal family pictures since we’ll all be together. I am... not pleased. I’m trying to find some button up dresses but I haven’t had any luck. Are any of the actual nursing dresses cute? Most I’ve seen look matronly

Leaf 🌱 I know this may sound dumb but just keep offering over and over for as long as it takes. With two of mine I almost had to force it on them. My oldest startedbsucking her fingers by 6w and it was a non issue. John like the wabanubs since they hold in place better and he can kind of push it back in if it starts to slip. It took weeks but he is starting to take it more often.

I’m going to need some dresses for a few weddings we have coming up. Well... I don’t NEED new dresses bc I can probably wear some more flowy ones I already have. But I want new dresses. I’ll have to psych myself up for going shopping with L then. I guess I’ll just take the carrier in the stroller? How does anyone go to the grocery? Carrier in the cart? Or maybe baby wearing.

I think I've gotten my first PP period. Or I just started bleeding again randomly.
I'm supposed to go for a wax Wednesday so now I guess I should cancel?

I think I want to go back to bed and start this day over. DH left out the charcoal powder he’s been using to try to whiten his teeth. While I was feeding J, DD went upstairs and when she came down she was covered head to toe in charcoal. She got a bath, but I still need to deal with the bathroom and the black footprints I have in my bedroom.

Add me to the bench of "do the baby and I have a cold or allergies??"
I'm eating lunch at Target Starbucks after returning the too short crib mattress. Then need to go back out to my truck to get two car seats to trade in. One for myself and one for a friend. So much lugging bulky stuff around.

E also has a bit of a cold (or allergies?) She was so congested yesterday I used some saline drops and she sneezed out a boogie that was the size of a gd grape. I couldn't even believe it.
But! She successfully took her first bottle yesterday so I could do DS' bedtime routine and then have a long hot shower and pamper sesh. It was lovely.

I am seriously impressed by the size of the boogers that come out of these teeny little nostrils. Your pamper session is my dream goal these days.
