Oh man sunfrogger, my sympathies Baby just woke up screaming like he was in pain. Barely opened his eyes and kept making noise until he fell back asleep about five minutes later after I rocked him. He’s done this maybe 2-3 other times but in the middle of the day while napping in someone’s arms. This time he was in his bassinet. Any one else experienced this? I wonder if it’s a nightmare or is he to young for that?

First day back at work! I’m pumping and drinking coffee, then it’s off to the races. I am both looking forward to this and not, as you do.

We woke up to 2 inches of snow. DS1 loves snow and was not happy. It’s his first day back at school today after spring break.
We got the baby to sleep on his back all night in the mini crib instead of the bouncy. The only downfall is he is up every 3 hours to eat instead of once or sleeping through the night. Good news is though is he got me up at 5 which I need to start doing to get ready to go back to work.
I’m doing a bunch of house stuff today and starting my workouts.

Good morning ladies! I have slept 20 minutes since 2:30 this morning. This is not good. I have to meet with my boss at 1pm. My stepmom is coming to watch the kids but I don’t want to work while this tired. I’m hoping it won’t be more than two hours. G has a little cold. I sent her to school anyway. She only has a runny nose. No fever. If I kept her home for every runny nose, she would have never gone to school. This is her last week so I don’t want her to miss anything.

This is the kind of waking we're experiencing but especially last night. I think it's gas or tummy issues. O had the most wakings she's had in a while, and then a very big explosion while I was rocking her at 3am.

Sunday is G’s birthday. I am thinking about taking her to Sesame place on Saturday. I have season passes and it’s super hero weekend. They are having the PJ masks there. She has recently started watching that show and she loves it. The weather says 77 and sunny there. She is going to have a ball.

I am looking forward to it except, not. I’m excited for the work part, but I’m havin some serious anxiety about leaving both girls with MIL. She handles DD1 great by herself, and H is a fairly easy baby, but she’s still a baby. She had both girls on Saturday from 830-3 while I went to a women’s event at my church, but she also had FIL there with her so they were able to divide and conquer. I really don’t think she’s going to be able to handle them both. MH and I were trying to come up with a better plan and I think I’m going to have to start working 3-11, that way she only has them for like 4 hours since they go to bed at 7-730, rather than a full 9hours.

End of one university term was last night and finals week of the other. If you need me I'll be in the corner buried in grading. We have a 48 hour grading deadline for the one that ended last night. Gets ridiculous so the boys areat daycare all day so I can work.

snowyowl, I go back tomorrow. Not excited. I did get out the pump and do a practice run and make my long list of stuff to bring. At the beginning I have to write every little thing down to keep my anxiety down about forgetting something. I did get about 4 oz in just a few minutes of pumping so that is promising. Pumping was hella hard for me to get what I needed with DS so I'm hoping for an easier time this go round. I also feel like I need to prep an idea for what I'll do with my classes....I've been teaching 15 years so I can sort of go on the fly but my brainpower isn't quite at 100% so I should plan a little. I've heard from the people teaching my classes for me so at least I know where they are. Funny thing is my AP kids are taking their final exam this week so I get to administer the rest of that instead of having to teach them. That is really good b/c of that limited brainpower thing I just mentioned. Then they take their AP exam next Tuesday and I get to do "fun" activities with them the rest of the semester. I make them research study abroad programs and do some other little projects that are enriching but lighter than the hard stuff they do all semester. I am looking forward to that!

I'm already looking forward to next weekend and I haven't even been into work. There is a multicultural festival on Saturday and we have 2 parties, one neighborhood party and one day care friend b-day party. Oh and DH will prob be working most of the weekend. But having fun stuff to do helps. He doesn't work much on the weekends. The wrench in the plans is we might be meeting up with DH's cousins but they aren't really a planning-type of family like me so I'm wishing they would nail down a plan on when we might see them. The multicultural festival is supposed to be in the park but always gets rained out somehow (the past 3 years at least) but this Saturday is supposed to be beautiful! Yum pupusas here I come.

Welp. School was canceled. The power was half out in the building and the gym had smoke it in, so they figure something shorted out. I’m annoyed. I got all the way there and I was ready to teach! Now we will probably have to add an extra day to the end of the year.

Yeah they will have the characters from super why, pj masks and of course super Grover. G generally doesn’t like costume characters but I’m hoping she will grow out of it. I keep trying.

After three straight weekends with MIL we won't see her for a month! I need a break from her neediness and suggestions on how to handle the baby. Friday we went to go see Avengers and had to split up babysitting between my parents and his parents. I called FIL's phone, MIL's phone and finally my work phone (which rings into the living room with caller ID on the tv screen) trying to get someone to answer. It took forever to get one of them to call me back because their phones were not with them. Dude, you don't babysit alone with a 3 month old and not have a phone nearby. I was pretty confident that everything was okay but answer your damn phones!!!! Also, MIL turns into an overly proud diva when people are around her and Faith. "Did you see our baby?" "I have a baby!" No, this isn't your baby, it is our baby but yes she is awesome... At our lunch/open house yesterday for Faith's baptism everyone ate lunch in one room EXCEPT for the ILs so when I sat down to eat I felt like I had to eat in there with them instead of with my family in the other room. Evidently her hip was hurting and she wanted to eat sitting on the couch... Whatever. This is where I get resentful (and this is totally my problem) that as long as they are alive and my sister lives nearby that the ILs will always be in our guestroom for events and my sister will host my parents. I can't bring myself to make them stay at a hotel (waste of money and I feel like the bad guy) but they do so very little to help host an event and my Mom would have worked her butt off and we would have been done in way less time. MIL spent Saturday taking 3 different naps and telling me where Faith should be sleeping. Then she spent Sunday telling everyone who would listen how busy the weekend has been. She is so emotionally needy!!!! Anyway, the open house went well and Faith got some beautiful gifts (which were unexpected and now I have to write thank you notes, ugh) and lots of people got to see her for the first time. I had enough food, cake and space. She was a trooper during church and with all the company. I'm happy that we have a few weeks of "normal" now before we go down to my parent's house for Mother's Day and Faith's first visit to where I grew up. Here is her baptism dress: And her baptism cap. This was DH's when he was a baby but he didn't use it because he was baptized at 1 year and it was too small. It is a hanky cap or something like that and if we cut a few threads it turns into a handerchief that can be her something old when she gets married. It is super sweet!

Morning!
Big day today, H will be working till late tonight and DS has his first ball practice in a neighboring town this evening. So I’ll be running us all there but luckily my mom said she’d meet us if she needed to be an extra hand on the field tonight!
So I’ll have the whole solo routine tonight after getting everyone riled up at ball practice, haha. I’m excited to see him get started though!
Hope everyone has a good one!

I'm keeping a whole spare set of pumping gear in my car in case we have a bomb threat or something and get kicked out of the building unexpectedly!

Morning!! Sorry for all the returns to work I hope everything goes smoothly and without anxiety for y’all! We had a busy weekend. My BIL has his police swear in and then we had to help him move so I’m glad to kinda be back in our regular routine. MH is probably working doubles again this week so that suckssss, and I can’t even look forward to a drink once the kids are in bed with starting this new dietbet 👎🏻 I’m also going to start the a little bit obsessed beach body program today while Maddox naps. FX he sleeps long enough for me to finish
