How is it already May tomorrow?!?
Also for those of you who else had an anterior placenta, when did you start to feel lots of movement? I'm 20 weeks, but this is my third, so it's just so nerve wracking to not be feeling it much at all yet.
And sorry, I know I'm kind of a broken record on this one.

Since...probably last week I've been feeling movement BUT it's usually not very strong and probably only once per day.

I finally tackled cleaning my car for the first time since winter and DD's room yesterday.
Like, I'm embarrassed by how bad it was. She had two full totes of clothes, a 3T and a 4T, already in her closet, and a closet/dresser full of 5T/5/XS (two totes). She wears a size 6. Then she had a huge tote of shoes she's outgrown over the last 5 years. And on each end of her closet are two wire bins screwed into the walls. On one side, it was completely full of crib sheets, towels/wash rags, and receiving blankets. I also pulled two totes of clothes up from the basement. The totes of 5s are tucked away in her closet because I'm sure there's still some stuff in her hamper once I get everything washed. I like, literally have zero idea how everything fit in her closet.
Luckily there are 3 girls younger than DD in the family so next weekend I'm passing down 4 totes of clothes and a giant tote of shoes. Eventually I'll pass down the 5s too lol.

I did find my pack-n-play sheets and the little pads I put on the changing table to save the covers from baby messes so that's a plus. I also found a 3-6 month Columbus Blue Jackets outfit that DD never wore so little dude already has his first Blue Jackets gear.

blurnette989 I'm no help really as I've never had an anterior placenta either, but I think a lot of ladies do in either the May/June or July/Aug BMBs here! I'm sorry it's causing you to feel worried. My guess for feeling more movement would at least 20+ weeks as the baby's bones begin to harden more and baby gets stronger 😊 Gotta be strong kicks to feel through that placenta! ftwr nice work!!! I have so much cleaning and organizing to do and I'm not looking forward to it.

tbirdlove - It feels so good to get her room done. It was stressing me out and making me anxious. I just had to do it. We still have A LOT to do between now and September so I feel you! lol

I just complained about it in the Weekly Check-in thread but I'm so sick, thanks to DS sharing his stomach bug from last week. I was starting to worry about how little liquid I've had the past couple days but I've gotten some ginger ale and a popsicle in so I'm holding off on calling the dr for now. About to grab another popsicle since the last one stayed down.

Nymeria I hope you feel better soon. I have an anterior placenta and felt sporadic movement at 20 weeks and now pretty regular movement when I’m laying down mostly. Definitely can’t feel a lot sitting or standing.

Monday's are seriously not my day lately. Long vent, so feel free to not read.
Another rough one. It actually started out fine but I took the girls to the zoo to meet with two friends, one is the family that is moving. As soon as we got there my daughter just started struggling. And she loves the zoo! Whining, crying, being mean and rude and running off. That's not her normal behavior but has been having rough days like that off and on for months. She constantly wanted me to hold her, which is really hard on my knees normally, let alone pregnant. We lasted maybe 20 mins and she kept screaming about wanting pants so I finally grabbed some out of my bag then screamed and cried when I put them on. I literally grabbed both kids by the hands and ran out of there and didn't even get to really say goodbye. We were all in tears. I was embarrassed and just so defeated. I had a good little cry when I got to the car too.
Then I ran home to grab my check book to pay rent and ran back to car, still frustrated, and swung open the SUV door hard and fast into my forehead. I got rocked so hard. I have no idea how it didn't split open because it hit at an angle. I bawled my eyes out and the poor kids are so concerned with me. My head hurts so bad that when I move my eyebrows at all or lean over, I'm in pain. This is going to leave a mark.
Y'all I'm a hot mess. I just need to stay in bed on Monday's.

I feel you pixiepink24. Today was super rough for me too. My kids at school were awful, my DD tried to run repeatedly into the road at the park, I had to sit on her to get her strapped into the stroller when I made us leave the park after 10 minutes, and she screamed and threw all her dinner on the floor. She also climbs everything and climbed into her stroller and flipped it and smacked her face on the concrete. When my husband got home all I could do was cry and go sit by myself. I want today to be over already.

pixiepink24, brenna I'm so sorry for the rough days. Toddlers are so frustratingly unpredictable sometimes. I too lost my patience with my DS last night and cried. I hope today is better.

pixiepink24 we can absolutely blame it on those things! Although, mostly it's probably just that toddlers can be pretty big jerks sometimes 😉

For real though, this age is so hard right now for me. DD doesn't listen, she's a runner and a climber and I'm so worried about when I'm huge this summer trying to keep her safe. I don't think we'll be able to go many places because I won't be fast enough to catch her.

brennaI feel you on this! So much! I'm really struggling at this age for DD. She will be 3 in July. The tantrums, the strong opinions, the stubbornness, the not knowing what they actually want, the talking back because they have no idea yet what it really means to be rude or disrespectful but just copying us....ugh! I just can't. Yes, it's nice that they have their independence and you can have conversations with them and such, but damn, it's fucking hard. I'd actually take the needy, non sleeping infant stage over this any day.

Anatomy scan went well this morning! We still don't know the sex and apparently he or she has a "gorgeous" heart 😊. I teach science so I always love getting to see all the parts of the body up close (even though on an ultrasound I can't always tell what I'm looking at) but seeing the 4 chambers of the heart makes the scientist in me very happy. 🙂

Is anyone else dealing with frustration with maternity clothes? I'm finding it challenging to find anything in stores around me either in styles I like or just in sizes that I can try on. I was thinking today that it's ridiculous that several stores don't carry any of there maternity line in stores because when bodies are changing so much it's even more important to be able to try the clothes on.

knittyYessss!!!! But I think the biggest problem I'm having is that I am only buying second hand or consignment. Everyone is selling size small and I am NOT a small. Or by the time I message them, they sold what I want. And then the consignment shops usually have Large or XL or things that I would never wear! Plus I'm a SAHM, I don't need cute work clothes. I'm needing summer dresses, shorts, tees, and tanks! Also, I hate that everything is horizontal stripes! Wtf?! Don't you think we already feel like we look big?

So, I had asked my OB at my last appointment if I should avoid reading my anatomy scan "results" on my online patient portal in case they include the sex of the baby in the report. She said they don't USUALLY include that unless there is an issue where the information is necessary. I figured I should probably avoid reading it anyways to be safe. So today I asked her if she wouldn't mind contacting me with the "results" so that I wouldn't have to go into the portal.... And she said she'd absolutely do that and it's strange because the last two weeks the ultrasound lab HAS been including the sex in all the reports!! I'm so glad I asked again!!! Oh man...... But how am I gonna be able to stay away from that damn portal for the next 20 weeks?! 😂

knitty, I also find maternity clothes kinda frustrating. Just in general. I want some cute pieces, but I hate spending the money on things I can only wear for a few months. And I agree there's not much selection in most stores. I'm hoping that I can make it through a decent amount of the summer in some of my existing loose, flowy tank tops and dresses.

pixiepink24 I'd prefer to be able to buy second hand, but I'm venturing away from that somewhat just because I don't have the patience to wade through the clothes. Last pregnancy I wasn't teaching yet and I didn't need cute work clothes, I got away with t-shirts mostly. This time, being at school, I need to be a little more intentional with what I get. tbirdlove I'm sending you strength to not peek at the portal! I think I might find that too tempting.

tbirdlove knitty pixiepink24 I totally share in the maternity clothes frustration. I’m carrying bigger this time so I’m finding it hard to get away with anything non maternity. I hate how so much of it is floral patterns, that is so nms. I actually have had some success ordering from old navy recently. My store doesn’t carry it I store so I order online , returns are easy so it’s fine with me. I’ve found that I need to size down with old navy but the prices are great.

With maternity clothes I've found I just have to order a ton of stuff in numerous sizes, then return most of it. I went into one store and they had literally 2 maternity items on a rack as their "maternity section".

Yeah I’ve totally made peace with online returns. I hate trying stuff on in the store anyway so *shrug*

I always order a ton online then return what I don't want. I'd rather try everything on at home and make a quick stop at the store to return things instead of walking around a store trying to find stuff.
