1. How many weeks/months PP are you? What is your weight loss goal? By when? I'm 11 weeks pp. I don't have a weight loss goal as I'm below pp weight and at a good weight for myself but want to tone up/be more active. 2. What program(s) are you planning to use to get there? Do you want to be matched with an accountability partner? I was going to do Bikini Body Mommy again since I've done the 6.0 before but I decided to start with Yoga first so that it might help my moods. I'm doing the Yoga With Adrienne 30 day challenge. Accountability partners are always great. 3. What supplies (bras, yoga mats, or weights, etc) do you need to purchase or find in the garage? (oh- just me? ). What yummy but healthy foods are on your grocery list for this first week? I need to find a good bra at some point. I've got lots of different veggies on the meal plan this week, I tend to get stuck in a rut and eat the same ones all the time. I made carrot cauliflower puree over the weekend and remembered how much I really like it. 4. What out of the box idea(s) do you have for squeezing in a bit of extra exercise throughout the day? Squats during diaper changes or morning walks? I'm hoping to take the baby for walks in the stroller after work while DS1 rides his bike. My work also has a small workout room so I'm planning on spending 15 minutes a day in there on the treadmill. 5. Questions or Comments for the group?

I just spent $326 on groceries. Eating healthy is not cheap. Wait—why?? How many weeks worth of food is that?

right!??! Just one So much produce. So Much. Girl where are you shopping?? I do $70 weekly at most! That's incredible. Our normal bill is about $200. This week I had to make a fruit salad for a party and I think that plus extra food for the diet put us over. My toddler and I have huge appetites. MH eats at work for breakfast and lunch (luckily it is free) so that's not even included! 🙈🙈

I suppose I’m very boring lol, like I plan the same thing for dinner all week long & switch it the next week. So we only need to buy things for one dinnertime meal & bc it’s all week long I can buy it in bulk & save. Like last week was salmon fillets with green beans & rice. So $7 for the pack of frozen salmon fillets, $4 for the big bag of GB, and $2 for the brown rice. So like $13-15 for the entire week of dinners.

We spend $25 on a filet of salmon that lasts one dinner and usually has enough left for a lunch for the toddler and I. Do you shop at the px?

You have to order a day in advance so it helps me to stick to my list & not buy extra stuff. I’m still probably saving compared to the commissary bc of the gas & time (it’s a 20 min drive there vs 5 min to Walmart).

To buy enough salmon filets even just for MH and I for a week of dinner is... Not $7. Wow!!

Where I live the weather is really good most of the year so produce is usually pretty cheap.

Checking in! 1. How many weeks/months PP are you? What is your weight loss goal? By when? 12 weeks PP; I'd like to get down to 135 eventually. I was 145 or so when we conceived V (I had gotten down to around 135 after DS but a couple of losses inched my weight up over the course of a few months.) No rush and it might not all come off until after weaning anyway. I'm usually about a size 4 at that weight so I'd like to get down to a size 6 sooner rather than later so I can get into some more of my clothes. I'm in about an 8 now and I'm probably in the 150s at this point. 2. What program(s) are you planning to use to get there? Do you want to be matched with an accountability partner? Right now, I'm doing Adriene's True program, but only about twice a week. She makes me strong! I am also running about 10 mpw. I hope to continue both of those now that I'm back to work (today is my first day...) Then over the summer I plan to continue some yoga and running and probably add Bikini Body Mommy workouts. There is a cool 10K around here in November that I want to run. I did my first PP 5K a few weeks ago, just to do it, not to race it of course. I'm running slowly these days for sure. 3. What supplies (bras, yoga mats, or weights, etc) do you need to purchase or find in the garage? (oh- just me? ). What yummy but healthy foods are on your grocery list for this first week? I do need to find some dumbbells. If we don't have them, I'll buy some. I am doing a yummy salad for lunches this week: mixed greens, quinoa and balsamic vinaigrette plus whatever nuts/dried fruit I can find in the cupboard. Pozole for dinner tonight. I like to cook healthy food in general with lots of fresh veggies. 4. What out of the box idea(s) do you have for squeezing in a bit of extra exercise throughout the day? Squats during diaper changes or morning walks? Nothing special but I do like getting out with the kids for walks. DS is still good in the stroller at 2.5, I think b/c we use it a lot. I do bring him snacks all the time. 5. Questions or Comments for the group? none at this time Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/post/new/14910#ixzz5EGgw5LNO
