I don't fit into most of these threads, and I'm about to lose what little bit if sanity I have left.
H and I are planning a weekend getaway in DC. Plans keep changing and having a 2.5 year old, planning is essential.

Is this where I post that I'm sad about how everything has gone down?
I don't like the way TCF was handled, I don't like the way SM was handled. I don't like the way people are digging in and trying to justify some really petty behavior. I used to be really proud of the community we've built, but now, not so much. I hope we get back to those days.

Also, my kids have been jerks and not sleeping, so running off 1-2 hours of uninterrupted sleep for 5 nights now is really not helping anything. I'd probably be bitching about the quality of commercials on TV.

The baby woke up at 5:30 and I am just dead tired. The older boys are sleeping and I'm lounging. When they wake up I'll make breakfast.

@katechristine, I'm not at all saying that leaving TCF was the wrong move.
There is just a lot of things that could have been handled better.
Regardless, I have mixed feelings about being part of a group that destroyed an online community, whether or not it was faltering, whether or not it met TCF standards. I think the racism issue was just the straw that broke the camels back, it wasn't the root of the problem. SM was a cluster fuck on so many different fronts. Honestly, if anyone had followed the same rules people on TCF try to promote - lurk a little and know the culture before you post - it would have gone a lot differently.

I wish people wouldn't come to my cube and wait for me to notice them when I am busy it creeps me out to see someone standing there out of the corner of my eye. It makes me think of brux hiding in bushes watching people. |

It is finally starting to feel like spring, about time! And I just enrolled DD in gymnastics camp for the summer holiday, she is going to love it and get rid of some of her crazy energy and I will have some peace and quiet. I'm already looking forward to it!

I had errands to run so MIL and FIL came over to watch the kids. I finished my errands 40mins ago and have been sitting in sbux enjoy my coffee since.

I'm going to a mlb game tonight. Baseball is meh but I'm all about the splurge that is stadium food. I'm trying to decide what I'll eat there. So many unhealthy decisions.

I'm sooooo tired. I took the kids to school and then came back and slept until 12:30. I can't keep doing this. I feel like I could lay down and go back to sleep for the rest of the day too.

I don't think there is an "accurate" view on the whole scenario. I'm not stating it as an absolute fact, just that it's the way it feels to me and that I feel badly about it. Calling it something different isn't going to make me feel any differently about it.
