Hey everyone!
I've been here since TB, made the switch to TCF, and have mostly been on the politics board since moving to HIH, but now MH and I are ready to TFAS! Our DD just turned 2. We also had a loss with a previous pregnancy about 17 weeks in. Because of health insurance/employment complications, we have a pretty narrow window of a few months this spring where we can TTC before having to wait another year or so. I'm feeling more pressured than I was before.
So here's my question...
I started charting again last month, but I accidentally bought a prenatal with chaste berry in it. I thought it was just as well, as it would help extend my luteal phase, which is only 9-11 days, but it gave me HORRIBLE insomnia and I didn't ovulate last cycle (I used to ovulate on CD19) - just never saw a temp spike AT ALL. I stopped taking it after just 8 days and have been back on a regular prenatal for about 5 weeks. Now I'm on CD21 of another cycle and again, I still haven't seen a temp spike to indicate I've ovulated.
Is there something I might be doing wrong, or any advice you all might have?
It's good to be back!

Hi and welcome!
I'm very new to charting and temping, but have you been doing an OPK at all?

Hi and welcome! I'm very new to charting and temping, but have you been doing an OPK at all? I haven't, just bc I didn't the last two times I got pregnant, but it's probably worth a shot. I just thought even if my chart was uneven and wonky, I'd see *some* spike above the coverline at some point. But it's just... nothing.

I would maybe do OPKs the next cycle in addition to the temping. Have you recently changed your thermometer? I think I would personally get one more cycles and see if you get any signs of O, and if not I would be calling my Dr to see about some bloodwork.

Hi, welcome! Trying to think of things to rule out - are you nursing?

Welcome!
What have your cycles looked like over the past 2 years? Are they pretty regular? Do you get fertile CM?

Thanks everyone! Tlex, I weaned my DD almost a year ago, so not nursing. charliefox, my cycles have been regular, about 30-32 days, though my period was 5 days long before having a baby and is now more like 7 days long.

Welcome! Do you have a chart you can link or post? Sometimes a visual helps:) I agree with remi about trying the OPKs. See of you're getting a surge or at least see if your lines are getting darker. If you have another cycle or two where you can't confirm O I would see about making an appointment. Nothing you're doing wrong but sometimes our bodies decide to screw with us. I got KU twice using only OPKs. No temping. So I'm a big supporter of OPKs. I am temping now but the temps just confirm what the OPKs tell me:)

Welcome, adorebel. You probably won't recognise me, but I have a J15 LO. I am so sorry for your loss. I find the loss boards here helpful, although there isn't a lot of activity. I hope your stay here is short. Since you have a relatively short window of opportunity. I concur with the recommendation of OPKs. I've never managed to temp successfully - the stress gave me insomnia. We were using OPKs when we conceived L and I'm planning on beginning again this cycle. More information can only be useful at this stage!

Thanks for replying, everyone! I just got a (surprise) job offer, so I will have to put off TTC again for a few months at least. But I will buy some OPKs for sure. It seems like that could take some of the stress off. I had my progesterone tested and my doctor says it's on the lower end of normal, so if my cycle is every 30-32 days, I'm probably ovulating. Hope to see you all again soon-ish!
