I'm feeling terrible, as you can imagine. I'm going to the Dr today, so I'm hopeful I get some answers other than, your getting old or this just happens, etc. But physically the cramps aren't terrible and my last cp passed with the "period" only lasting a few days, so I hope for the same this time.
Thinking of everyone.

Oh Yogurt I just can't even imagine the disappointment and frustration. I hope your doctor has some answers for you.

I'm still trucking along. I've had my hopes set on a January EDD from the start so I know I'll be disappointed this month despite the fact that I'm not expecting it to happen this month. I just really want it to. Especially with the EDD being DD's birthday. If I'm not pregnant before September I know I'll be really discouraged. Which is why I'm focusing on myself and health goals etc. This is going to sound super vain but if I'm not pregnant by summer then I need to be back in a bikini. I need to be able to feel good about something.

I just really, really want to be pregnant by one of my loss edds, 9/23 and 12/25ish My EDD was a few weeks back. I wanted to be pregnant by then too but it didn't work out that way. I'm hoping at least September is a reasonable goal.

Yogurt - I was just lurking on the TTC board and saw your question about HPTs and starting progesterone. Many (maybe all?) REs will have you start progesterone after you confirm O - so you don’t have to worry about testing super early. Also, FWIW, my RE didn’t even test for progesterone anymore. She said the numbers can vary wildly even within the same day so they just put all patients on it as a can’t hurt/might help precaution. ETA: also big hugs. I’m sorry this has been such a shitty path for you. I remember how much I wanted to be pregnant by my EDD, too. Everything crossed for you.

Sending so many positive thoughts to you sammysam. I’m hoping so hard that this is your cycle.

caer That is interesting. My RE doesn’t do progesterone supplementing unless a blood draw comes back low. As soon as I had a normal number, we stopped testing it. Yogurt I am so sorry for your loss. sammysam I am also trying to focus on me and stop letting TTC consume my life. Easy for me to say that as I am wto right now and don’t go crazy until 7 dpo or so! AFM, I have my monitoring appointment tomorrow to see how my follicles are doing and hopefully will trigger shortly after. I am getting tired of the meds and the doctors appointments and have been contemplating going back to just trying on our own, but I’m doing at least two more cycles with the RE and will reevaluate after that.

Yogurt, I hope you get a successful bfp by your loss date. I really want that for you. sammysam, every month I'm praying for it to be your month. Good luck with the exercise and weight loss! That's a great goal to work towards. obscureference, crossing all my fingers for tomorrow's appointment. I'm not too bad. The better weather is improving my state of mind no end! I'm probably going to have to start insulin injections, and continue them until the end of a successful pregnancy. I knew I'd have to start injecting when I got pregnant but I'm a bit depressed about an unknown length of time before a bfp. It's not hard but my fingers get rough and sore from the blood sugar checks, and I get fabulous bruises on my stomach from the injections. It will be worth it if we get to take home a healthy baby! I am still waiting for more results. I'm seeing a gynaecologist next week to see if there is anything that can be done about my horrendous periods. I'll call my GP in the morning too see if he's heard anything back about the other tests. Waiting is hard, but again, I want to be as healthy as possible going into pregnancy, especially since my pregnancies are high risk even before you consider my age and multiple losses. I'm definitely feeling my age right now. H will be forty in three and a half weeks, I'll be forty-one in seven weeks and L will be three in seven and a half weeks. We're all getting old!

I hope you guys don’t mind me popping in here since we’re not TTC. Both of my BMBs moved to private boards but the >35 community is important to me. I’m cheering so hard for every one of you.
AFM, nothing too exciting. Both boys are sweet and fun. I’m taking the 4 year old to an indoor water park in May for a few nights and I’m looking forward to spending some solo time with him. I’m also looking to a warmer weather so we can finally do some outside activities. Longest winter and coldest spring ever!

caer You never have to ask! You're always welcome and we love having you here! A water park sounds fun. Does your DS swim on his own already? DD refuses to get in the water without her puddle jumpers since she tried it once and sunk and I had to pull her up. Which sucks because I NEED HER TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM ON HER OWN. We live on a boat all summer and I'm constantly terrified she is going to fall in without a life jacket on.

We spend some time in Maine each year and the house is right on the water, plus we have a boat there. So I feel you. Have you done swimming lessons yet? We haven’t and really need to do it soon! It’s just always been a timing issue but we need to suck it up and make it work.

I've been trying to get her to take lessons but she refuses to do any type of class unless I do it with her:/ So right now I'm trying to find someone who will allow me in the pool with her while they teach. Yeah. That's my kid. We had to switch dance classes and gymnastics classes too when she refused to go into the studio and the gym on her own. Even if I'm sitting right outside the door and she can see me through a viewing window. If I'm not in the room with her she refuses to even go in. She just cries and clings to me. But she NEEDS to learn to swim. She's been in the water since she was just a few months old and she's a great swimmer with the wings. Gah. And how does a 4 year old manage to have all the power here???

The 4 year old lessons are without parents here, too, and it’s one of my issues as well. DS doesn’t care about me being there but he’s a very impulsive kid and I don’t necessarily trust him to listen to the instructor. I wish the parent free lessons started at an older age!

If you really want your kids to learn to swim, look into ISR technique. I have no idea if they would have it in Canada, but where I live (pools everywhere), it is the preferred method. I will warn you that it does involve crying and it’s pretty painful (for the parents) for about a week. But the results are amazing and swimming is really a life skill that everyone should have. My almost 6 year old is an amazing swimmer. My almost 4 year old is going for his second round this summer and I expect that he will pick it back up quickly.
Otherwise, my advice is to ditch the puddle jumpers. They will never learn to swim while using a flotation device! The puddle jumpers actually teach really bad swimming habits!

obscureference I totally agree! We only have them because she has to have a life jacket on all summer and she became dependant. My family is very swimming oriented with some olympic swimmers in it so I HATE that I can't get her out of the puddle jumper. I could teach her myself if I could get her to go in the water without them. We all learned by being thrown off the end of the dock when we were little:/
