Hey guys! So I need some new shoes for work. I’m an optometrist, so something semi dressy/professional looking is ideal. I’m looking for something in black or like a camel coloured leather, flat or low heel. Ideally something I can slip on. I like to wear flats with bare feet sometimes, but then my feet get sweaty and gross. Do shoes that don’t do this exist? I have these: www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/2332030/ugg-izabel-mar-ankle-strap-flat?color=BLKThey’re really comfortable and I like be them, but the wrap is too fiddley now because, pregnant. I need some new ideas. Does anyone have anything like this that you love?

I got these years ago for work and I love them. They've held up very well and are not smelly after however many years of often wearing them barefoot. I don't know if they even make this style anymore, but check out the brand Via Spiga. m.shop.nordstrom.com/s/via-spiga-odessa-flat/3197449

I tired these on at Nordstrom rack the other day, very comfy! I wish I’d bought them...https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/frye-carson-ballet-flat/423281?cm_mmc=CSE-_-GPS-_-G_Shopping_Flats-_-New_Flats&cadevice=m&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7a-H6ufM2gIVVz2BCh36rgtDEAQYCyABEgIjk_D_BwE#exp4_prev_back_true
ETA Well I don’t think that’s a clickable link, but they’re Frye Carson flats.

I'm no help because I wear shitty shoes. Basically I wear knockoff Toms from Target, flip flops, Vans, or my combat boots. That's it. I wouldn't know a good shoe.

+1 to the Frye Carson flats! Also, I have been going back and forth on trying Rothys ( rothys.com). I’m not sure if they are dressy enough for all occasions, but I figure if there is a time to try it, it’s while I’m pregnant and the rules of dress are relaxed (like, I don’t try to squeeze into blazers, even for jury trials). I also find the prospect of throwing them in the washing washing to be super intriguing.

wisco oooh I’d never heard of Rothys but now I’m intrigued by those too! I’m a tad worried about the sweat factor knowing they’re made from recycled water bottles, but according to some reviews they’re pretty breathable.

I live in my $20 S.O. flats from Kohls, my Nike flip flops, and my running sneakers that I don't run in that I got super discount at DSW.

I wore flip flops to work 5 days a week for the last few months because pregnant + summer + swelling = literally nothing else fit. Thankfully no one cared. Or they did but kept their mouth shut!

I did the same last time, started the foot swelling at like 6 months. Ended up having to buy a pair of Bear Paws (ie FUGGS) in November because it was too cold for flip flops and nothing else would comfortably fit my giant swollen bread loaf feet.
