Westworld is back tomorrow. I’m excited but it’s a bit of a complex show and I’ve forgotten a fair amount. The year gap is too long but I think it’ll pay off with quality.

Yay! I liked the podcast decoding west world. Not that you’ll have time to listen to them all before tomorrow, but I think there’s a season wrap up show.

I'm so pumped! I'll have to watch on Monday though. +1 But I'll be reading all of the recaps 30 min after it airs Sunday. My TV fomo is serious.

I'm so happy my parents have HBO so I can use their HBOGo login. It's the best.
I watched all the episodes in a few days. Such a compelling premise.

I liked episode 1. I need some time to digest thoughts but I have one big question. Did I miss something? What’s the Bernard timeline? He’s hiding in the barn with Delos lady first right? And then they escape and go to her secret underground lair. When does he wash up on the beach? Is that stuff after this? are we not supposed to know or did I miss something?

I forgot too much so it’s confusing for me, I should’ve read recaps before watching. Barn Bernard is before, the night of the massacre. I don’t get why he was found in the water, maybe the explanation comes later? Do the people that found him know he’s a host? I missed some dialogue so that doesn’t help. Who is the guy asking Bernard what happened at the party?

Hahaha. My husband was all “I remember everything!”
Ten minutes in...
“Okay, I don’t remember.”
I have mixed feelings on how this season could play out based on the premiere. I know they mapped out five or six seasons worth of episodes so they’re going somewhere. I did like that we confirmed there other worlds besides The West. Sending Peter Abernathy off site might be the stupidest fucking thing ever and the largest plot device ever so here’s hoping he didn’t make it. I love that the humans think Bernard is human. I was happy to see Little Ford but disliked how he was Anthony Hopkin’s “mouth” as it were. Happy to see William. Happy to see Dolores but distressed by Teddy’s reaction to everything..
See? Muddled. But really - can we have more plot and less massacre next episode? Thanks.

They really changed up the intro sequence. I was surprised how much it has changed.
If anyone hasn't notices, they changed the figure to a women instead of a man.
Plus the featuring of a mother and infant?!

The figures in the sequence seem to parallel Mae. Last season was two people having sex (Mae did a lot of that); now it’s a woman and baby (Mae’s after he daughter this season).

This show makes me feel really dumb LOL. I love it but I have the hardest time following and understanding wtf is happening and I did not catch any of the twists last season before they happened or until I read articles about theories and what not. But I love it and will keep watching and reading. Maybe my brain will click on one day with this show.

But I really hope they keep up with the complicated scripts and very little foreshadowing. That's what made the show exciting. I like a show that makes me pay attention to the details.

I love it, it captivates my attention, and occasionally I pick up on something but 8/10 times I’m like huh?!? Then I read articles and go over the episode again and I’m like ohhhhh

Ok, that clarification makes sense. I was still cleaning the kitchen during the very beginning so I guess I missed some expository dialogue. I also missed or don’t remember what happened to the techs that were helping Mae last season. They left the park/show? Teddy looked like he was just smiling and nodding through Delolore’s monologuing. I feel like she’s going to outgrow him in a hot minute. Love the Bernard and Mae storylines best. Better than the Dolores stuff.

I enjoyed it but definitely should have brushed up on last season before watching it. I'd forgotten who Peter Abernathy was until I read joy 's post, and when Charlotte said the name, I assumed we'd find out who that is later.
Also, welcome to Season 2 -- here's a full-on dick shot for your troubles!

I am very intrigued after just one episode. Young Robert claiming this is now for William, the timelines being mixed through the episode (which will only get more confusing, I'm sure), DELOS using the DNA of its guests... so fucking good.
Only Robert and Teresa knew Bernard was a host, and we all remember what happened to Teresa.
