So we found out last Friday we are having a boy. I was convinced this was a girl so I have no boy names lined up. H and I don't agree on basically anything.
Our first boy is Silas. Our daughter that passed is Addison. We like long "formal" names that can be shortened into NN's. Even though Silas isn't long we still call him Si more than half the time. The babies MN will be Matthew (as is S's). We have a long last name that can be a mouthful with a looong first name.
My short list is:
Aiden Caleb (h said no) Landon Eli Quinn (h hates)
H likes maybe one of those names. His style and mine are not the same at all. I find a lot of his suggestions ridiculous. We have about 21 weeks to fight about this. 
Anyone have any brilliant suggestions? |

I love Caleb. Get your h on board with that one somehow. Right? I like that Caleb and Silas are both biblical (not that it matters to us) but I need them to be the same "kind" of name if that makes sense. I can't name this baby Henry or something. It doesn't match. |

I love Elliott and Emmett. <3 Um, both are amazing with Silas. I love Caleb too. If it weren’t my brother’s name I probably would have used it. I love the suggestion of Calvin! Everett comes to mind too. |

My boss has twins. Silas and Calvin. She might think I was a total freak if we had both boys the same. But I didn’t know her when I named Si.

Declan - I wanted this name but by H vetoed it
Ryder - also a name i wanted to use but couldn't as it didn't mesh with our last name...

If my DH had tried this with Tessa (his fav name that I vetoed), I probably would have ended up hating it rather than just disliking it. If he hated every name you gave him then I would say circle back to it, but if it's one or two names, he has a right to a "naming style." |

Suggestions: Abram Leander Reuben Graeme Tristan Wynn I'm not sure if they "match" but I find that's more personal. Good luck! DH & I never settled on a boy's name. Wynn was the name we went to the hospital with but I'm not if it would have made it to the birth certificate.  |
