Has anyone heard of the supposed correlation between fetal heart rate and the sex of the baby? Apparently heart rates >140 are more common in girls and <140 is more common in boys. Has this been true for anyone in previous pregnancies?
My DD’s HR was usually between 140-145, we were team green. This babe has been at 150 for my last 2 appointments and we’ll find out the sex next week.
I know the science behind this is probably not very strong but I though it might be a fun thing to talk about.

I've heard of this. An acquaintance of ours has six kids (!) and says this was true with all of them! I don't remember what DS's HR usually was. Last I heard this babe's I think it was in the low 140s.

DD's was in the 140s from what I can remember. DS's is currently in the 150-160s right now. It may drop as he grows though.

I'll have to make a note of it at my next appointment, I was so excited and relieved during the ultrasound I didn't pay attention to the HR, just that there was one.

My crazy boys always had higher than 140 and so does this little girl. I think I just have crazy active babies.

I've heard of it but I assume like all other old wives tales there's a 50/50 chance of it working.
Last u/s this guy was in the 160's and he's a boy so wrong for me. I'm pretty sure it was wrong for DS1 too.

With our first her HR was always around 160 turned out to be a girl. With our second his HR was 170 at the 8week ultrasound and it’s a boy. Sooooo... I can’t say it was right in predicting for me.

I've heard that the over/ under 140 is only somewhat accurate at a certain gestational age (I think it was around 8-10 weeks) but I think it's probably an old wives tale. I think dd's heart rate was always around 140 and this one was 150-180 ish so maybe another girl? Haha

It was true for me early on so with my DS he was like 130 at first appointment and then usually around 160 during checkups. This baby was higher early on just over 140 and now has settled in at usually 160+ and it’s a boy.

No dice here. HB was very high this time around (185 at first) and it’s a boy.
