I had my A/S this morning. The baby was measuring perfectly fine and was moving around. They were being stubborn and we couldn't really get a good face shot. Anyway, it appears that as of right now I placenta previa. The doctor said that it's likely it'll move as my uterus expands. We'll do another ultrasound at the beginning of 3rd tri. BUT. Do any of you guys have any experience with it? The internet makes it seem a little serious if it doesn't move.
Also, we're team blue!!

No experience with that specifically but I did have a low lying placenta that my perinatologist kept a close eye on. It did move a little so I was able to have a vaginal birth. It also caused some spotting and bleeding through my pregnancy.
Congrats on a good A/S and team blue!

ftwr Congratulations on Team Blue!!! I don't have personal experience with placenta previa, but I have a friend who's going through the same thing right now - she must be about 24-25 weeks. Her Dr said the same, that they'll follow up with it throughout her pregnancy and see if it moves out of the way on it's own as she grows. If it doesn't move enough a c/s delivery may likely be necessary. But you've still got plenty of time and growing for the placenta to move to a more favorable position! I wouldn't freak out about it this early 😊 Google always makes things sound more frightening than necessary. Hugs!

I had placenta previa with M. My dr told me the same thing. Could be no big deal and would most likely move. I got 2 extra ultrasounds to check the position. We were going to make a decision after my 36 week ultrasound but fortunately it had moved enough. My dr put me on pelvic rest until I was cleared and told me to go to the doctor for any bleeding. Luckily we had a very uneventful pregnancy.

Congrats on Team Blue!!
Sorry for the placenta previa - no experience personally but the people I know IRL who have been diagnosed with it all had their placentas move enough out of the way as their uterus grew. Try not to worry too much right now, and +1 stay away from Google!! You have plenty of time for it to move out of the way.

Congrats on team blue and especially on a healthy baby try not to stress about the previa. It will be nice to have a couple extra opportunities to see baby, and chances are great that the previa will resolve itself.

I've had several friends have a partial prévia move and go on to have vaginal births. One friend d had a complete prévia that never moved enough and she had a scheduled C-section that was also average and uneventful. My understanding is that there are slightly higher risks of bleeding but for the vastmajority of people it is a-ok.

Congratulations on a healthy boy! I feel like this group has a lot of boys on the way!
No experience with the previa, but I’m glad that the prognosis sounds good and that they will watch you and the bean closely!

Congratulations on team blue!!
I had complete previa with DS1, and was put on pelvic rest and couldn’t fly to our planned babymoon because of the bleeding risk. But it moved in plenty of time for an uncomplicated vaginal birth. The vast majority do move!

No placenta previa advice, but I’ve been reading all the advice you’ve been getting because it’s all good to know and be aware of. Hope it resolves on it’s own for you.
Congratulations on your healthy baby!
