GTKY: What is your ideal bedroom temperature? In the winter we keep the house at 60 overnight. I find it easier to sleep when it's cold. Plus we have oil heat and an old house and it's f-ing expensive. In the summer we just have window a/cs and i think we usually keep them at 75. however, when 3rd-trimester pregnant i get really hot and basically want the room to be like an icebox. DH loves it bc he's always hot.

When is your due date? How far along are you?: 9/1. 20w 3d.
How big is baby?: 15 oz!
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: 4th
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know?: GREEN!! I stayed strong today and didn't find out!
Any Upcoming Appointments?: Had my anatomy scan today.
Symptoms: reflux has started.
Milestones: halfway!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Everything looked good today. The tech couldn't get a good look at the spine but there were no other indicators of neural tube defects so we're likely in the clear. But, of course, that was my one concern that I was hoping to relieve today. Another scan in 4 weeks to see if they can get a better look. Anterior placenta confirmed, but I already knew that based on lack of movement.
GTKY: What is your ideal bedroom temperature? On the warmer side even though I cuddle with a down comforter. I don't want to be cold when I get up and don't worry about overheating.

My skin is starting to get insanely dry and my normal lotion is not cutting it. Can anyone recommend a good lotion for dry skin?
GTKY: What is your ideal bedroom temperature? In the summer, we keep it on 70-71 and have our ceiling fan on. In winter, we keep it at around 67.

sasam you can make an appointment now to meet with them. It's important to find someone that you trust and feel comfortable with. I believe I was like 6 months when I chose mine.

sasam, I really like the Palmer's cocoa butter lotion. Plus I smell like chocolate all day. I asked around for pediatrician recommendations from friends - we basically have two big pediatrician groups in town, so it's a matter of who takes your insurance, then who you like best. My pediatrician leads the campaign for vaccination within their group, so I'm all in!

sasam, +1 pick one now! they will have you come in for a free meeting to talk to them and ask questions. in our area they don't come to the hospital after birth (there is a hospital pediatrician that does the initial exam), but the first appointment is generally when LO is 3 days old, so you definitely want to have it all set up well in advance. i like coconut oil or apricot kernel oil for moisturizing. neither of them leaves a sticky residue. make sure you lotion up right after you get out of the shower while your skin is still damp.

I'm new here and just intro'd but I thought I'd jump in here too:
When is your due date? How far along are you?: 8/25, 21+5
How big is baby?: a least weasel, according to Ovia. I like weasels.
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know?: Blue
Any Upcoming Appointments?: nope, I'm in a lull - nothing for 2 weeks
Symptoms: Honestly I feel pretty great, just some mild insomnia and joint discomfort.
Milestones: starting to feel LOTS of movement, which is fun and keeps it all real
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: I had a really stressful day at work yesterday and wanted a cocktail SO BADLY.
GTKY: What is your ideal bedroom temperature? 66-68. I like to be cozy but not sweaty under a down comforter. My DH likes to be boiling (72ish) so we have difficulty compromising sometimes. I'm a New Englander and he's from Texas which explains everything.

sasam, With my first, I asked around and when I have several recs for the same practice, I scheduled a meet and greet around 33 weeks. I probably should have done it earlier because I was actually supposed to be on bed rest when we met the pediatrician because of a preterm labor scare.
