guster I’m so sorry about your aunt. And I hate family situations like that, it’s the worst. Dh got back late Friday night, and we survived!! I’m very happy he’s home and we had a good long talk and cry about Charlie and I think we’re both feeling closure now. The weather here is beautiful, it’s actually cooled down to the 80s so we walked to and from school and will be going to the park later. I cannot believe the snow some of you guys are getting, it’s April!!’

guster I'm so very sorry. Big hugs and go easy on yourself, and just remember, times like this can sometimes bring out the worst in people; if a relative does 'lash out' or give you a hard time, it's likely motivated by grief and not a personal thing.

I’m here, I’m here! Thanks for thinking of me 😘 I’ve had some busy mornings at work the past couple weeks so having a hard time trying to jump in. We’re also finally having our house painted this week so I’ve been living on Pinterest and the sherwin Williams store. I miss everyone and the updates. Oh fun! Painting all of the inside of your house, are you just changing it form the builders colours? Yes and yes. The builder only did a stock off-white through the whole house.

Hi all. Busy morning, C and I hit the post office, mall, and Barnes and Noble while B was at school, then stopped for new Nike's for him on the way home. Mission accomplished: he is the proud new owner of "cool new running shoes"...in size 1!!! I was shocked, but the 13's didn't seem any bigger than the 12's he's been wearing, which were definitely about outgrown. I'm telling myself it's just this particular style and he's not *really* in a single digit size

guster I hope your call to your aunt brightened up her day. I am sure it is hard to deal with family dynamics during this time. You are doing a great job reaching out to her and to the family. I would try and brush of your cousins comment.

guster maybe I'm an insensitive jerk but I think it was kind of weird of your cousin's H to be upset about it and then bring it up that much later. why? I'm sorry you're not going to get to see your aunt and you're worried about his the family is going to behave about the funeral. His reasoning behind it was so skewed, too. It was that my mom was so welcoming to him when he joined the family (it was a second marriage), he thought there was a closeness there that I wasn't reciprocating (I don't know, maybe because I'm not my mom?). Either way, I looked at it at the time that it made him feel better to get it off of his chest, but it wouldn't have changed my actions but it gave him peace to move forward. But now that we're experiencing another loss, and I'm far away with two kids under five, it's something that I fear will be held against me in the future

Size 13?! Ds is a 9, 9.5! Josie slips out of the nine, but that's what I've been buying. Smallest cleats I could find this weekend were an 11, and I just loaded on the thick socks to have them fit!

I think it’s it’s adorable she wears cleats, can’t wait to get ds his first pair. Kids in baseball uniforms are too darn cute! Swimming lessons first, so I guess I’ll need to wait another season.

So I am watching Doctor Foster. It is a good series but it is about a woman who finds out her husband is a dirty lying cheater. This probably isn't good to watch while pmsing

I mean, it's your aunt so this is a different situation and I get feeling nervous for the reasons you mentioned but as for the feelings he had about how you handled his parent, I would try to release it. You did everything right and I get people can sometimes be irrational when grieving but five years later still having that against you is way OTT. It's definitely him, not you.

You're reading my mind. I was thinking about her this morning. How is P doing?? 💗 Really good overall but this reflux is so scary. The boys never had it so bad. It comes out of her nose, she turns beet red, and stops breathing briefly. I know they aren't supposed to sleep in the swing but I've been putting her in it at night because I'm so scared to have her flat on her back in the PNP. She's on Zantac but it's not helping much yet. IIRC, it takes a couple weeks to reach therapeutic levels. So we'll see. If she's still having a lot of trouble we will probably need to see if Neocate helps. She's a content, easy baby aside from that. She practically never cries and when she does she calms quickly.

Went in to Dillard’s for B’s jeans, came out with...jeans and a bunch else.
They just get me there, which is great for our closets—not as much for the pocketbook 😂

cagoldi oh no!!! So not what you needed! If I recall correctly, when we started medication with dd (omeprazol) it took a couple of weeks before it really got better. Fingers crossed things with P are the same.

I just caught up on the day and have a lot to comment on. LEt's see what I can remember guster - I'm sorry about your aunt. I also think your cousin's husband is being extra sensitive. Like flamingo, I haven't met a single one of my cousin's spouses' parents and it wouldn't occur to me to go to their funerals! Sounds like his own issues cagoldi - oh no! What did the dr say to keep P away from the Shingles? Also, re: sleeping, do you have a rock N play? I know some are against it, and B never liked it, but S slept like a champ in his, and it keeps them on an incline. Just a thought if you don't want her to sleep in the swing all the time. kim22 holy cow that rain this morning! I looked like a drowned rat after dropping the kids off! They are now in 2 different buildings with lots of puddles in between them... it was terrible!

cagoldi that sucks so bad about the shingles! I hope they clear up quickly. What does this mean for being around P? Evie spent plenty nights sleeping in the swing, granted she wasn't preemie, but many nights it was the only way any of us got any sleep.

cagoldi oh no! Now what? I second the Rock N Play. This is the first baby I had it for because my sister gave it to me. C slept in it for the first 2 months and still naps in it during the day.

Every single one. Charlie lived in the rock and play for 5 months.
