I really wish I could drink...like a lot tonight. I feel this way at least twice a week. I won't lie, I will probably have a drink the day I get home from the hospital. 🥂

My OB also told me in 3rd tri to have a glass of wine every now and then to help with my blood pressure. I happily obliged.

I want to drink enough to shut my mind off and sleep. I don't think one glass would do it even though I'm a super lightweight.

It was nice and sunny this afternoon and I feel like everyone but me was enjoying a beer. Nice weather beers are the best!

Someone at work walked into my office with a fever. Cue face mask, asking them to disinfect, wiping everything with Lysol wipes, and spraying disinfectant around. Too much? Nope. I carry a little Lysol spray, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and wet wipes every where with me. DNW everyone's germs! Also, TP to the person coming in with a fever.

I do wish I could have a drink though. More than 2 doesn't help my sleep at all and only makes things worse. If I want to have 3 drinks I have to start fairly early so one is totally out of my system by bedtime lol.

goldenbird, I feel like the Tylenol arthritis pain works better than the others. I don’t know why, but it actually helps sometimes. It’s the same dosage as 2 regular strength Tylenol. Also yes to a body pillow and a support belt has helped my back and hip pain in a major way. I think I got one for under $20 on amazon.

God, I wish I could drink. But my body lacks the enzyme to break down alcohol, so even when not pregnant, I can't drink unless I"m super carefully building up my tolerance over a year. And even then, I can't drink most things, just rum and whiskey.
My parents are in town for the week, and so far my super picky toddler has eaten everything my mom has given her. I'm thinking of just letting them take her at this point XD.

I already told my mom that I would like a box of Tiff's Treats cookies in the hospital. There's one super close. And I will be reminding her when I call to tell them when they can visit. 😂 No cookies, no baby.

I'm just laughing at myself because I now have 2 bottles of store brand tylenol. That will eventually just go in the trash because fuck tylenol. Support belt will be in my near future to wear to work. MH brought it up a month ago and I was all "oh, I don't think I'll need one" Lol me.

DH and DS are still sleeping and I've been awake since 5:30 because I couldn't shut my mind off about work. I had a review yesterday that was intense. I'm sure my supervisors were trying to be reassuring, but I left feeling more conflicted and thinking that this might not be the right job for me. Plus I cried a lot, which is humiliating. I'm not a cryer and to cry at work....ugh. I feel trapped since I can't do anything until after the baby comes.

I'm sorry PennyCandy. I too have cried at work and it's hard to hold back the tears sometimes. I hope it gets easier for you.

My baby slept in his new room in a big boy bed for the first time last night! He did great and said he slept good and loves his new room! And I didn't cry and only checked the monitor like 11 times.

notmoose was this a transition from toddler bed to big boy bed? Congrats! Although we bedshare, we will eventually start the transition from toddler bed to full size bed hopefully before the next one comes.

notmoose Yay! I'm glad the transition has gone well. I just turned DS's crib into a toddler bed in the hopes of moving him into his big boy bed and room soon. So far, so good. ETA: My DS is not quite 2 yet, so I'm nervous for the room transition. If I recall, your DS is a little older? Any tips?

PennyCandy I feel the same way about work. I really don't want to go back after the baby. But I feel stuck because who would hire me now knowing that I will be taking 10-12 weeks off in August.

Is it too early to wash baby clothes? I made myself a really overwhelming to do list. Alot of it involves moving heavy boxes, and furniture to get the rooms ready. But I feel like I need to do something!!

I've heard so many stories about other ladies in this situation. And I've found that if they truly want to hire you, they will work with your maternity leave. If your unhappy, it's worth it to try.

Does anyone have any support belt recs? I did see some on Amazon. My job is standing/walking/bending for a total of usually 6ish hours a day. I would also wear it while doing housework sometimes. I wear jeans and a uniform shirt so it doesn't matter what it looks like. Other people wear them so it won't look super out of the ordinary.
