I cleaned all 3 bathrooms today. And scrubbed both showers. I am going to be in so much pain tomorrow. Halp.

I am full fledged sick again. I am leaning toward going to the doctor today (maybe urgent care since it is hard to get into my PCP) to ask if they think an antibiotic is warranted. I was really sick 3 weeks ago then slowly was getting better but never fully recovered and now I'm heading back in the other direction again. If its the same illness then I would think it is warranted but if its something new then I would think not. I really don't have time for this :-(

Also the water at work is still slightly discolored today which adds an annoying twist to the day. I guess I can use bottled water to make tea in the microwave.

Oh man, that sounds miserable catspajamas2. It sounds like a trip may be warranted. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm popping in to say hey. I haven't contributed in a long time and definitely need to catch up, but I've been lurking the past couple of days (not well). Work has been crazy and is finally slowing down, so hopefully I'll be able to be on more.

Did you all fast before your 1 hour glucose test?

kam3100, I'm supposed to fast for two hours before. The number on the scale is starting the freak me out. The same thing happened with my last pregnancy. I just don't deal with weight gain well after a lifetime of struggling and my mom's exh constantly telling me I was fat through my tweens and teens. My bras are getting uncomfortable around the band. I guess it's time to switch to something more stretchy.

kam3100 I didn't have to fast for the 1 hour during my first two pregnancies (didn't take it this time)

catspajamas2, i'm sorry you're still not feeling well. didn't you say your DD had strep recently? you should get tested for strep if you haven't been already. i had strep this season after the whole family had it-- the pain/symptoms weren't extreme (in fact the rapid test was negative, but the culture they sent out was positive), but i was just kinda dragging for a long time and not feeling great.

Did you all fast before your 1 hour glucose test? my OB says not to fast- eat normally in the morning, but once you drink the glucose drink, don't eat/drink anything else until after they draw your blood. in the past i've had coffee and just eaten something protein-rich, like hard-boiled eggs.

Did you all fast before your 1 hour glucose test? No I did not because the only one I did was in the afternoon. Even if it's in the morning, I would not fast. Fasting is required for the longer tests because they need a fasting glucose level before the test begins.

kam3100, I'd call and ask, I think it's 50/50. I fasted before mine, and did it first thing in the morning.

We officially finished ds room but I am making excuses not to move him. I'm not ready! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ I got emotional taking his nursery apart, especially since I left the rocker in there. We used that thing every single night for the last 3 years and our cuddles have not been the same on his bedðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜I think part of it is my belly and trying to get comfortable reading on his bed but it has cut bedtime time by a few minutes which is good since it used to take us over an hour. 😯 to over an hour! MH does bedtime. I go in and kiss him, tell him nite nite and sweet dreams. Then MH rocks him for a couple minutes and puts him in the crib. I'm not sure how he'll do it when he moves to the new room. MH falls asleep so easily so laying down with ds could turn into MH sleeping in there... Honestly, anxiety is bugging me and I think that's part of why I'm hesitant to move him over. I worry he'll find something to get hurt on or he'll be scared or not sleep good.

Did you all fast before your 1 hour glucose test? I did with DD, but not with DS and wasn't given instructions to fast next week.

I am so hard on myself about my weight at all times. Hugs

Did you all fast before your 1 hour glucose test? It boggles my mind how much it varies from practice to practice. With my first, I had to fast 8 hours. I was so nauseous and dizzy, almost passed out waiting an hour with that stupid drink in my system (I had to drink it there and wait). With this one, I just have to fast 2 hours, plus I can drink it at home and just go in for the blood draw. I'm envious of the people who don't have to fast.

I do most of the bedtime stuff since DH works late, which is why I need to shorten our routine asap. I get the anxiety about moving him into his new room. I tried kid proofing as much as I could. I put locks on the closet doors and secured his dresser to the wall. He doesn't have a rail on his bed so I put my old body pillow on the floor in case he rolls off. My video monitor also has the option to switch to a wide lens so I can get a visual of the entire room. Now he loves his new room and I'm happy that I made the decision to move him now so that he doesn't feel like the baby is taking his room. Does he know that's his new room? Can you try moving him on a night when you can check on him a few times to make sure he's ok in his new bed?

The doctor prescribed antibiotics for a sinus infection. The internet makes me think that the antibiotics are probably not needed but I’m tied if being sick so I’m going to take them anyway. Hopefully they work and quickly.

cornflakegirl We did all those things too. I bought him a body pillow and a bed rail. We're going to put a mattress under his bed on the rare chance he still falls out, so he lands on that instead of the hardwood. There's nothing in the room that can hurt him and we'll have the monitor. We put a gate up to keep him away from the stairs if he comes out of his room. I do want to go through the play room (right outside his room) to make sure anything dangerous is out. Idk, I think it's just a me issue. My anxiety is getting bad again and I worry about everything. I told MH we would move him after we go through the play room stuff this weekend. Idk. Eta: Yes, he knows it's his room and he's v v v excited about it. He LOVES it.

I’ve had some wicked crotch pain lately. It’s my damn pubic symphasis but fortunately I’ve been able to pop it back into place by squeezing my legs while doing minor pelvic tilts. It’s not getting in the way of too much physical activity but it’s definitely slowed me down at my HIIT class - which the head trainer responded to my feedback beautifully and is going to have the bro trainer watch for 2 weeks to get a feel for the class before she lets him take the lead again. She agreed that he didn’t get that the HIIT class isn’t CrossFit lite, and that we have a variety of ability levels to consider. Being pregnant again has given me a refined perspective on ableism, a concept I was aware of but didn’t really appreciate previously.

Someone hit my truck at the grocery and just left. The damage isn't too bad, but still. MH called the store and they're going to check their video to see if they caught it.
