Also I keep forgetting to ask you guys... I feel like lately S smells. Like even right after a bath. I’m still using the Johnson’s baby products and I’m wondering if he needs something more? Anyone have any experience with this? I also think some of it might be bad breath, no matter how well we brush his teeth.

tallb did your mom watch the kids while you went out? Glad you got a chance to get out!! wineallthetime that is crazy. Creepy weird! she did! We left after they were both asleep though, so just on wakeup duty, but they both stayed asleep thankfully. It was great!

It's cold with freezing rain here. C and L are craaaaaanky and I may lose my mind. If I had morning booze I'd be drinking it.

Colin gets a bath everyday and a shampoo 3 times a week. DH was laughing at me yesterday because I kept saying that he stinks. Part of it may be that his hair is a bit longer, maybe. But we normally just use bubble soap and the suds from his shampoo. Clearly it's not enough but his skin is pretty sensitive, so I get nervous about new things.

DH stayed up late watching TV so he's just not getting out of bed. It's cool (35 degrees cooler than yesterday!) and is supposed to be rainy. We need to grocery shop and get Colin to skating. I want to do nothing.
At least Chase woke up in a good mood. And with a black eye, because of course he did.

I switched to Suave Kids about 1.5 years ago. I buy the giant pump battle and love it. It’s shampoo and body wash and has a great fresh smell to it. Occasionally I also use Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner on her. Lol. I love the smell and it makes her hair sooo soft. It doesn’t burn her eyes either unlike some other “adult “ shampoos that I’ve used in a pinch when we were not at home.
ETA - I really dislike the very strong fruity smell of a lot of the “kids” shampoos/body washes.

wineallthetime I was ready to goingm A really was a super baby. tallb I'm so glad your mom is able to travel solo and watch the kids. Great progress for her! jewels we have a fluoride rinse that we have been using like a mouthwash. Not sure if that would help or a good flossing. We also brush the tongue each time.

Morning! Night two went great without the nuk. I can’t believe it!
We’re staying in again today and will at least work on the basement. We need to move the insulation from the walls to the ceiling to get ready for spray foam insulation.
The kids are playing together upstairs so I’m enjoying coffee in peace. Dh is just finishing snow blowing again. So glad I don’t have to do that!

I'm drinking a mimosa while feeding A. Then I plan to deep clean the playroom! So many toys out of place and so much junk to throw away.

DH stayed home with Chase and I took Col to skating. He has a habit of spacing out but today he started play falling with another kid in his group. They had a sub today and she may never come back.

This is what I'm leaning towards. Can I just bring our bed to a hotel? I love my bed. I'm kinda loving the idea of being away. Away from all the kids things, dishes, laundry, ect. I wonder if we won't feel as rushed back to reality when we wake up if we aren't surrounded by our daily life reminders. MH did so much the 5 weeks I mostly spent in the hospital with A. He never once complained while he worked full time, took care of C&L, went back and forth to the hospital, kept the house clean, laundry done, ect. I would do hotel for those reasons and get a late checkout. Same.

Yesterday was good, except I hardly got anything done. I blame the weather. After teeball, we came home and only put laundry in the wash. I got pretty lazy because it was very overcast and expecting rain, only it didn’t come until 10pm. I have to play catch up today. I’m off tomorrow, but will be at the hair salon for who knows how long, so I don’t want to put it off until then.

Holy cow that is a crazy amount of snow, trtlcrzy. Not much planned today. On our way to the park with the kids. Poppy is in the middle seat and both the boys are petting her and holding her hands. So cute.

Hi all! Just got back from our 3rd Home Depot run of the weekend, I feel like homeowners again mwhip Godspeed on the sanding and painting. jewels I can't imagine it would be body odor or anything at such a young age; my guess would be bad breath. I'd try mouthwash or flossing and see if that helps. wineallthetime I love the hotel idea, it will be spotless with a sparkling bathroom and crisply-made bed that you didn't have to do! It's raining here today; the good weather was nice while it lasted. At least our new landscaping is getting lots of water!

@lahdeehdah Thanks, they both just went to bed fever free. I’m thankful we skipped a family bbq and just spend a quiet day around the house.

C and L are both napping, it's a miracle! I want to nap, but I'm enjoying uninterrupted baby snuggles. My parents and sister are coming over. My dad hasn't seen A since the day he was born and hasn't held him yet!

Would you let a 15yr old babysit your 3yr and 10ry old and let them go swimming in your pool if they have life jackets? SD did this last summer and I felt uncomfortable about it. She does 8hrs of babysitting for $30. Now she is 16 and can get a job with minimum wage but won't because she has the babysitting job. I would feel uncomfortable with my kids swimming alone with her. I wouldn't let her watch E in the pool of I wasn't there except maybe if I ran inside. She isn't a strong swimmer and doesn't know life saving techniques for drowning. Am I the only one? Does this seem really relaxed as a parent to ask her to babysit and allow swimming?

Sunny41 That doesn’t sound like a good idea regardless of her age. Kids should be supervised by someone who would have no problem swimming to them and getting them out if something happens.

Sunny41 I’m wouldn’t be happy with that, but in the first place because she isn’t a strong swimmer. I’ve taken my cousins to the pool loads of times, but I consider myself a good swimmer.

I mean would you take another kid to the pool with you without the parent around? I don't think I would do that unless I knew the parent was a few minutes behind. It is just so much liability. I might be more flexible with family but still very alert and on edge the whole time.
