Party has been cancelled! We’re going to hunker down and watch movies and eat pizza. I haven’t left the house since Thursday night, lol but I’m not complaining.

Also Sunny41 - are you still working near Childrens? Or did you move to another office? We will be there for an appt on Wednesday if you are still close by and want to try and grab lunch. That would be great. I still work in the same area Awesome! Her Neurologist appt is at 10:30 so we *should* be done by 11:30 or 12. I will text you Tuesday evening to touch base.

You know it's time to leave a party when your kid kicks another square in the chest 🤦

Headed home from dinner; our friends are about a block off the beach so we let the kids play in the sand before dinner, and then the guys did steak and shrimp on the grill, which were delicious. Such a fun night.
@all our midwestern and northern ladies, stay safe in the snow!!

I'm planning a kid free night as a surprise for MH and I. Dinner would be in the city we met, a fun downtown about 25min from our house. Do I book a hotel or plan to uber back to our house for a kid free night? Just not sure what would be better. Loving the thought of being totally out of our house, but also loving having a whole uninterrupted in our own bed.

Just got home. I'm so nervous for when I go out. I found more things not done right and it's not good. I really need someone to give me confidence that they can do it by themselves.

wineallthetime if the the kids won’t be in the house I’d probably go home. It would be nice to sleep in and be home. Then again.... a hotel would be nice. Sorry I’m no help

wineallthetime I just wanna know who’s watching the kids?! I’m not sure I could get anyone in my family to do that for me for any amount of money lol. I’d get a hotel and enjoy the time away! That sounds amazing! You guys deserve a break.

This is what I'm leaning towards. Can I just bring our bed to a hotel? I love my bed. I'm kinda loving the idea of being away. Away from all the kids things, dishes, laundry, ect. I wonder if we won't feel as rushed back to reality when we wake up if we aren't surrounded by our daily life reminders. MH did so much the 5 weeks I mostly spent in the hospital with A. He never once complained while he worked full time, took care of C&L, went back and forth to the hospital, kept the house clean, laundry done, ect.

I would do hotel for those reasons and get a late checkout.

Checking in so late! Josie had soccer and the coach talked due so long that by the time they went to the field to play she was over it. Tough first impression. My favorite little cousin (he's 29!) came to visit and we went out for Mexican and we walked the beach a bit with the kids. What a beautiful sunny day. Im having a hard time with Charlie bc he's in that awful in between stage of the ability and the desire to do things but the absolute inability to follow directions. It's hard to do anything with both kids without feeling super frustrated. I have a bridal shower next week and I ordered one of those harem-like one piece rompers. It's so pretty but GIANT on me. I look like I stuffed a hula-hoop inside of me. I tried it on over my clothes today and you could easily fit another person or two in there with me.

wineallthetime I'd get a room, get away from everything so that nothing makes you feel like you should be doing something else. sands42 I think you asked, yes, we are taking pics of everything and I will share. We hired my moms painter to do the living room and entry way, they are painting Thursday and Friday. We paid for the backsplash, tile for 3 bathrooms and wood for entry ways today. I'll be so glad then it's all done!

So C said he would help and clean up the house before the nanny got here to watch LO. He then texted me to say he started a load of towels. I was so happy. Then I got home. He hid everything in the guest room/baby's room. You know the room I spent two days working on. Then I opened the washing machine, he put the towels in but didn't start it. At least he tried I guess but I'll be staying up later then expected to work on getting laundry done and cleaning the gr/br. Oh well

wineallthetime you and yh both deserve a great night together. I recommend a hotel within walking distance of dinner and entertainment. If you are at home you will go to sleep early and wake up early. This way you can at least hangout at the hotel bar before making nookie

Hii - I've been busy the past few days. Yesterday I took a half comp day and we signed our will and trust and then my mom arrived from my sister's via bus/metro, so she's here. Today we went to the elementary school used book sale and spent $32 on $.50-$1 books - barely could carry our haul home, whoops! Then did the spring closet cleanout and legit found a bin of winter clothes that I forgot to pull out this winter, lol, obviously important clothes since I forgot they existed. Then after bedtime we went out for sushi and gelato which literally may be our first night out since N was born😲. Swim class and then a bday lunch for my brother tomorrow, so will be driving all over the state tomorrow.
Be safe in the storms - we are getting the rain tomorrow here, 22 degree drop tomorrow😑.

So odd. When I got up for A's first wakeup the glider in his room was tipped over on the floor. I put him to bed and the glider was normal. It's not like it's easy to tip over. I never heard a crash. I don't think MH got up with A at all before I did and I don't think C got up at all...his room is right next to ours and the doors are open, so it's not like he's too far away for me to hear something...

Ok, mystery solved. Apparently MH got up with him at 10pm when I was in a deep sleep. He tripped and fell into the glider abd knocked it over. I'm shocked I heard none of this, I'm usually a light sleeper!

Morning! The kids both slept like crap and have a low grade fever. I think the kids were/are just a little bit overstimulated after a busy week and then the zoo yesterday, so quiet day at home today to give them some down time and time to be bored. I just need groceries and want to take a stroll into town for some basics for dd and ds.

Morning! I’ve been reading but having difficulty finding time to post. MH is out of town and I’ve been battling insomnia (falling asleep fine but waking up super early... this morning it was 3:40) so I’m extra cranky and trying hard to not lose my patience with the kids da.
But yesterday was a beautiful day so we spent a lot of time at the park and they both had a blast. Today it’s supposed to rain all day, so a target run, then probably letting tv parent
