Welcome to the IVF check-in for April 12! Check-ins will be every Monday (jacks) and Thursday (bonzo). If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. Hey everyone! Sorry I've been a bit MIA again, life got busy as usual.
My nurse wants me to work on improving my uterine blood flow over the next couple months before our donor cycles. She has me taking baby aspirin, increased my Vitamin E, and I started acupuncture. The acupuncturist wants me to totally cut out dairy, sweeteners, caffeine, alcohol, and even fruit for the next couple weeks! It's like doing a Whole 30 but more intense in some areas. I guess I'll do my best and see if it works!

I have no real new updates, other than my knee surgery is in 2 weeks. At this point the earliest we can cycle is June, and I'm just defeated. {TW - OPP}My sister is due in September (same month as our loss of DD)... and found out yesterday she is having a girl.
I'm ok but not ok at the same time - I did NOT handle it well yesterday afternoon. It was like hours of ugly crying for why my life is the way it is. I haven't been around here much because I've just been not handling things well, sorry!

I have had a lot of friends and family announce in our 3 years of trying. I thought my sister's would be the worst but I had already kind of mentally prepared for those. It was the most recent one from a close friend that I had already been trying when she got pregnant with her first and this was her second she was telling us about. I ugly cried all night. ((Hugs))

Hi all!
I’m around, but rarely on a desktop version which makes it hard to post the full check in.
Transfer was really simple. The worst part was waiting for the go ahead before I could get up to pee. I greatly enjoyed my day of bed rest afterwards.
The TWW is just painfully slow though. I feel like every day is 10 days long. I’m just keeping myself busy with over analyzing every symptom, naturally.
The IM shots are getting better. They don’t burn quite as much anymore and my muscle feels like it just gave up on trying to heal and is no longer as painfully sore.

So I tested this morning at 9dp3dt and it’s positive! It is more positive than my last test at the same time (that ended in MC) so that is helping some of my nerves at least for the time being. Still nervous about implantation being in the correct spot or the same thing that happened last time with bad betas. First beta is Thursday so I still have a way to go.

FX so hard for you, jense927! Try to take it easy this week and not stress about beta...I know, it's easier said than done!

bonzo, thanks for the check-in! Your diet seems challenging, but it's definitely worth a shot! fikafairy, that's so rough. This IF stuff is so unfair. Good luck with your surgery! jacks, good luck!

AFM, I'm pretty meh. {Spoiler - TW }I was in beta hell for a while, and it didn't end well. After going up only slowly, and my nurse telling me we'd have to track to 0, it went up by a lot to almost be in the normal range... and then the next one went down. It was really rough. We had our WTF with the RE a couple weeks ago. Apparently the MC rate at my clinic with tested embryos is like 7%, so once again we're on the wrong end of the stats. The only other thing really to test for is immune factors. We have one untested embryo left, so we'll try that first. If that doesn't work (and it has about a 50% chance of being euploid, based on the stats for my age) then we will try another retrieval, and if we can test something we will, and if we get a euploid embryo we will do immune testing. Or at least that's the plan right now. The thought of doing another retrieval makes me want to cry, but I think I have one more in me if I have to. I really hope I don't have to. Right now I'm waiting on AF, and next cycle (next AF) we will start FET prep. Estimated transfer is beginning of June. Sorry for the word vomit.

Beta was negative. I haven’t heard from the doctor yet, but I guess we’ll reassess the plan and try again.
In the meantime, I’m hoping to lose the weight I’ve gained since starting all of this.

Sorry sally being on the wrong side of the stats is so disheartening. I hope your untested embryo works out just fine and you don't need to do another retrieval. jacks sorry for the negative beta. Sorry I don't remember do you have any frozen embryos from your last retrieval?

Thanks, it was tough news to take, especially while sitting at work surrounded by people.
It just sucks.
But yes, we do have more frozen embryos. I don’t know/remember the quality. I haven’t heard back from the doctor yet, so I’ll probably call tomorrow if I haven’t heard back. I’m hoping we can move right into the next cycle instead of waiting.
I’m also having a reaction to the pio injections. I’m going to see about switching to something with a different preservative.

((Hugs)) Jacks. I am so sorry. Finding out at work is the absolute worst. This process is so isolating and difficult.
I am hoping you can move right into the next cycle. Sorry about the PIO. Have you tried the crinone?
