Come check in and tell us about your walkers, crawlers, scooters, rollers!
How old? What are they up to now? What are they working on next? How's babyproofing going? What kinds of mischief are they getting into?

J is a fast crawler at 10 months. He is just starting to pull himself up to standing. He hasn't move into the crib in his room yet but I'm going to have to lower it before he can.
One of his favorite games is to unload all of the diapers on the bottom shelf of the diaper cart. We repeat this game many times a day. I still need to get a baby gate for the stair and cabinet locks but for now he is well supervised.
I think I'm going to get him a walker/wagon thing.

DS is 7mo and rolling all over right now. We have all hardwood, so we have to border the area rug with blankets so he's less likely to roll onto his back just as the hardwood starts.
He'll get up on all fours and do the backwards scoot. Or he'll get up on hands and toes and do a weird plank/pike situation. I think as soon as he can pull up, he'll be running. His exersaucer gets a serious workout.

DD is 13 months and she's a pretty good walker. Getting better at uneven surfaces and stepping around things in her way. Our basement and living room are both pretty well babyproofed. I've moved all the things she shouldn't get up to higher cabinets in the kitchen. We bought drawer and cabinet locks but they're a real pain to install.
She's moved from just pulling things out of drawers/bins/bags to sometimes putting them back.
She doesn't have too many words, but she has a few (hi, dog, dada, yeah). I think she says a few others - she says one thing that sounds a lot like our dog's name. It seems like she's moved quicker on physical milestones than verbal ones - a friend's daughter who is the same age can say quite a bit (including the alphabet) but can't walk yet.

Our pediatrician said three words by 12 months so it seems like she's right on track. J is pretty close to saying dada. He is starting to try and repeat things. My favorite is "blub blub blub" for a fish or bubble sound.

N is 10 months and mostly cruising furniture/walls still. She can stand for ten or seconds and has taken a couple steps, but I think we still have a month or two before she really starts trying more than that. She’s into a lot of mischief and climbed up our ladder last night. I thought I could trust her, but nope.

A year in 2 weeks 😬 he’s starting to let go when standing and can walk with a buggy. He hasn’t figured out how to turn the buggies though, yet.
He babbles a lot, which I’m not used to.. DS1 was/is speech delayed so that’s my only point of reference really.
I don’t do too much in the way of proofing other than gating the stairs, locks on doors and cabinets, and tethering furniture. I use the North Star gates to keep the tv and associated stuff cordoned off.
So far, his mischief comes from being an instigator to his brother

DS1 is cruising like a champ (10.5 months) and can stand unassisted for several minutes. He can walk holding onto our fingers but hasn't gotten the courage to do it solo yet.
He is such a little trouble maker! He's always bugging his brother or pestering the dog and when I say "B, no, no!" he laughs hysterically. So I foresee a little mischief maker! He's been able to climb the stairs since he started crawling, obviously with us right next to him!

lupincat J pouts and starts crying whenever I tell him no. Like after he bites my nipple. I should be the one crying buddy!

DD has definitely perfected the mischievous look back. She knows she isn't supposed to mess with the dog bowls, so she'll reach a hand towards them and then turn to look at me like "haha, look what I'm going to do!"

DS2 is 7 months already! He rolls like it's his job. He also likes to get into downward dog and kind of push forward on his forehead 😒.
This past week he's really perfected the roll halfway, stick a foot under him, scoot forward, then roll back. It's this weird looking process that seems to get him all over the place 😂
We haven't done too much babyproofing, but I don't think there's actually much to do. Our outlets and furniture are still all pretty secure from when DS1 was a baby, we just never 'unbabyproofed' I guess.

A is 8.5 months and started crawling forward about 2 weeks ago. Now he’s a baby on a mission to destroy all the things. MH keeps standing him up and trying to walk him and I’m not ready!
He babbles A LOT. Like constantly and then will screech like a pterodactyl. 😆

She's taking after her big brother lol. Haha I thought she’d be my chill baby. Well, that’s your problem. Why’d you have go and think that? Don’t you know they *know* what we think and do the opposite by now??

V is 10.5 months and walking like a champ! From a few steps two weeks ago to preferring to walk everywhere this week. She also loves climbing the stairs. We didn't really baby proof except covering outlets and moving things that are breakable above her height. We are moving at the end of May so we didn't want to deal with baby gates and such so we just follow her carefully or put her in the PNP to be contained if needed. The new house will *definitely* be more baby proofed though!

I can't wait for DS2 to walk (famous last words...) but I love chubby little half baby/half toddlers teetering around. Some of my favorite videos of DS1 are when he first started walking.

Ds2 is juuuust starting to army crawl at almost 7 months. Once he figures it out completely, we are done for. The cat will never be safe again and I'll never be able to find the diaper cream. Both are favorite "toys" of ds2.

J actually started kind of running today. I was shocked. She’s been walking for about a month and I guess she felt like she wasn’t moving fast enough. She doesn’t care about falling at all. We are still fighting the shoe battle. She refuses to wear shoes, which means she can’t walk outside and this frustrates her to no end. I don’t know what to do to get her to wear shoes!

I'm in awe of these babies walking so early. I wonder what it is about shoes that she hates so much? Maybe now that it is warmer you can try sandal types that are more open?
